Previous months before I had obtained a breast reduction surgery and was in immense pain. I also herniated one of my discs. Using marijuana was the only way I could find comfort during this time. I also had a Massachusetts medical marijuana card at that point. None of that mattered. They kicked me out after making me attend three classes prior to telling me. I had written and essay and declined precious time with my friends as I had schoolwork that proved not important anymore. With all of that I was sent home. They gave me less than a week before moving all of my stuff out. Coincidentally two of my grandparents suffered strokes that week and I had to help my family with that. There was no care and they threatened to throw away all my belongings. After emailing my frustration to the president of the campus there was no regard for my mental well being. Saint Anselm college was one of the worst two year experience of my life as well as a gigantic waste of money. They also refused me a 15,000 dollar refund after only being there for two weeks. I dislike every educator and staff member there. They would rather have coked and pilled out students with borderline alcoholic disease running around them a girl who was just trying to deal with her pain. If I could give zero stars I would. Besides separating boys and girls from each other, being able to count all the people of color on one hand, racist and homophobic monks this is not the place you want to waste your money on. I had reached out for mental health help as well as academic and was denied that as well. I only have one friend from this experience. The rest of it was a complete waste of time. From the amazing food (and workers) in the dining hall to the traditional Sunday mass in the Abbey Church--there is a place for everyone to call home on campus. The curriculum made me a more well-rounded human and made me appreciate my faith and friends more than ever. There are opportunities to get involved in everything on campus. I played four years of varsity lacrosse, studied in Italy my junior fall, was an orientation leader for two years, went on a WBA service trip, worked a campus job in the dining hall, and enjoyed hanging out with my friends on the weekends. Anyone who attends SAC will definitely make a mark on the world.

They let the parents know everything that is going on with the student ...if they're late, absent . If your child is out of school, they follow up and expect a reason. The kids are expected to behave, keep their noses clean and respect each other What I like about the school is that they prepare them for real world. They don't baby them My son was OSHA and "WORK READY" certified and will be going on COOP in a job in his field The only down side is the lack of resources for the kids in the form of guidance. I know the guidance counselors are trying but there are no programs in the Freshman year that guide, inspire and assist the students to think of college as a possibility -not on a grand scale anyway I was in constant contact regarding the COOP programs and they seem to be in a rut, relying on a few employers for the jobs instead of trying to get as many employers on board as possible to expose the kids to all kinds of work in their field My son has had to get me involved in order to get something done or nothing gets done at all. Core concepts were never taught but lots of photocopies of old textbooks were used as teaching materials and homework. This would explain why people used outside math teachers while their children were enrolled. In 1st grade we had 29 students and by 7th grade we had less than 10 and of the 10 only 5 were from the 1st grade class. They should be ashamed of themselves for charging what they did with the level of education being so low that back to basics was required to survive in another schools system. Keep in mind my daughter achieved high grades at HA and even made Honor Roll and High Honors. Yet, outside of here she was failing. Waste of 7 years of education and money. A NH teacher of the year has left as well so they could even keep a few of the gems that they had on staff.

