I should have taken the poor reviews of this company more seriously, especially the ones that mention Erik Mazur by name. This man is toxic and closed-minded. He flat out told me in my consultation, without doing testing himself or looking at my current testing from my OB, that because of my age I would never get pregnant. In the next breath he said that if I did get pregnant, I would miscarry. He refused to look at my blood work that shows I have the AMH level of someone in their 30's. I tried to show him the test and he turned his head away and said it "didn't matter" what my testing said, all that mattered was my age. He didn't ask my husband a single question but instead said to him that none of his testing mattered because "men can always get a young woman pregnant." He also mentioned "24 year old's" repeatedly - how they're young, and healthy, and can always get pregnant. It was extremely creepy, not to mention intensely unprofessional. His behavior was shocking, and his adamant refusal to acknowledge that a woman in her 40's can have a baby is wildly closed-minded. If you're looking for a professional who will listen to you and work with you, Erik Mazur is not the person to see. We transferred to Pinnacle with months of IVF-level preparation and all baseline testing completed (Clear HSG/Labs). We sought care specifically for a 50% pyriform morphology diagnosis. Despite the clinical evidence supporting microfluidic sperm separation for this diagnosis, Pinnacle (Dr. Mazur) refused to allow the use of the ZyMot Sperm Separation Device for an IUl cycle, stating it is 'reserved for IVF patients only. Withholding a $200 evidence-based tool from IUl patients to force them toward a $25,000 IVF pipeline is a predatory business model, not medical care. Furthermore, they attempted to charge a $300 'additional consult' just to discuss using the tool they already have in their lab. We have terminated care and voided our 3-cycle bundle. If you have male factor issues and want a clinic that uses modern technology at every stage of care, look elsewhere. Pinnacle appears more interested in protecting profit margins than optimizing IUl success. read more

I am beyond Thankful for SRM specifically to Dr. Eric Mazur and Alexa Skinner, RN! We started our IVF with them May 2023 and now I have our 4 month old baby girl! I can't thank them enough, without their help I wouldn't be having my baby right now which I didn't imagine that it could be possible with my age and infertility issue. Dr. Mazur is very straight forward, honest and don't sugar coat you! Our first conversation with him, he asked what our goals are in terms of conceiving, he ordered all the necessary blood tests, ultrasound etc and as soon as all the results came back, he discussed our care of plan. I love that he also asked my opinion which I am happy that our point of view aligns. I told him that I don't want to go through IUI and just want to go straight to IVF due to time and age. I appreciate that he trusts my own body capabilities to conceive using less medication to conceive which we did Natural cycle at first. it didn't work out and we went straight to the medicated cycle. September 2023 was my egg retrieval. I didn't expect that I will be having an embryo. Oct 2023 we got a call that we had 2 healthy embryos. January 2024 we did my embryo transfer. And 3rd week of January we got the great news that we are officially pregnant. Sept 2024 I gave birth to our beautiful and healthy baby girl. My entire experience with them was so smooth!!! Alexa was my nurse, she is the most compassionate, professional and friendly human being in medical world I have met! Our pharmacy is progyny and didn't encounter any problem with them. All my of my supplies are being delivered on a timely manner. Dr. Paul Lin did my egg retrieval. I have read bad review about him. Not every care provider will be sweet and friendly. In my experience Dr. Paul Lin look serious but you will feel he is concern not only with your fertility journey but the entirety of your health. My egg retrieval with him went really smoothly. The nurse who took care of me that day was Katie and she is the sweetest. She knew I was very nervous, so she always reassures me and attend to my every need. Lastly Dr. Nichole Barker did my Embryo transfer and I felt very safe. She showed us in the monitor every step of the transfer. Even all the nurses and MA in SRM Tacoma and Seattle location are very kind, compassionate and have the best bed side manners. I wish all hospitals and clinic treat all patients with genuine care like SRM. Me and my husband are so grateful for all their help. Horrible Billing Practices...I agree with the positive comments about the staff and the overall set up as a company that obviously knows how to make money. That being said, I stopped my plan to go there after the wishy washy way in which I was billed. I have full coverage for infertility testing diagnostics which you would assume an HSG is. They test it as a way to determine if there's a blockage issue, yes?? I had spoken w my insurance and verified I had coverage for this test. When I initially spoke w the financial counselor, she could not give me a straight answer only "each provider will bill for the exam a code which they feel is appropriate" I asked several different ways and the answer seemed the same. I would have to wait until I got the test and then see how it was billed/coded. Fast forward to my over $1000 bill for this test that my insurance declined because it was billed as FERTILITY diagnostic vs INFERTILITY. I had very frustrating phone conversations w SRM regarding this and one lady even said something like "well they didn't find anything so it was billed as fertility diagnostic" aside from keeping on repeating herself, I got the same answers. So am I clear that because you didn't FIND anything, you billed it in a manner you won't change so now my insurance (which I was sure would cover it) will not cover it? I work in the medical industry and in my 20 years, I have never heard of such a thing. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

