Opened a saving account with this bank only to have it closed by them as the  President of…read moreMarketing did not feel I was conducting "Normal" banking activities.  All my interactions involved cashing checks and/or exchanging new small denomination Federal Reserve Notes(Money) for which I usually(if not always) deposit half of the transaction value into my savings account and requested large denomination bills($100) be given as change for the remaining half of the transaction. Upon my last such transaction the President of Marketing asked me to come to his office where he proceeded to question my banking transactions with  all kinds of questions which to me seemed to imply that I was doing something that was wrong/illegal and apparently was definitely not to their liking.  Because I got upset at his line of questioning and my answers that he further would act on his implications that I was not doing "Normal" banking activities and would close my account.  He stated the bank could do this as they did not have to do business with anyone they did not want to do business with...reinforcing his implications that I was somehow an undesirable customer.

This bank is super convenient if you reside in Gretna, as there aren't any other branches close by…read more F&M has other branches, but they're in northeast Nebraska. All I do is keep a simple savings (Mad Money) account here, but I like the fact that it is within walking distance of my home, that the staff are friendly, and there is never a line to contend with in the lobby, drive-up ATM, or drive-up window. The neat thing about this little bank is that, in addition to online banking, they have an iPhone app.

They're quick and easy to work with. The staff is very consistent and some of the staff have been there more than 30 years so they know what they're doing and they love what they do. The new remodel in their old building is so beautiful but looks aren't everything. It's the whole package that makes the bank so awesome. I don't ever see the same teller twice, but they always make me feel like they've known me forever! They're always helpful because I always seem to have little issues, like creating an online account to not knowing my bank account number. I've gone inside the lobby and also through the drive through. Some people may think that it's less personal because you don't actually see a teller in a window, but you do end up seeing them on a little screen so it's just like they're right there! In fact, they make it seem like they're right there with you! The lobby is always clean and neat and welcoming! I really do enjoy coming here. The only problem for me is it's a little far and they only have a few locations.
