By far the PinkGun Gallery was the one of the best ones we have gone to in our careers. You need to visit!!! This little shop of wonders is magical!!! I'm so glad, for once, that I decided to follow an Instagram suggestion of The Pink Gun Gallery. At first I thought this was an account of Artsy/punk stuff but then started to notice posts of some real cool articles so I decided to pay them a visit (without an appointment.) It's mostly a vintage clothing, shoes, and accessory shop but because of the curated collection of so many eras it may as well be a gallery. I walk in and was speechless! I began in the area of the 1959-1960 clutches, 40's then the hats, 80's jackets, and so on... From high end designers to vintage brands. I was transported to so many movie fashions of Audrey H. and Brigette B. I did snag a pair of 1960's Kelly green Italian sandals, which I'll be wearing on New Years! Aside from being a regular mom/wife/counselor/knack of a little bit of everything... I enjoy retro/vintage furniture and clothing. read more

Update: The owner of this shop has updated his comment 8 times in the last 2 days at all hours of the day and night. His comment went from apologizing, to mentioning my backpack, to now stating they weren't open and I wouldn't check my bag. My "huge backpack" as he mentioned in one of his last few comments, is a Jansport mini half pint purse. Google it. It would be huge on a toddler. The bag was full - of the 4 things I purchased from Swish next door because they are bagless. The owner there complimented me on how cute it was. When I walked up to Pinkgun, it had a sign in the door window that stated "We Are Open, ring the bell." I rang the bell and at no point was I turned away or asked to check my mini backpack. Finally, after leaving his first set of 3 comments, the owner wrote himself a 5 star review. It was removed, and then a bunch of 5 star reviews all popped up. Do with that what you will. **************************************************** Pinkgun was a very unique small gallery/store I stopped into while in Miami. And the prices were honestly about 50% higher than they should have been. It was even more jarring after just leaving the fantastically priced and boho chic of Swish next door. I'd found the store on Yelp and was altogether not expecting a locked door and guided/watched shopping experience. I don't mind security (Recess in LA had a fantastic and dapper gentleman as a bouncer) but this space is quite small, and I likely wouldn't have bothered if I'd known. While I did see a couple items I loved, as an example of the pricing, one modern sack dress had a price tag of $130 for an unknown label. The dress was worth $80, used probably $60. It was beautiful, but priced to sit and stay awhile. And maybe have a few kids. Picture it. You live somewhere where you've purchased a brand new $1k Marchesa dress for $50. You've traveled the continental US (shoutout to Dallas, Utah, and Portland) shopping consignment. Are you going to pay $130 for a used no label sack dress? I love thrift shops and I was excited to find this place. I went with my mother in law in search of vintage pieces for a music video. A guy let us in and we made our way through the tiny and tight space until we reached the women's rack. It was packed. So packed we could barely see the items so we pulled out whatever caught our eye to have a better look at it. From the back another guy comes in, asks us what we're looking for and when I explained he responded that he rather find us options because he didn't like clients touching the clothes. I was shocked because he should only sell online if that's the case or have a sign stating this. Then he looked at my mother in law who had her purse and said "I also don't allow costumers to come in with bags because some people come here to steal". We couldn't believe how RUDE this guy was being. Then he said well you don't look like someone who's here to steal but we had heard enough from this arrogant, entitled being so we started to walk out of this tiny, cluttered hole. He kept on talking and saying that we should go to the salvation army. I've never been treated like this in a store. The service is Horrible and I honestly didn't see anything exciting or worth my time. I don't recommend it at all!!!! Just read your response and your petty arrogance comes through. First of all we didn't mess up three racks, that's a lie. I had an umbrella in my hand so I couldn't pull stuff, that's why my 70 year old mother in law pulled for me. Delicately!!! We were there no more than 5 minutes. And yeah it was a Real video and I did have a mood board but you never asked for it. Nice name dropping sir but honestly not impressed. I've worked and I know some of the biggest artists in the game and even some of the ones you mentioned so i'll make sure to let them know. Regardless being a big name shouldn't be a measure as to how you treat clients. Also when you told my mother in law she didn't have the face of someone who would steal, I wonder, who does?!? Because that's profiling!!!! Also you have many preferences and suggestions that you should simply post on a sign to avoid misunderstandings or tell the guy that let's people in to inform costumers. Omg ! This place is like a dream I once had, OR maybe a dream I want to have every night!! Seriously, it's a magical space with incredibly beautiful things everywhere you look. A cross between an art gallery and fabulous store I can SHOP. It's clear the owner has a fantastical point of view. Like walking into a Picasso and seeing auntie Mame siping A martini on the couch. Also there were some people there that made me think of Fellini! Ok so I did shop (how could I not take some thing home), well the prices were really reasonable for what they were. A lot of couture, some YSL ready to wear, lots of my taste. That mix of avant-garde, while still being sexy. I also really loved the owners pieces, but the weird mix gave me the whole range of my jam. I bought 2 dresses I'm living for (one of his) and a pair of shoes I haven't taken off in 2 weeks, since I left... Everyone in there was so nice and made me feel adventurous about what I could wear, and I couldn't be happier with what I got. But the entire experience was an adventure...
