We first did my maternity shoot with Rita and I knew we were going to have a great time from our first phone conversation! She is so patient and considerate. Our wedding ceremony and reception was planned for March 21 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic abruptly shuttered everything on Oahu. So instead of the 200 person reception we planned, we postponed the reception with our extended family and friends to next year and opted to marry in an intimate ceremony with our immediate family instead. Throughout this whole craziness that unfolded in a matter of 2 days, Emily was extremely sympathetic. She was able to still come out for a mini session and capture our intimate ceremony. My little family and I had an amazing experience from start to finish with Ola Collective…read more As soon as my husband said he wanted to take our four-month-old and me to Hawaii before my maternity leave ended, I went to Instagram hunting for photographers. I found Ola, reached out, and was amazed at the quick response. Jorden was communicative; he responded to my emails within hours. I love that! I love the directions and guide sent to me prior to the shoot. We opted for a sunrise shoot on day two of our visit because a) we wanted to use my baby's jet lag to our advantage (he would be on California time and awake) and b) I wanted to get the shoot done before suntans/sunburns, etc. Another plus for me was that Ola is housed on the ground level of the Four Seasons and that's where we are staying. On the day of the shoot, Jorden met us at 6:30. He was on time and prepared. He took us to a private beach and got some great candids and posed shoots. He was so good with my four-month-old and didn't make us do any cheesy poses. Within an hour after the shoot, I had the proofs! I chose my photos and even though Jorden said turnaround time is one to two weeks, I got all the edited shots within 24 hours. AMAZING!
