Great fall golf! The course is in good shape. I walk a 9 hole round in about 80 minutes. Challenging greens.

I have played on many golf courses in Minnesota, and this is the worst! It certainly isn't a championship golf course, as you advertise...that's a joke!

There were a few people in front of me, but the pace of play was fantastic with minimal waiting. No one can complain about 18 holes in under 3 hours! The course is looking better and better every year. All of the bunkers have new sand in them which I made sure to try out four different times to have a thorough review ;). The greens rolled true and had decent speed. There are a few unique holes on this course that require some strategy and shot making to do well. It definitely isn't wide open and there is a lot of potential to lose balls. There are also a few holes that are lined with houses on one side or the other. The typically don't come into play unless you hit a very poor shot. If you are a decent golfer, this is a really fun course. If you have trouble getting the ball in the air regularly, this would be very very frustrating. The only negative is that the bugs were bad. I would suggest taking some bug spray with you. There were two holes on the front nine that are quite damp, and I thought I was going to be carried away by the mosquitoes. The rest of the course were still buggy but tolerable. It may have been due to it still being relatively early and I was walking making me an easy meal.

Taken together, it's a great place for a round of golf. Rates are very reasonable here. The day we played here, there were not a lot players so it went pretty fast. The clubhouse has a complete bar and beer on tap. We just had hot dogs at the turn but they have a good menu. The staff is very friendly. Definitely will be back.

I did par a couple of the par threes and played mostly bogie golf so it was one of my better rounds. The carts were a bit old but they did have a gps which is helpful for yardage. Tee boxes were pretty beat up but greens and fairways were in great shape. I did lose a couple of balls in the long grass but it was very open and easy to see your shots and where you needed to hit. I gave a one star lower rating than I normally would because it was the slowest round I've played in years. Our threesome finished in just under 5 hours. That is just way too long to play 18 holes. We waited on every shot. The tee times were 9 min apart which is pretty typical so I don't know why it was so slow. Also take note this was a Monday afternoon. How a Monday afternoon tee time takes 5 hours is beyond me. We did use our MN PGA card and got a good rate, loved the course, but the time to play it may be a deterrent for future rounds.

Very high priced! And to me, was not worth this kind of money. It seemed very organized and it was smooth. We didn't wait very long to be seated. It felt spacious, but that could've been because we are the end of it. The desserts were very scarce at this time. Not being replenished either. I missed having mashed potatoes and gravy. No corn or beans. Prime rib was the best. A big yuck complaint of mine, yet tables were not wiped off after each guest!!! Very unsanitary and disgusting and gross!!! All they did was lay a cloth napkin over their table cloth . Yuck. It was gross. We had food crumbs leftover from the party of people before us. There was a long black beard type hair on the table! There was a spill. It had spots of grime. I just didn't want to even touch the table at all. I didn't want to set my plate on my napkin covering all this nasty from before me! Ish! It was very dirty. Even on a cloth tablecloth you have to wash it off. So, gross tables and the price was just too high. We will try somewhere else next year.

The course has been in good shape both times, with green fairways but some burnt out areas around tees and high-use areas. The greens are receptive and surprisingly quick, presenting enough contours that some pin positions are challenging to chip to. All in all, this is a fairly straightforward layout. There's a long Par 5 around a large lake that presents several risk-reward shots. The Par 3's can be pretty easy with a front pin, but the greens are large enough that a back pin calls for 1-3 more clubs. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, although I don't believe I ever saw a ranger on the course. The pro shop is pretty well stocked, and the snack bar offers a number of craft beers along with limited grilled menu items. This would be a great course to play a relaxing round of golf (if such a thing really exists!).
