Still, a fabulous place to go. Just took my baby--Toyota Camry--in for free check. They said I had 80% left on my brakes, after 5 years (yes, I drive only locally). Got an oil change for $95.00, tire rotation for $38, free inspection and recommendation for a brake fluid replacement in next 6 months. Nice waiting area, with TV, free coffee, clean bathroom. Love this place. Only open week days until 5 pm but they have a drop off box and free loaner cars. read more

I was beyond impressed by their service and the quality of their work is excellent. I had a car that wouldn't run and the first two shops that looked at it couldn't figure out what the problem was. I had it towed to their shop and after a couple hours digging into it, Tim the owner called me and gave me a very detailed description of what they found and why it was such an unusual problem. He spent 20 minutes on the phone with me, talked me through what would be involved to fix it, what the costs would be, and what my options were. He was able to locate one part for almost $1000 less than if they had gotten it from a local VW parts department. I gave him the go-ahead to do the work. Because my car was towed there, I hadn't even been to the shop or met the owner but I still felt extremely comfortable with Tim after all that time talking with him. I got a phone call a day or two later to let me know that they have a loaner car that I'd be able to use if I wanted to, and that was without my even asking about it! When I finally met him a couple weeks later when I went to pick up my car, I told him that I was looking forward to my friends having car problems just so I'd have the chance to recommend that they go to him :D And, yes, the engine is running perfectly again! read more

The owner Tim was very nice to deal with and provided great service on a heating system electronics repair. The dealership would have done a very complex replacement of the entire main control unit for over $1500 and Tim was able to diagnose a much easier fix of a single failed component. Clean facility, nice staff. Big plus is they do more than Mercedes-Benz, so do not get spooked by that on the website. Full BMW and full VW group cars. their oil changes and drastically cheaper than anything i have see, and cheaper than what i can do on my own. downside: the place is small and if you have a car that is low to the ground, their entrance is a little scary to get up. unless you drive a supercar, i think you will not have a problem. overall: 10/10. you cannot find a better shop in the southwest suburbs. read more

Having a great mechanic is priceless, and Pinnacle Automotive is as good as they get! Of all the mechanics I have taken cars to over the past 30 years, Steve at Pinnacle is the best. They have done great work on my Mercedes and Toyota, and I drive out from Chicago for their service. And one time when I was stuck going to a dealer, I had them call Pinnacle because the dealer didn't know what it was doing and Pinnacle had to tell the dealer how to fix my Mercedes. Hands down these guys are absolute pro's when it comes to Mercedes Benz. I knew about them from when they worked under the tutelage of Benz mechanic Drago on Ogden across from Laurel Mercedes. They moved to Woodridge years ago and still specialize in Benz but handle all German cars (they kept my Audi A6 in top shape). The most honest mechanics you can find, which these days is a complete rarity. No more inferior service from the dealers who returned my car in worse shape then when I brought it in. I've been going to Pinnacle since they opened and I cannot say enough positive things. I've primarily taken Mercedes and BMW's in, but they've also worked on a few other of my friends' cars which were American. They consistently go above and beyond any of my expectations - they've provided the "it may be time for you to get a new car" advice as well as the "this is what it's going to take to keep your car on the road for x more miles" advice. Steve and Clarissa are nice, honest people, which can be difficult to find in the car repair business. I found them 3 years ago when the air suspension on my car failed, a very expensive repair. Now, I drive out to Woodridge from Chicago whenever I need service or oil changes on my Mercedes (E500 with 200k miles).