To each their own, but here is my experience: The school is ran by teachers you'll never meet, and most if not all, seem to not be actual teachers with degrees but parents filling in to help, operated by a woman who will insult your child to your face while on the front steps of the school. They will give up on your child because of their inability to discipline or educate, that was made clear right away, when I was told they don't discipline. I was concerNed to hear this when the words came out of the woman's mouth (a few months back) but since meetings or proper discussions aren't a practice of theirs (always rushed with the door barely opened) I thought, this is a temporary babysitting space my daughter seems 2 enjoy, while we wait for our school of choice to have openings. Apparently my 4 year old took out her lunch instead of her snack so this means she has cognitive issues. Careful this place is dangerous, anyone who is NOT medically trained, who does not hold a degree in psychology or a phd, has NO RIGHT TO THROW MEDICAL LABLES ON YOUR CHILD because they simply claim to speak from experience. I have been a mother for 18 years, I am however not a trained professional in psychiatry, psychology, you won't see me labeling your child's physical or mental condition... Three kids, ranging from ages 18 to 4 and I have NEVER had a "teacher, school director" handle herself the way she did yesterday; this woman was seething with rage, like an old poodle! Throwing out a diagnosis of my child, while on the front steps of the school, a rushed conversation at pick up/drop off, while other parents are dropping off their kids... (Meeting like these are handled in a professional setting/manner in private, with supporting documents/notes to go over) & If you dare challenge the woman's un-educated diagnosis be prepared to get kicked off the property with the door slammed to your face while your child is still in the school! (don't worry I immediately removed my child from the erratic woman's grip, forcing myself back into the school, while this woman is screaming for the cops to be called, scaring the children, my child and Honestly everyone else)... As an expert parent however, having sent my three kids to several different schools over the years, what I can tell you with certainty is they have no idea how to educate children and clearly the tired director with twenty years experience should go on a leave of absence, she has no business being with small children. As for curriculum, the kids' daily activities are done on scrap paper, with writings on the back, looks like they tear paper out of old books or folders (not school related) and give to the kids to scribble On. Mind you it costs $255 a week. Your kids clothes and personal belongings will always be lost, misplaced or given to another child; we are out a sleeping bag, two pairs of shoes and at least 10 sweaters, I don't have the money to replace these items. When you ask for these items you will be told to wait phtisies, as you are never allowed in the school, for them to hand you over a bunch of items not one being your childs. Super shady. Back to my main point, they don't know how to discipline or teach toddlers, they will just tell you your child is the issue if your child is rambunctious, a toddler. Your 3 1/2, 4 year old child is the issue. Here's the kicker, they will not tell you anything to lead up to these claims or diagnosis. Over the last 8 months I was told twice (at pick up on these lovely front steps, with the door half open, her wretched head sticking out) that my child was a bit "tough" today... but that's it. So Let this sink in, you could be told your child has abnormal behaviors and these should be assessed, out of the blue, while standing on the front steps of this dump whole, with other parents around, and if you dare ask questions or offer tips or challenge the behavioral diagnosis, you will be kicked off the property, door slammed in your face... My daughter is now 4, she attends two other programs (gym and play group) and these two other businesses could not believe what was said by this woman about my typical 4 year old, shocked but mostly astonished as to how this was brought up to me. This school is a dump whole, and I am riddled with guilt for leaving my baby in their care over the last 8 months! I can't stress this enough, if it doesn't feel right, even though "it must be" and your child seems happy, pull your kid out or investigate.. do your due diligence. Because she's my third, I assumed she was ok even though the school didn't seem amazing or ideal, I ignored the little red flags. Shame on me. Shame on this school for being opened

UNH, DEMN Nursing Program…read more My best friend's experience as a graduate nursing student at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) Direct Entry Master of Science Nursing(DEMN) was deeply disappointing and marked by a pervasive sense of discrimination and unfair treatment. From the outset, she felt unsupported and singled out by the faculty, particularly in the Fundamentals of Nursing course. Despite her best efforts and a passing GPA, she was denied the help she needed to succeed and ultimately forced to withdraw from the program. This lack of support was not an isolated incident. Throughout her time at UNH, she witnessed a disturbing pattern of neglect and discouragement towards struggling students. Professors, like Deborah Simonton, the Director Of Nursing, and the Dean of Graduate School showed NO interest in helping students improve and instead encouraged them to quit. This created a hostile and unwelcoming environment, particularly for those without prior healthcare experience. Furthermore, she encountered numerous instances of discrimination outside the classroom. She was subjected to inappropriate and demeaning comments by staff members, and her concerns about her living conditions were repeatedly ignored. These experiences left her feeling isolated and devalued, and they contributed to a significant decline in her mental and emotional well-being. Overall, my best friend's time at UNH was a profoundly negative experience. The university's lack of support for struggling students, combined with a pervasive culture of discrimination, created a hostile and unwelcoming environment. I would strongly caution prospective students, particularly those from diverse backgrounds or without prior healthcare experience, against attending this institution. UNH's failure to uphold its stated values of diversity and inclusion is a serious issue that needs to be addressed.

The challenge to the University community is to search for truth through the dialogue between faith and reason." Which is complete and total BS! They go completely against their mission. Instead, because you have a rough semester they boot you from the program, someone who has been invested in his faith, and community, and spreading the message of Christ. It's okay, because another University can benefit from what I have to offer, and I will continue to do my good will and be sure to advise those I know to never consider Rivier as an option, for I'd be lying to them if I said it's a legitimate way to go. So sad to see where this University has gone, and the lack of care it has at seeing it's students excel, whether your a straight A or straight C student, you deserve an education, but clearly, this isn't the place for it.