She'd been going through IUI fertility treatments, with a pregnancy that ended up being ectopic. Being treated with Methotrexate, her HCG was coming down within about 5 weeks, then it started to increase. She made an appointment for evaluation, anxious and terrified and was excited to see Dr. Lin as he is supposedly is a specialist who would give her hope and encouragement. My daughter was very emotional and crying and he offered ZERO compassion towards her. despite the fact that he SHOULD be aware of this emotional journey, especially given the fact it was ectopic. My daughter asked questions, and he was annoyed, belittling and offered no support. His answer was always," I don't know, you haven't had surgery," (is he a salesman??). The final cry out for hope was when she asked if anything prevented her from getting pregnant again. His reply was , "NO.. but I'm concerned about another ectopic because this tells me your tubes are damaged." Well, how does he know when she "Hasn't had surgery yet"? I urge anyone to seek other providers within SRM and would not allow Dr. Lin to see my gerbil, let alone my daughter. I feel his demeanor, conduct and disrespect to patients needs a board review by his peers. He has absolutely no business whatsoever working in such a personal, emotional and at times devastating field where the only thing patients have at times is a glimmer of hope, in which he offers only despair. As an RN for twenty five years myself, knowing doctors all have different personalities and bedside manners, I can say without hesitancy, that Dr. Paul Lin maybe needs to pursue a job where human relation skills are not a factor. I'm really not happy with the experience so far at SRM! There has been significant lack of communication to the condescending staff. They prescribed me a more expensive medicine, without having discussed it with my doctor there, and it was triple the dosage and price from what I was supposed to get. I was not able to get medications from their recommended alto (pharmacy delivery service) because they don't deliver if the package includes a syringe (which is required for most infertility medications). I went to pick up a time sensitive medication at my pharmacy, Walgreens in Tacoma and they said they didn't have the order. The SRM employee I spoke to on the phone told at told me she sent my prescription to Walgreens in Tacoma. I specifically requested to have it sent to the Tacoma Walgreens. It turns out it was sent to my old pharmacy in Gig Harbor. Whoever I spoke to clearly lied to me. It feels like I was getting the run around and spending all this money for the last 2 years with nothing to show for it. We probably should have waited to do IUI treatment when the pretesting results were not ideal, yet we were still recommended to continue with the procedure by the nursing staff. Conflicting information between nursing staff and doctor during IUI procedure. I only met with my SRM doctor 2 or 3 times. It seems like SRM is doing what's the best for making money rather than having our best interest in mind as a patient. My husband and I found a fertility clinic in Arizona called New Direction Fertility. I am required to have a procedure done and can schedule while in Washington. They suggested going to SRM to have this done but when I asked SRM and this was their response: "ART cycle stands for Assisted Reproductive Technology cycle. This would be referring to either Frozen Embryo Transfers or In-Vitro Fertilizations. IUI cycles do not qualify as ART cycles. You would have to have failed a least one FET or IVF cycle with SRM to qualify as a technical patient and proceed with outside monitoring." I am shocked by the lack of quality care SRM has provided especially when we heard they were one of the best. I will never recommend anyone to go to SRM! read more

