After going through our fertility journey and having our successful IVF transfer we wanted to make sure to record this Little's one's life as much as possible! We first did my maternity shoot with Rita and I knew we were going to have a great time from our first phone conversation! She is so patient and considerate. I am plus size and it's not easy to find someone who is good at capturing larger bodies in a flattering way, RITA CAN!!! Which is so nice! I felt so comfortable and beautiful in my photos. We had a mini session with my daughter and it was one of those days that you want everything to go right but my baby was super grumpy at the very beginning .... She was hungry and tired and didn't want to meet new people. Rita was very patient and let me breastfeed my baby and we were talking story the whole time. We had planned to do an outdoor session for baby's first bday but covid restrictions at the time meant we couldn't go to any parks or beaches. I did my first review of Rita after my daughter's newborn session last April. We purchased a Watch Me Grow package and had our last session the end of March. This package was such an amazing purchase. Rita does an amazing job whether the shoot is in your home, at her studio, beach, etc. The memories she has captured of our daughter and family are stunning. For her 6month session we did a sunset shoot at the beach. All I remember is my daughter was SO crabby but the pictures Rita was able to capture you can't even tell. I would also like to note that Rita's love for photography shines through at each session. I love how natural everything is. I also love the fact that Rita makes you feel like family from the beginning. I really am sad our Watch Me Grow package has come to an end. So I finally got around to scheduling a session with Rita (I wanted to diet and lose weight first, but oh well, who knew how long that was gonna take...) and had some serious concerns... not that I even had a doubt that the photos were gonna be gorgeous, because I KNEW they'd be awesome, but I was already envisioning my family being a major pain in Rita's butt. My daughter, who wasn't quite 3 at the time, is tough to photograph. I warned Rita that my daughter doesn't like to smile on command and is pretty stubborn, but Rita welcomed the challenge head-on! Rita has done two very different kind of sessions for me, one was a "boudoir" private session that was a Valentines Day gift for my husband. Many months later she also has done our family photos with me, my husband, our son and 2 rambunctious pitbulls! Prior to the boudoir session, I had only met Rita one time so I was a little nervous about how this was going to go. I was also very uncomfortable in my own skin having just had a baby and not feeling the "sexiest!" However, her warmth, kindness and laughter put me at ease, and I must say, the photos were the most spectacular that have ever been taken of me. The angles, the light, the modest props, all made it perfect. These are gorgeous, tasteful and the best Valentines Day gift! When she came to our home to do our family photos, we had called her kind of short notice to come and do some photos because my husband was deploying. She came as soon as she could, and captured amazing images of our son, my husband and me and action shots of our dogs that are fantastic! She is tireless and a perfectionist, so if she doesn't get the color, angle or light she wants, she will shoot it until she does. And yet somehow, you feel at the end of the session that you've just been hanging out with a friend, not doing a photo shoot. The products she offers are all high quality. We were impressed with the canvases we ordered of our family photos and I got a keychain and photo pendant that I continuously get compliments on. My advice- if you want cheap pictures, take them yourself and print at Target. But if you are going to PAY someone to take photos, of anything- family, dogs, yourself, fashion- don't try anyone else. My family finally shot with Rita this summer and one thing I really regret is not having done it sooner!!
