Allen took his time and explained how to care for my Elm. He even did some minor trimming which made the tree look even better., Moon Valley will continue to beautify our yard with more planting once the irrigation and new sod project is complete. This is my favorite local nursery. They grow their own plants (unlike most nurseries that just buy…read moreplants from growers). Because of this, they have a much better selection and lower prices than other nurseries. They have tons of plants to choose from: annuals, perennials, ferns, vegetables, etc. and they come in all sizes (except for the plugs which they unfortunately won't let you buy). The employees (with the exception of one crabby lady in the first building) are very friendly and willing to help you find what you're looking for. This is my first stop for almost any plant I'm looking for. And if you're putting together containers, you've got to come here; they have much better and more interesting stuff than the other guys.

The truck they used to deliver the mulch had bald tires and ended up getting stuck, tearing up my front yard in the process. They left deep ruts and damage, with no effort made to fix or even acknowledge it. When I placed the order, I clearly told the manager the mulch needed to be delivered to the backyard -- at no point was I informed this couldn't be done. That should've been communicated from the start. To make matters worse, they didn't even bother to backfill the damage they caused. For a supervisor, Wilmer showed no consideration and had the worst attitude I've ever experienced from a service provider. Absolutely unacceptable. I would never recommend this company.

I brought home 2 plants and it cost a little over $60 which was ok for healthy plants but the plants at this shop are NOT so healthy and I won't be back. I wanted to love this shop. :( Now, I did notice the plants didn't look as healthy as I am personally used to seeing, all around the shop and the shop itself does not get much light. For background I've cared for a variety of plants for decades. That being said I do not recommend this shop as both of the plants I got are struggling despite more than adequate care, light, etc. I've had better plants from Trader Joe's.