After my first consultation I already felt comfortable working with them and we came up with a game plan and had clear next steps of how we would move forward. So far, my experience with SRM Tacoma has been nothing short of amazing. Without going into too much personal detail, I can say that my husband and I had our first consultation with Dr. Mazur in February and we were extremely impressed. Dr. Mazur is extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and empathetic. He explained things clearly and never made us feel rushed. We were wildly impressed with the efficiency and flow our appointment; there was literally no greater than 5 minutes of wait time in between each segment of our appointment. We were ushered seamlessly from Dr. Mazur to the financial specialist, then to the lab for bloodwork, and finally to the nurse for further info/education. The experience was very organized and I felt confident knowing that my fertility journey was in the hands of such a "well-oiled machine." Fast forward to getting my eventual diagnosis and planning for IVF with Dr. Mazur and his fantastic nurse, Lexie. He spent a full hour explaining my diagnosis and the IVF process. No doctor has ever spent this much time with me. Lexie has been incredibly responsive and helpful through the online portal, and has made it infinitely clear that I'm never bothering her with my questions (and I have a lot of them!). Dr. Mazur and the team at SRM-Tacoma are the best group of people. I started the journey of starting a family November 2018. November 2019 my husband and I made the decision to see a specialist because it just wasn't happened. We tried 3 rounds of Femara and the Covid hit. After talking with Dr. Mazur we decided to take a break while we navigated the new normal. In July we decided it was time to go for IUI. Throughout the entire process Dr. Mazur was confident we would get pregnant. He never doubted it for a second. We did one round of IUI and we are so fortunate that it took. I would say probably a 4 star for most of the staff, but there is a black older lady (I think a medical assistant) that works at their Tacoma location and I have no idea how she still has a job there. HORRIBLE bed side manners. She mumbles when she talks and is not pleasant at all. Usually when she calls me to go into a room, she doesn't even walk with me and speeds up ahead. This is not one occasion, but every single time I encounter her. If you don't like your job, please just quit. You're working in a highly sensitive environment and should be welcoming. I wish they'd have a talk with her because I cannot be the only one who feels that way. read more

SRM is amazing, and I can't say enough about Dr. Dudley and our nurse, Cristina. We went through multiple IUIs, and eventually went to IVF. The staff was amazing and although scheduling with the front desk could be hard, we always were able to get what we needed with the help of our nurse. We did go to the Seattle location for major procedures or if I needed an appointment on weekends, and if was easy to find and get to. Financially, we were always prepared by Marty with what to expect. Right now, because of Dr. Dudley, I'm sitting here with my beautiful 10 day old baby. If I were reviewing my interactions with the nurses this would be a 5 star review - 6 if they would let me. Lexie has been patient with my MANY questions during our IUI attempts. She has always been quick to respond to emails and is not just professional but empathetic. My biggest problem is that it is near impossible to schedule procedures in Tacoma. More staff is needed so people don't have to drive to Seattle, especially when there are limited windows and work schedules to balance. Everyone is always so pleasant and considerate of the process. We are blessed to have good insurance that covers most of our procedures, but even so the financial person Marty was extremely helpful and professional as well. read more

I went into SRM for a consultation appointment today with Dr. Erik Mazur. The wait time to get in was better than most doctors offices. I did not get a good feeling from the doctor. He didn't take my input into anything. He said one thing to me and then told the nurse another. There are MANY hidden costs that were not mentioned until you go in for a $250 consultation! For that price, they should include a blood draw (at least). He quoted statistics that I and/or my sister have looked into before with his being lower numbers. When I went to see the nurse before seeing the financial person, there was a long wait at the end of which I was just given papers to read & a business card. Then I went to see the finance person (after the nurse said "you've already seen Marty"). I had some previous printed quotes with me, to which the finance person kept asking "how'd you get that?" I'd asked at the front office a few months before. The only people at SRM that were upfront were the front office people. read more

