On Monday march 30th I went to this location I was looking for an employee to help me and the employees I asked for helped ignored me and weren't of much assistance until an employee by the name of ALEXSA came out the back with an amazing aura and vibe and just had fabulous customer service! Also CARMEN in the men's section was very helpful. If it wasn't for these two employees I would have left the store. The prices were higher since my last visit and quality was lacking. Hopefully my next visit will be a better success and these two employees are there and the staff is as good and welcoming as them. read more

I am loving the Red, White and Blue Thrift on SR 7 in Hollywood, Fl. It outshines all other thrift stores. Their prices are reasonable and I can usually find something great. I have bought shoes, tops, jackets and lots of gently used toys. I just recently got a mini kitchen ($24.99) that is adorable and a loog guitar($7.99), and beautiful glasses.Everything I get is awesome. POLICE CALLED*** Disappointing Experience at This Location - Police Involvement I had an unsettling experience while shopping at this establishment. I arrived around 9:00 AM and was shopping without issue until approximately 10:15 AM, when I was unexpectedly approached by two police officers who requested my ID. I was told that there had been an allegation involving theft and physical contact with a security guard. However, when I asked for evidence, neither management nor the on-site security provided any video, audio, or documented proof of the alleged incident--despite initially claiming such evidence existed. I exercised my rights and declined to provide identification, as I had done nothing wrong. A police supervisor later arrived and confirmed that I was not required to hand over my ID and that I was not in violation of any law. Although I was asked to leave the premises by a manager, I complied respectfully. I was told I may be trespassed in the future, but I was not formally trespassed during this visit. I recorded the encounter for transparency. There is another Red, White & Blue thrift store in Hialeah (which is much bigger + more selections), but this one is more local for me. This is part of a chain of thrift stores that has 22 locations across the country including in Florida in Jacksonville, World Thrift in Lake Worth, and this location in North Miami. These stores are for profit thrift stores meaning they are not directly affiliated with any charity. They claim to help charities by purchasing items from them. They are also keeping items out of the landfills and offering low cost items to people who might not otherwise be able to afford them. The more I visit this chain of thrift stores, the more I love them They are huge, cheap, and have what I like. Everyone else likes them a lot too so the lines can be very long with the longest lines being in the Lake Worth Store. The line here was actually the shortest of all of the stores I have been in. Unlike Lake Lake Worth and Hialeah, they accept credit cards. This is perplexing. Why can't they all accept cards? Also unique to this store is a terrible parking situation. At least they have free parking which is a rarity in Miami but the lot is small and you get stuck if someone is waiting for a spot. I saw some people park across the street at the closed bank. One last thing of note, every few minutes on the loudspeaker they announce that you must not steal in both English and Spanish. I learned something new! How to say you better not shoplift in Spanish. The warning was constant. They must get stolen from a lot. At first I thought it was kind of funny and then it was really annoying. There is a sign that you have to let them hold your purse but no one hassled me about my small cross body bag. I like that they have a large housewares section. This time I picked up a piece of my grandmothers china pattern for 99 cents and a beautiful glass bowl with a vintage strawberry design for $3. They also have a large selection of clothes, shoes, accessories, books, toys, small appliances, and miscellaneous items. Just make sure whatever you want to buy has a price tag because they won't sell it if it does not. Also all sales are finally so check over everything really well. If you love the adventure of thrifting, you will want to add this chain of stores to your rotation. read more

I went to this store and about an hour for it. Let me start it by saying, they have AMAZING stock. This was one of the biggest thrift stores I've ever been to, and I found some amazing pieces with great prices. They also have a very big selection of toys, books and cds. HOWEVER, the line was crazy long. I'm not sure if it was the day I went, or just usually like that but I spent 2.5 hours in line and it wrapped around the whole store. RW&B is ridiculously expensive lately. The crowd is nuts but this has always been the case- it's not atypical of the Miami thrift scene. Tons of people shop to resell and everyone has a desire to find the gems - so be prepared to be in a sometimes hostile environment. My biggest issue is the high prices and rude employees at times. Granted they deal with a crowd that can bring the worst out of them but instead of being part of the solution they are part of the problem. I still brace the craziness a few times a month and have had some lucky finds- the pricing people don't always know what's really valuable and I've found incredible things for a buck or two. When you walk in here it seems like its the apocalypse and everyone is desperate to load their cart. Today we saw an employee get attacked by a group of people as she opened a box with a tea set. Management came over and broke it up. We all know this is kind of dirty, disgusting, (as some have said below) smelly place but many of us have gone there for years to find bargains. However lately it's become a little too much. I discovered it when I lived nearby and now I live in Boca and we drive down sometimes to hunt for bargains. It's a long drive so what happened yesterday bothers me more than usual. First my wife found a pocketbook that she wanted and didn't notice it didn't have a price. The cashier refused to sell it to her and didn't want to take the time to ask for the price. That same cashier gave her a whole lot of attitude, was extremely rude and then left a security alarm on a bag she did buy. Of course it didn't set off the alarm and so we didn't discover it until we got all the way home. Now I have to drive an hour there and bag because some angry employee couldn't take 5 extra seconds to do the job she is paid for. And well lately, this is exactly how this place is. Have plenty of patience, which you are going to need, not only to sort stuff out and find what you like, but patience also to deal with the crowds of people in the store. There are a lot of good deals to be found here from small furniture to vases and school uniforms. There is something for everyone here and the quality of the items are superb. I've never thrifted before this store. I've visited a few times and have been happy with everything I've bought. My fam and I went on a purse hunt while they were in town and we counted about 10 coach bags (yes, definitely the real deal...real leather). The prices were ok, but I was expecting it to be rock bottom (one tan leather coach bag was $40 but in excellent condition). The place is sort of a dump and in a less than stellar part of town but don't let that deter you! It's packed full of goodies if you're willing spend an hour or so and dig. It's usually packed so bring your patience with you. It took me a couple of visits to get the nerve to go through the clothing...some ok finds, but I really go for the purses, household items, books and jewelry. read more
