The rest of the staff members seem to be nice women, except for their lead receptionist. I remember she called me once making me feel demanding and obligated to come to the appointments here. She constantly pressured me to make it on time, and I had to put her in her place. I usually got called to be seen from the lobby quick. But waiting for the doctor inside the medical room would sometimes take at least 25 minutes. He gave me an arm shot once and prescribed me a gel that didn't help at all, neither did the physical therapy. After seeing Dr Ben at the Lauderdale Lakes office, I completely stopped business with this company after he stated that a "frozen shoulder" diagnosis is a PROCESS to heal. Then he told me that if I didn't heal within the next 5 months, he'd do surgery on my arm. He obviously was going to FORCE it to heal faster than it should. A friend of mine told me not to do the surgery because it might just be an insurance grab. And when I decided not to do the surgery, my shoulder started feeling better on it's own. You can't FORCE anyone to not have pain, especially when it's a process and everyone heals differently. I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews for this business.

Truly a remarkable professional with a wonderful personality to help me smile despite the unarguable pain that is required to get me back to living the active, athletic life I've intended. Further, having them only a couple miles away from home, in my neighborhood, makes regular appointment so incredibly convenient a busy, overscheduled life. So many people depend on me. I'm so grateful I can depend on Martin and Atlantic Rehab.

The standard they upheld I saw put in practice every single day, including quality, empathy, expertise, and just overall providing the upmost service and care. This is a privately owned physical therapy office with two physical therapist as partners - Nancy, and Howard. Both are super experienced. I had to come here because I had a random neuromuscular injury and I came here for about six months because I found it so helpful . I primarily saw Nancy and her manual work is unmatched! I had a lot of locked up upper body muscle muscles, where I couldn't even lift my left arm all the way up. She did manual work massages in the areas that needed it to get the tissue to freeze up at every session and then would assign me physical therapy work in their gym. That was essential for my case. Prior to coming to this office, I had tried out another physical therapy office, I won't name any names, but I really dislike them and immediately stop going to them after the first session. On the entire hand at Orthosport, I stayed with them a little bit longer because I just enjoyed their service so much. And not to mention, they're such friendly and warm people. Not money grabbers at all. They want you to be able to improve and leave with skills to maintain your body and not have you come back unnecessarily. They accept different health insurances . They helped me navigate my insurance and my work medical leave paperwork Manual. Super experienced. I have not won slightly negative thing to say about this office. I think they're angels - from the front desk to the physical therapist to the occasional students that help out.

Please consult this review prior to seeking care from Christopher Fanella or Dr. Fishman:…read more In 2021, I saw Dr. Fishman and his PA Christopher Fanella, for chronic back pain. An MRI was performed, and the radiologist's report clearly noted a congenital birth defect called lipomyelomeningocele. Despite this being documented in the report, Fishman and Fanella disregarded that finding and told me I was "fine," that I've had this issue since birth, and attributed my pain solely to disc bulging and herniation. I followed their recommendations, including physical therapy. Over the years, my pain persisted and physical therapy failed to provide AND relief. I tried to manage my pain the best I could with intermittent steroids and naproxen to no avail. The whole process was physically and emotionally debilitating. Finally, In 2025, I returned to their care due to excruciating pain and underwent another MRI. The findings related to tethered cord syndrome (lipomyelomeningocele) remained unchanged. Yet again, instead of further evaluating this congenital condition or referring me to a neurosurgeon, Mr. Fanella continued to recommend more physical therapy and said the defect that the defect that the radiologist noted for a SECOND time had nothing to do with the excruciating pain I was experiencing. He referred me back to PT despite me telling him that it was making my condition worse. After multiple failed attempts at physical therapy, I sought care from another back specialist, Dr. Vecchione. Upon reviewing my MRI, that doctor immediately referred me to a neurosurgeon. In 2026, nearly 5 years after my initial visit with Dr. Fishman, I was formally diagnosed with tethered cord syndrome/spina bifida by a neurosurgeon which is the cause of my extreme , chronic lower back pain that I have endured for over 10 years. Because this office failed to take the time to fully evaluate my MRI findings or investigate the tethered cord noted as far back as 2021, I endured years of misdiagnosis, unmanaged pain, and significant mental health distress. I am now facing the possibility of surgery to untether my spinal cord; something I was explicitly told years ago was "nothing to worry about." If this was not caught when it was, I could have had life changing consequences for something as routine as receiving an epidural during childbirth. My condition has worsened, and I have lost valuable years during which earlier intervention and monitoring could have made a meaningful difference. I strongly encourage patients to stay away from this practice. You will not receive individualized, intentional treatment. Your pain and MRI results will not be taken seriously, and you will likely end up in a PT mill