We had such a negative experience with this organization in regards to basic patient care and billing. My husband went in for an appointment in December and it took nearly a month for anyone to get back to us with results. We were never able to get in touch with the ASR's nurse( we were told she worked 8AM-noon) and then were told we'd need to wait another 3 weeks and be billed for the doctor himself to go over results. The nurse finally got back to us then told my husband she'd follow up with the doctor about a prescription. We waited 2 weeks and never heard from her. Their billing department is a mess as well as you'd think 5+ calls would result in at least 1 call back. For an organization that works so closely with people and charges exorbitant fees for it, you'd think they could atleast float a return call your way. In no way could I recommend them and will obviously be seeking help elsewhere. read more

Well, in the beginning I would give them 5 stars but as time went by I learned very soon that your not considered a patient but more a $$ sign. I will start off by stating my experience didn't get bad till we got knee deep in the IVF process. Here are the things that happened to turn my smile into a huge frown! 1. I was instructed to go to their Seattle branch as the Tacoma location is closed on the weekends. We were not told that there is no close parking & that you have to ring to get in. After finally finding a spot to park and ringing to get in we were late. I am called back only to be lectured about not coming late next time, then expects me to be relaxed during my ultrasound. I was very disturbed by this, if we weren't so far in the process I would of went elsewhere! 2. I started to feel odd. I looked up symptoms for being over stimulated & noticed that I have all of the symptoms. I contacted them & told them on my next visit that I thought I was being overstimulated. They checked my levels said they looked fine & reduced my medications. Obviously my levels weren't fine if they lowered my medication. About 2 days later I end up in the ER finding out that I was indeed overstimulated and that my lung was full of fluid, which is a symptom of being overstimulated. I had to have my lung drained, the ER doc contacted them to find out what she should do as she wanted to admit me. They instructed her to tell me to come straight to their Seattle location, which we did. They told the ER Doc that they were still going to go ahead with the implantation. We arrive and were told that my case was extremely rare, that they talked to several doctors and never heard of such a thing, and instructed me that I would not be able to have my implantation done. The doctor instructed me to see a pulmonary doctor as they felt that the fluid in my lung had nothing to do with being overstimulated. Then send me home after the ER doctor said they would most likely admit me in the hospital they use to monitor me! The pulmonary doctor confirmed that it was because I was overstimulated, and I have spoken to several women about their IVF process and almost everyone I had spoken to had their lung's filled with fluid as well. Proving that this is indeed not a a rare case. Now, because of this my eggs had to be frozen which puts them at a great risk now of not coming out correctly when they're defrosted. They also are billing me over $1000 to have them frozen and I don't feel that it is my responsibility to pay for their carelessness! 3. When we started this process we found out that our insurance would cover most of everything I was having done. The doctor even said that I had not met my limits & that probably everything would be covered. This was back in January 2012, we finally get a bill late November stating we owe over $3000. Almost a year later they finally bill us? They throw this bill at us and expect us to pay it within 10 days or they're going to take it to the collection agency. I don't find this fair. You can't expect to just throw a bill at someone & expect them to have the money right then and there after 8 months!!! Not to mention it's the holiday season. I can't believe w/everything that we have been through that they would threaten to send this bill to collections even after we told them that we were having it resubmitted as we felt that there was a imperfection in the bill. We also had made a $150 payment which apparently was not substantial to them. If they want to blemish my credit then I will take this a step further and contact my lawyer as a piece of paper I signed will not be valid on account of several reasons. I read bad reviews about their Seattle location, but I feel that this practice is accountable for both their Tacoma & Seattle location as I was seen at both and I had issues with both. I really liked my doctor so I gave them a chance. I feel like I made a HUGE mistake! We are currently pregnant (not by IVF) and I am a EXTREMELY high risk pregnancy. I can't deal with this UNNEEDED stress, and if I loose a chance to have a baby a second time around on the count of them I will be taking legal action. In this economy if u promise to make payments they still aren't happy & resort back to a paper I signed. I stopped going here in March. I had $3500 placed aside just for this. After 90 days went by we assumed we didn't owe anything & used the money to move across the country for a job. It has been 8 MONTHS, who would honestly think after 8 months they we would be billed. We already paid off 2 bills with them why would we assume there would be a 3rd? There was one for me and one for my husband!! Now there is a 3rd bill EIGHT months later? Irate beyond words! After speaking w/our insurance company all bills submitted are paid within 10 days not 8 months. They submitted the bill in late July when my last day of service was March 18th! They were paid in July, why are we getting a bill 3-4 months later? read more

