I honestly feel like we found a "secret diamond" of dental care in Tampa. Dr. Jerry took his time explaining everything to me (he is considerate and warm, and doesn't make you feel rushed), and on the FUN side, he wears silly Ninja turtle socks and tiger stripe pants! After the cleaning, your children get to pick their own toothbrush and bag of goodies, and at the very end, the kids get a token to pick something from the machine-my girls LOVED it! Today Amanda helped my daughter. She was very thorough in explaining what was going to be done. She walked us through each task and made sure my daughter was comfortable the entire time. As my daughter finished, she came and got me and told me how everything went. We checked out and she was given a token to pick out a prize from one of their machines. We were able to schedule her next appointment right away and was told we would also get a text reminder when the appointment was near.

The waiting area is bright & welcoming as are the receptionists.The exam rooms are very clean & often have a pleasant view of an enclosed garden area. First, Gabby at the front desk is so polite, patient and caring. I have a crazy schedule and sometimes I have to change my appointments (a few times) and she is understanding, enthusiastic and bubbly. Sonalee is the sweetest assistant. She loves every patient, will talk and listen to you and you feel you are in good hands. Most importantly Dr Pojtek is so ethical. If your tooth can be saved with a filling which she makes much less money, she will save your tooth. Most dentist offices want to put a crown on every tooth, not Dr Pojtek. I always tell her she has my never ending loyalty. I recommend this office 100%.

Dr. Scott performed the work and he is exceptional, as well as the assistant! I was offered a clean blanket incase I was cold and they even applied hydration to my lips before the procedure. Dr. Scott walked me through the entire process from numbing to suction and when there would be pressure. It's an extremely polite, positive, and fun environment which translated to my amazing experience. I also love the newer design of the office and the cleanliness. I came in last week for a routine cleaning and had an extremely disappointing experience. I want to…read morenote first that the dental assistant, Victoria, was very kind and professional -- I have nothing negative to say about her. Unfortunately, my experience with the dental hygienist was the opposite. Throughout the cleaning, she became visibly frustrated with me for not being able to open my mouth wider or fully relax my tongue. I explained multiple times that I was opening as wide as I could. She would sigh and say aggressively "You need to work together with me here" which I found ridiculous considering I'm a paying patient and this is her job, not mine. At one point, I told her that it is her job to guide me on when to open and close my mouth, as I was doing my best to follow her instructions, but her directions became repetitive and confusing. The situation escalated when she sprayed water into my mouth and then left the suction hanging out of the side of my mouth for an extended period of time while she leaned back in her chair with her arms crossed, visibly annoyed. She then asked me, "So are you ever going to open your mouth?" which I found extremely rude and unprofessional. I asked to speak with Dr. Gassler because I felt uncomfortable with how I was being treated. When he came into the room, I explained what had occurred. He responded by saying that he had never received a complaint like this before, which made my concerns feel dismissed rather than addressed. I was then asked if I wanted the hygienist to finish my cleaning, which I declined, as I no longer felt comfortable with her continuing my care. When the hygienist returned, she offered a backhanded apology that quickly shifted into placing blame on me and lecturing me again about how to open and close my mouth. At that point, I left the appointment. I never asked for her name because I genuinely could not get out of the building fast enough. No one has reached out to me even though they said they would call me the following Monday (today). I have never been treated so poorly at a dental or medical office, and I nor my family will ever be returning.

This office runs like a well-oiled machine, if you have an appointment at 9am you are seen at 9am (basically unheard of in this day in age). The staff is professional and courteous, you are sent reminder emails about your appointment which is nice for people who forget or are just busy with life. So for my personal experience here it is: 1. I have had a cleaning done by Ashley who gave me a great, pain-free cleaning while also giving me more information on dental hygiene than I could have ever imagined, which I appreciated. 2.I have had several fillings in the past 2 weeks and not one time did I experience pain during or after. Dr. Pamela Adams kept me at ease during both procedures and made sure I was calm and comfortable. 3. Finally and most importantly I became a patient because of debilitating jaw pain I was having. At one point I wasn't even able to touch my teeth, this caused horrible headaches and was making my everyday life a living hell. After a consult, Dr. Adams diagnosed me with TMJ and told me my problem was that I grind my teeth while I sleep she recommended a bite plate for the jaw problems. She took a mold of my teeth and within a week my bite plate was ready. I went in for it to be fitted and now I sleep with it every day. Since day one of using this I have had no jaw pain, and no headaches. My life has drastically improved as well as my overall dental health. I cannot thank Dr. Pamela Adams and the entire staff at Adams Dental enough for the great work they do.
