I relocated to the Denver area and was attempting to find a salon that would order the same wig as…read morethe one I've always had. I knew the exact brand, style, color etc. When I called Isabel on 3/14 I explained what I was looking for. She said she would contact the company to get a quote and that she had recently ordered one from them even though she typically sells a different brand. About a week later she called back saying attempted to call them but was told they needed her beauty license and info so they would tell her a price. She asked me to come in and schedule a visit to see her inventory. In the meantime, she would send her information to the company and get me a price for what I wanted. I made an appointment to see her on 3/20. When I arrived she still had not sent her information to the company that I wanted to order from and still did not have a price. We tried on several of her products. In the end, I explained that I wanted the product that I already have and asked her again if she would contact them and so we can get the exact price and order it. On 4/1 she called and left me a message with a ballpark amount. I texted her back and asked her to give me the actual price. She had previously told me she wanted a check sent to her before she would order anything so I asked her for the price, address, and who to make it out to. A few days passed before she called and barked at me that it was too difficult to get a hold of me. I explained that while I'm at work I can't take calls, I texted her the response which my iphone shows she read it. She denied ever receiving the message. She again said she had not sent her information to the company. She still only had a ballpark figure and wanted to know when I wanted to order it. It seems this circle never ends. I told her I was agreeable to the ballpark figure but before I just send money to her, I need the actual amount she's charging. I asked her to text the information since I can't take calls at work. About an hour later she called and didn't leave a message. Overall, it seems she will make it as difficult as possible to buy the item I wanted. She only wants to sell her product, which I wish she would have told me a month ago. As far as her products, she definitely seems to push selling real hair or hand sewn wigs which are extremely expensive. Some of the advice she gave conflicts with what other salons have told me (and that I have practiced for years). She told me that synthetic wigs cannot be brushed, not even with a wig brush. That you should only wash them once every 3-4 months. She did not want to cut the wig so that it would have bangs. She was constantly saying that I needed to pick a different brand because the one I want to order will probably discontinue it and then I'll be in trouble even though she seems completely unfamiliar with the company that I want to order from. Her shop seemed dated to say the least. The more I tried to deal with her, the less confidence I had that she would deliver what I was looking for. If you don't mind having someone pretty much pressure you to buy exactly what they want to sell you, go ahead and go there. Otherwise stay away.

I found a couple of packs of hair that would do the job, but there were no price tags. I asked the woman at the register to check the price and she scanned them both, an 18" and 22" pack. In the same brand in the same line, the 18" inch rang up as $49.99, and the 22" rang up with a very different description and at $99.95. I asked the woman at the register if she could double check the price of the 22" pack, because 4 additional inches doesn't usually double the price and the description was off. She came back and said the manager told her that the prices in the system were wrong, and that the 18" were $79.99 and 22" were $120. I was pretty shocked that my questionable $150 purchase had just been raised to $200 after price checking the original prices in the system. I asked to speak with her, and she came up and was insistent that these new prices were correct, with zero apology for the increase or for their apparent error in loading the prices in their POS system. I told her that if I hadn't asked about the 22" price, I could've just paid the amount on the register and been done, and she said no, the woman at the register would have known something was wrong and gotten the manager anyway. Ummm... that's now what was happening. The woman at the register was very gracious about it all, the manager... notsomuch. Next time I'll have to allow more time to order from somewhere else where the prices for the 18" are $40-$60 and the 22" are $60-$80.

Hana right away put me at ease and provided me with information that I didn't even know I needed. She took the time to look at my natural hair, she found three wigs that matched my hair color perfectly and all three looked so natural and, dare I say, attractive. Honestly, Hana made the process way easier than I ever expected it to be. She is truly a blessing to those of us who, for whatever reason, need to purchase a wig. I felt the pricing was as I expected. And honestly, since this will be an extension of myself for a while, I feel pricing was really good. The Salon itself is clean and everything is in order, it's a comfortable space. I will definitely be back for some of the services that Hana Designs offers. Thank you Hana for an incredible experience. You are the best!

If zero stars were an option, that's what Kim's Wig Botik would get…read more My friend is going through chemo and losing her hair. We went to this store to try on wigs. She found what we were told was a dyable wig for $795. The color is far too dark for her, so she made the purchase based on their statement that it could be lightened. Jesse, the woman who sold the wig, said the wig could be dyed there or by a stylist. My friend has curly hair, and finding a wig for her has been a challenge. It turns out that the wig could not be dyed by a stylist. So we brought it back requesting a refund (and yes, I understand that they have a sign that says no refunds or exchanges; however, this was a purchase made on a false promise). My friend agreed to let them try to color it there for a very expensive price. The colorist did dye a small portion but then texted to say that while she was able to lighten that section, she would not dye the whole wig because she was afraid of the curl loosening. She glibly wrote that the wig was dried up front, waiting for pick up. We went to the store, but the manager was not there. The woman who sold the wig lied about what she told us. The conversation got heated, and we agreed to come back when the manager was there. We returned to the store last Saturday and met with the manager, Anna. She said she would make an exception and exchange the wig. Unfortunately, there were no other options in the inventory. My friend agreed that she would let them dye the whole wig, risking the curl. That's when they said they would not dye it because she was "too picky." "Too picky" because she chose a wig that she was told was dyable, and now they would not dye it? That makes zero sense. Then, the manager switched it to her being "harsh" in her requests. She was dismissive and clearly did not care about how she treated a customer. She refused to provide a refund. We left with the unwearable wig, $795, and made multiple trips to the store in hopes of finding a workable solution. They rudely refused. The manager and employees are deceitful, saying whatever will get them the sale, lying, switching stories, and giving customers the run-around. I am disgusted by the way they conduct business, especially as they are selling to people who really need an honest option and help. Please save yourself time, money, and energy, and do not purchase from them. In reading other reviews, we are not the only ones who they have taken advantage of. It's a shame this store is still in business. We have been to multiple other shops that are honest about their products, at Kim's Wig Botik - buyer beware. I am sickened at how they treated my friend--as if she was not going through enough. If this review keeps others from shopping there, then taking the time to share will be beneficial.

Fast forward to the next day and we went in to Kim's with a very discouraged 13 year-old who has already been through so much with this disease. We purchased the wig, and then they walked her through how to put on and remove it, went through products we would need to care for it and how to maintain it's beauty. I couldn't have wished for a better experience for a very frustrated teenager. Anna even hugged me before we left! 5 stars, all the way!

I can call down and if they're busy, no one can go look for anything, I can come down and search around, and hopefully they have what I want. Or... If I know exactly what I want, I jump on Amazon, look it up and order it. And let me be clear: I really am not a fan of Amazon. I think they're the devil.