I felt compelled to write a review because of the excellent care I have received since being a patient at the Tacoma SRM since Feb 2014. Dr Nichole Barker has been my doctor there the entire time, and has been fantastic. For the patients at the other locations, I think this is one of the best features of the Tacoma location that Dr Barker is the only physician so your continuity of care is far better. From the beginning, Dr Barker was aware that we wanted to go 'as natural' as possible - as in - not interested in IVF until the distant future if at all. I have read several reviews (mostly the other locations) that talk about how they feel they are just another number or dollar signs to SRM. I want to stress that my entire care has been covered by insurance other than some minor services, and they have made minimal if any profit off of me because of this fact. They knew from the beginning that I am not interested in their big money-making services like using egg donors or IVF, but I have still never have had better care from the staff and Dr Barker. I don't want to divulge much of my medical information, but I had a lot of problems/complications that had me calling the nurses frequently (my initial nurse left SRM recently, but since have had Lexi from the Seattle clinic) and a lot of visits for repeat ultrasounds and bloodwork. All of my calls were returned quickly, and I was always treated with respect and kindness, and taken seriously; never brushed off. I also had frequent email communication with Dr Barker and Lexi which was really great because they would always reply so quickly. On several occasions Dr Barker called me personally to give me information or answer my questions/concerns. While the Tacoma location is closed on the weekends, which is unfortunate if there is something urgent that needs to be addressed, there was an occasion where I was having an emergency on a Sunday. I called the main number, and the answering service got me connected immediately with one of the nurses at the Westlake office, who was able to speak directly with the physician (Dr Criniti), and was then able to get me into the office immediately to rectify the problem and hopefully avoid an ER visit. I am an ER nurse, and hoping that qualifies my statements a little, I have never had such amazing care. The front desk staff was aware that I would be arriving and got me right back to a room. Dr Criniti is fabulous; compassionate and truly cared about me. The visit to the Seattle location on Sunday saved me an ER visit and thousands of dollars. They kept me for a few hours after a procedure, gave me fluids and pain medication and observed me until she felt comfortable sending me home. Amanda was my nurse that day who was also extremely caring and compassionate. Dr Barker personally called me the next day to check on me and so did Lexi. I also had to have a surgical procedure a couple weeks after the Sunday visit at the Westlake office. Dr Davis was my doctor for the procedure, and all of the staff I had contact with were all great. I seriously had the best possible experience. Even though my Dr was not Dr Criniti that day, I received the sweetest email from her after my surgery wishing me well. Of course, nothing is perfect. However, I am not going to give fewer stars based on the fact that the front desk lady at the Tacoma office acts like she has no idea who I am each time I see her, or that some of the MA's have strange bedside manner. I also get irritated when I need to call for an appointment and have to hold for ages, or when I leave a message for a call back and don't get a call back. I wish there was a better way to call the office directly vs having to go through the call center, but it is what it is. I know that everyone has a different experience, and of course some of them being bad, however I will vouch for the exceptional care that SRM offers its patients. My husband and I consider ourselves privileged to be SRM patients but particularly thankful that our doctor has been Dr. Dudley. We agree wholeheartedly that not only is he the BEST doctor either of us have ever dealt with, but also that he is in the PERFECT profession for his personality, skills, and "bedside manner." Most couples dealing with fertility are apprehensive, emotional, and confused. Dr. Dudley met us exactly where we were, was patient, helpful, caring, and informative. This man knows what he is talking about, and gives diagnoses and information in a way that makes you feel like you are his only patients. He is patient, he explains and clarifies well, even going over the same topic several times until he is sure that we are understanding. He has made the most unpleasant and challenging time of our lives much more bearable. We have left his office every time feeling confident that we are in great hands and that there is hope for us and the future of our family! read more

