Everyone there is friendly. The old location had a full greenhouse of rare cactus, succulents, agave, aloe and euphorbia. When they first moved, they still had a real nice selection. Now however, the selection has dwindled down to almost nothing. I have a feeling by next year, it will be gone and the place will be just another Pike Nursery with goldfish...... read more

This place is so underrated for what it offers and where it is located. Today was my second visit to Randy's and I was amazed at the incredible variety and overall size of this seemingly small plant shop across from the old Central Gwinnett High School. Parking is a little iffy on the way in, traffic is just one way, but the employees are great about helping direct you in or out. Not to mention everyone is VERY FRIENDLY. I think I was greeted by every single employee I passed. Everyone was in such a pleasant mood and ready to help. Loved it! Randy's offers a WIDE variety of planty things- everything from outdoor shrubs, flowers, and fruit trees, to hanging baskets, cacti, and a massive quantity of greenhouse-housed indoor and outdoor plants. Tons of pots and planters. There is even a section with koi fish! Those suckers range from $200-$1000! Amazing. The overall layout is so well done. Half the location is sprawled outside, partially covered. The rest of the plants are housed in large, warm greenhouses. If you are looking for something specific- they will help you find it! Randy's is amazing. They have an incredible selection of all types of plants. They also have fish, and water plants for your garden ponds. It's such a peaceful place to go. I've substituted my target runs for this place and I'm not mad about it. Closed on Sundays though! (Which is fine, just sad about it.) Something I liked from this place was the fountains, ponds, and fish they sell. They are very reasonably priced too! I had a great experience here and happened to go in when all the pottery was 40% off. I ended up buying 4 or 5 pots. I love unique pots and they had several. I also had a really strange shaped pot I brought with me which I needed a plant for, Diane (I think that was her name) helped me to find some easy to care for plants that would work with the pot. I found the prices to be good for most items while a few seemed a bit high, but it was a nice balance of affordable plants. I will be stopping here more often and can't wait until the spring to see their collection. read more

This is a very diverse nursery, there are all sorts of unique plants and cacti. The prices were great, we went away with a very healthy pothos, and the staff helped us put in a special order for a hard to find plant we were looking for. Awesome experience! I had been to Randy's long time ago for a pond in previous house and i remember i had a good experience so of course i sought them out again for the new house. Pond in current house was green(ick) and the first guy i spoke with immediately got me to a pond expert ok... lol. And he was indeed an expert. Thankfully everything he suggested i had already purchased except for a uv filter which is way over my budget. When i'm ready to purchase or use someone else's wallet(hint the DH), ill be returning. I learned so much from Mr. Pond Expert. Much knowledge much wow! Then i needed some a plant for my sunroom. I have never owned a plant or flower and i'm not the outdoorsy or umm whatever kind but before i knew it, i walked out of there with a cart of 2 beautiful plants. This was 2 weeks ago and they're still alive!!! I was even able to revive the peace lily which they were rehabbing because they got 2 much sun so i got a good deal for it. Now the leaves are green. We looked up the house on google maps and used the compass to see the location of the sunroom and figured out where the sun sets etc. I have never received such amazing service. Lovely. Absolutely lovely. I am no gardener. But I had to purchase some sort of color for my home, and I was looking for some annuals. Randy's is a beautifully arranged nursery with many types of perennials, annuals, and other trees and plants that would eventually look lovely in my backyard. Their water garden is charming, as well as their arid plants and cacti section. I found what I was looking for, some tender lavendar that still has a bright color to it. After about a month and a half it has lost much of its fragrance but this is possibly due to its placement, which is in too sunny of a location. I plan to return to stock up on air plants and small cacti for a terrarium. This place is great. Lawrenceville is lucky to have it. read more

5 Star all the way! I give all the credit to Diana who was incredibly helpful. Rarely do my expectations get exceeded, but at Randy's they did. Randys selection of plants is awesome. At one mega store we visited first, they had nothing to pick in the category we needed for yard greenery, but we were pleasantly surprised by the great selection at this local spot. Sorry to say, but I wish there was a 2 and half star rating. We returned to Randy's after a 3 yr. absence in visits and were really bummed out. No more crazy bohemian plant freaky greenhouse on the left when you pull up. No more mesmerizing butterfly house....just not the same vibe. I will say, I was there to add to my koi collection and they did not disappoint! Same amazing selection with uncompromising quality, knowledgeable staff and real value! I guess they're going for a more mainstream garden center that does water gardens vibe. Still worth the nearly 45min. drive from our house for fish selection and pricing! read more

I've been on a nursery tangent the last few months because of my newly found green thumb. I've been to countless garden centers and nurseries in Atlanta and surrounding Atlanta but thus far this is my absolute favorite place yet. Every single person working here is extremely friendly and so helpful. I don't think I walked pass one person there that didn't greet me and asked if I needed help. I was able to bring my dogs with me and they were loved on by the staff immensely, making sure the fur babies had water and all. The selection here is huugggeeee. Oh did I mention they also sell a ton of different koi fish for your pond. Prices are reasonable, plants are healthy, and they also carry some unique ones. Already looking forward to seeing their inventory next spring. read more

Just around the corner from South Gwinnett high school, they have a wide selections of seasonal and specialty plants that you cannot get from other nurseries including shrubs, trees, flowers, vegetables, cacti, succulent, bonsai, palms, ferns, water plants, and more. They even have a fish section for outdoor water gardens and a large selection of dirt and fertilizers. The plants are consistently healthy and well cared for by their knowledgeable and helpful staff. Highly upset. I only came back up here to complain. Honestly not how I wanna spend my weekend. Purchased a tree yesterday, put it in one corner didnt like it there. So decided to move it to another corner. When I did so I noticed my white wall GREEN. Looked closely at the tree and it was painted. Infact the tree was completely yellow underneath the green paint. Went out to look at my truck and that green stuff was all over my truck. The paint washed right off the truck but the wall just smeared. So I talk to the guy running the place. All he could say is sorry I sprayed it right before I sold it to. All it is, is a retention so the pines dont fall... so I asked why is it a retention if it just so happen to be forrest green and the pines happen to be yellow..... never again read more
