From my initial meeting with Mackenzie, I felt right at home. After I signed the contract, I dealt with Nikki who was an absolute sweetheart and professional. She emailed and called in a timely manner and made revisions to my schedule 100 times with a smile on her face! Then of course there was Nela, my photographer. I cannot speak highly enough of Nela. Nela arrived Thursday evening and got right to work after getting off the plane. She walked around the property scouting locations and met with me to discuss her ideas. I was blown away by her tenacity and dedication to her craft. She was studying, taking notes- a true professional. Nela and I walked around the property for around an hour, discussing the plan for the wedding day. Her professionalism didn't end there. My now husband, Max, HATES taking pictures. I know most grooms say that but he truly is the exception. I warned Nela and I don't think she even believed how difficult he was going to be. Max refused to take getting ready photos, complained about the heat, was angry the sun was in his eyes- you name it, he complained about it. Nela handled Max's opposition with ease. She struck a balance between being firm while also making him feel comfortable. She instructed me on what I needed to do so that we could get the best possible photos. She was incredibly successful at getting great shots, despite a very difficult client- a testament to her professionalism and personality. Further more, Nela was an energizer bunny and ninja rolled into a petite frame. She was running around for 8 hours getting every shot, no matter the angle. Not just because he was a long time friend, though that was part of it, but because we honestly believed he's the best that we've seen out of the MANY different wedding photographers we've heard of and known. Pricing and Packages During our initial meeting, Albert gave us a breakdown of different packages he offered that varied by how many photographers and how many digital stills would be included at a particular price point. He also offered types of printed albums from his vendor that guarantees a certain shelf-life of photos without major degradation of paper quality over time. He had samples he showed us of PHENOMENAL quality books. The glossiness, the look, the feel, were all top notch and beautiful and were masterpieces of capturing special moments during their weddings. We chose to have another photographer per Albert's suggestion since one person can only be at one place at one time, so it's hard to expect just Albert to capture every moment. With his second photographer, Justin, who was the nicest guy in the world, he said he would be able to capture many more moments for us, which was definitely the case! Albert and Justin scoped out the area for us before our wedding so he'd know ahead of time where we should go to get some great couple and wedding party shots. He covered the whole gamut of group shots of the groomsmen, the bridesmaids, individual shots of the wedding party, family photos, our ceremony, and the reception. We finally just got our huge, gigundo, leather-bound, ridiculous photo album that will last something like 100 years because it's printed on special photo paper. I don't even fully understand it, but it's unbelievable and looks utterly stunning and amazing. With our package we purchased, Albert also gave us a lifetime online access to our photos to be reprinted at any time according to our leisure and also sent us digital copies by e-mail link to download hard copies of them to keep for ourselves too.