Lots of hidden charges. For example, we had genetic testing done with Natera and SRM gave us a price for this, but didn't tell us that SRM also had a price additional to this to perform the Natera testing. They didn't know how much meds were when asked and often had me purchase meds that weren't used. At a time, I had about $2000.00 of unused meds in my fridge. SRM didn't seem to care about this. Even with Attain program, there were exams/labs the Dr performed that weren't told to us as "outside the IVF cycle" that weren't included. We did 3 rounds of IVF and would estimate 3-10k to have on hand for additional cost per cycle. This was very frustrating. read more

My (our) experience with SRM has been extremely positive. I would recommend SRM to anyone and feel confident they would give you all of the information needed to make the best decision for you personally. I have to say some of the reviews made me a little nervous to schedule an appt but I'm really glad I did. I never felt like a $$ sign like some of the reviews suggest. The staff are easy to talk to, professional and help you feel comfortable. Everything I was worried about in trying an IVF cycle, (e.g. shots, overstimulation etc) did not come to fruition and ended up not being a big deal. Dr. Dudley is great to work with. He is honest, knowledgeable and definitely cares about his patients and goals. Marty is extremely helpful as well. Jessie (RN) is always really prompt in answering e-mails/questions and have not had any issues with scheduling appointments. They always went above and beyond to work with my schedule. read more

I was told someone else's results. Although my DH's sperm quality is good they surprised us by adding ICSI to our package, which would have been an out of pocket charge of $4000. When I asked my nurse about removing it because my hub's sperm is up to the task she said she would have to check with my doctor first. Um..no. I'm not going to pay that, so remove it is what I felt like saying. Mostly I just felt like a cow there and not a human being at all. The staff there seems very busy and stressed. Right after having spoke with the doctor about some genetic testing and deciding it wasn't for us because of again a like $4000 out of pocket charge for it and that we are pretty young and healthy the med tech tried to draw blood for those specific tests. It was a good thing I asked her what she was drawing for. I told her we weren't doing those tests and she said, "well, let me check with your doctor". Like she didn't believe me. I backed out of IVF with this clinic and went else where. A place where they know my name. Actually recognize me. It's less expensive and the most important part, I trust them. So with out ICSI at our new clinic we got 25 out of 26 eggs fertilized. One fresh good embryo transferred and 8 good quality frozen. Now we wait! read more

I cant begin to say what SRM means to my family. After 4 years of trying to start a family, we finally decided to try IVF at SRM. We now have a healthy 5 month old baby boy! I honestly believe if it wasn't for the amazing doctors and support staff, we would not have our little man. Dr. Dudley at Seattle Reproductive Medicine is an outstanding physician! He is not only caring but also extremely knowledgeable. Dealing with miscarriage/fertility issues is very difficult for anyone but being under the care of someone you trust to do all they can to help is INVALUABLE! I honestly feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders since we have been to him. I know longer feel the pressure try to "figure it out" on my own. After trying to get pregnant nearly 3 years and seeing 2 different gynecologists and getting nowhere, I decided to see an actual fertility specialist. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place, and Dr. Barker. The first appointment was pretty standard but the nurses were so patient with all my requests and questions and beyond friendly. The doctor was very honest with us and so nice, I felt so welcomed. To my disbelief, I got a call the following day that I was already pregnant but they wanted to follow up with some blood tests to make sure my hcG levels were doubling as they needed. Went back 2x and both appointments were so fast, no issues. Always got call backs pretty early in the morning and again, answered all my questions. After I was in the clear, they scheduled my ultrasound which I went in for today. Again, everyone was so nice, the ultrasound went wonderful and she gave me OB recommendations because I wasn't sure which direction I wanted to go. Honestly, I wish I could continue my care here as it was such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend SRM without a doubt! read more
