The cashier was super nice and helpful. Use your credit card because you gain points and earn stuff. I saw that I got a free Valentine's Day blanket for free. I spent over $100. Here's a breakdown of my experience: The consult: Emily reached out to schedule a consult call shortly after I submitted my inquiry. The consult call was informative and Emily answered all questions that I had. She was very personable and easy to talk to from the get go. And she really set the tone that this would be a very empowering experience for myself. Following the consult, Emily sent over a questionnaire to be completed prior to the shoot. I loved that the questionnaire gauged the level spicy I was comfortable with, asked about what I love about my body, and even about the things I wasn't fond of. The day of the shoot: call time was at 9 AM. I was greatly warmly and already loved the vibes Emily had set. Hair and makeup was done by Yana, who was as amazing as Emily. MK Boudoir also has a client closet that was very size inclusive! So if you're a plus size girly like myself, I promise you there's something in there for you before starting the shoot, I was given a mini modeling lesson. I was quite anxious going into it because I had never been the most confident girly. But Emily gave me a pep talk reminding me that this was going to be an empowering experience. Once we got the ball rolling, the anxiety went away almost instantly. She would hype me up throughout the shoot and just overall made it such a fun, healing experience. All to say this photoshoot was more than just a special gift to my fiancé. As someone who's struggled with body dysmorphia and an eating disorder, this experience taught me a lesson about self-love, acceptance, and empowerment. As an avid Amazon shopper, I immediately looked on the Amazon app for the same items, and most were at least $40 cheaper on Amazon. We pretty much decided right then and there that we were done shopping in that store. We're poor veterinary technicians living in Hawaii, no way would we fathom spending so much money on something as trivial as board shorts or a beach towel. I suppose the only reasons I didn't give this place one star is because the staff was friendly, everything was neatly organized, and they had a wide selection.
