    Waiting for blood work
    Nonda M.

I love to come here to get my blood drawn it usually doesn't take as long as it did today but I did go on my lunch hour and there was a little bit more people in there like about six but I was in and out of there within an hour everybody's always so nice

I went in to get my splints and stitches out from a rhinoplasty I had in Denver and I wish I can remember her last name but Dr Katie was so gentle I could see her aura right away it was beautiful she showed me more compassion and unconditional love healing self care energy then anyone in my whole nose surgery process she had such a great touch and she was very knowledgeable about All my questions I was so impressed and grateful for Dr Katie today and to thankful I got the Pleasure of being blessed by her today to finish off my nose job instructions with a huge sigh of relief no thanks to Dr Katie The compassionate one

I went there today for a common female issue. The staff was friendly and professional. Total time there was about an hour. I recommend.

As a result, I had to call back a second and third time. Both Lacy and Caitlyn were incredibly patient, caring, and friendly throughout the entire process. They took the time to answer all of my questions, provided the information I needed, and promptly submitted a new referral so I could be seen. Lacy and Caitlyn didn't stop there--they went above and beyond by providing additional resources and helping me explore other options. I truly appreciate their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help. Thank you both for making what could have been a frustrating experience much easier to navigate!

My family member was placed in an…read moreextremely cramped room with two elderly homeless patients from a shelter who were belligerent, fighting, screaming, and yelling at staff. One used a bedside commode only inches from her bed. The environment was chaotic, frightening, and completely lacking in privacy. After we requested a different room, she was left in a public family waiting room for more than three hours. Basic requests for water and assistance with painful, bloody IVs were repeatedly ignored. Nurse Camille was rude, confrontational, and dismissive of legitimate medical concerns. When we attempted to escalate those concerns, Charge Nurse Grace supported Camille rather than helping us obtain appropriate medical attention. Most disturbing, Grace repeatedly refused and physically blocked our attempts to speak with the House Supervisor. She told us, "He will not come down for this. He is going to follow my leadership." She also responded to our concerns with, "It is what it is." A charge nurse should help patients access the appropriate chain of command--not stand in the way of it. The lack of compassion, professionalism, privacy, and concern for patient safety on this medical-surgical floor was shocking.

I have a broken toe, which is why I initially made an appointment at the St.Mary's urgent care for tonight. They referred me to roc because I KNEW my toe was broken, so they felt like it was better for them to see me. Once I got back, the xray tech was amazing. He made me very comfortable, since my toe is purple and very sensitive, that mattered to me and I really appreciated it. Once I got back to the room, the dr (white lady, hair pulled back, no mask, quite an off-putting attitude immediately) was ready and confirmed that my toe was, indeed broken. Then she proceeded to give me ZERO options. Mind you, I worked 8 hours today, and have to work the next 2 days, on soft mats, required to wear closed toe shoes. She didn't seem to care at all. She said "oh man, yeah, money...amiright?" As if that was funny. Then she offered me a sandal type boot, that I cannot wear at work, after I already told her that I couldn't wear those. Then she said I should be wearing a "hiking boot" on my foot, with a broken toe. I don't have hiking boots, but even if I did, wearing my Air Max's today hurt because of the pressure on my broken Toe, I couldn't even imagine having a hiking boot on. THEN she told me to order a carbon fiber hard plate for my foot on AMAZON, and it'll "only take a couple days to get to you"....even though I told her I have to work on my feet for the next 2 days straight, at 4am. At this point, I'm very frustrated (but didn't show it). After nothing proactive was offered by this "dr", I was told that she would only write me a script for "some stronger anti-inflammatories". Kind if refusing to give me any pain medication, even though my toe is 100% broken and causing me 8/10 pain. Oh, and on top of that, she was the ONLY one in the office who wasn't wearing a mask, even though their own door stated that they're required. What a great leader. I'm so sick of this shit. So now I'm still in pain. I called cvs for whatever medication she sent in, and guess what....there's nothing for me. And now the roc clinic is closed and I work at 4am. What a really bad experience, with no results at all. I do not recommend this doctor at all.

It's takes a certain kind of person to be a nurse, doctor or EMT and Renown's medical staff earnestly seem to be very dedicated to providing excellent quality of care; they're so friendly, professional and wonderful bedside manner, I feel very at ease whenever I interact with them. As negative as the reason I had for going to the emergency, I had a pleasant and positive experience with Renown's staff. My mother only critique is when I had to go to the emergency, the emergency parking lot was full, so I had drive away and park to the nearest Renown parking structure, to the right of the emergency entrance and unfortunately there was construction at the main road too. Fortunately, I found a parking spot at the ground level but I had to walk all the way back to the emergency room entrance and according to the receptionist I asked the fastest way from the parking lot to the emergency room was just following the sidewalk path outside; had my condition been a really dire one, all that walking would've been really inconvenient. Maybe Renown would consider adding additional parking spaces by the emergency room entrance? That's my only suggestion/critique.

After triage we waited over 2 hours and still had not been taken to a room to be seen by a doctor. I asked the desk and explained his breathing is getting worse, especially with visitors coming in with over powering perfume and cologne. The person at the desk said they would update the charge nurse. Almost 45 minutes later still nothing so we left. In that time I saw people brought in by ambulance and were pushed into the waiting room to wait to be seen. Like really, isn't that the put of being brought in by an ambulance??? Absolutely horrific experience in the er and clearly there is no rush on getting anyone care. With all the money they spend on new facilities you would think they would have updated this er, it is lost in time and looks like it did 30 years ago. I hope Kaiser buys Renown out, then maybe we actually get doctors and better care. Also, my husband is still having issues and was never seen last night, and of course with your very apparent doctor shortage I can't even find a new doctor for him since his last one left.

They performed an initial EKG and then a blood test; after which, I was told to wait back in the waiting area. Three hours had passed, my co-worker who gave me a lift to the ER returned to work and I sat in the waiting area with a few other patients; there was a huge influx of patients that arrived after us which had needed more critical care. After, three hours, a triage nurse approached a group of us and re-took our vitals; at that point I was feeling better and had contemplated just leaving if I had driven myself to the ER. Eventually, the overflow of patients (including myself) were admitted to the Children's side of the ER. The ER doctor quickly checked in and determined there was nothing wrong with me since all my test results came back as "normal", and discharged me. The ER nurses were cool but my experience this visit was just alright. Having lived in Orange County, California for a time (where medical jobs are extremely competitive-- especially at hospitals like Kaiser where my mom and sisters-in-law have worked) I can say I have a high bar for medical care. My husband and I have had nothing but good experiences in Renown; we have always felt that our children have been well cared for within the Renown healthcare system (and no, that's not because the staff knows I have family in the medical field, I always keep that piece of information to myself-- though I will say having family in the field is extremely helpful for confirming if the interventions being taken are good ones!). Our most recent trip was for my 22 month old who was having trouble breathing (oxygen was immediately provided at the first ER off South Meadows followed by a treatment of DuoNeb). Our daughter still labored to breathe after interventions so they ended up transporting us to this location's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Overall, I highly recommend Renown.

I'm sure it could be from the infection if there is an infection in the belly button so it takes time for the antibiotics to kick in understandable but then when I got the results back from my CT from Northern Nevada, it does state that I have a small abdominal tear in the belly button area so I am furthering what to do with this situation but I was very pleased with Northern Nevada, and the staff that night the girls at the desk were very kind. The doctor was kind listen very carefully and immediately ordered a CT which I was very happy with after I explained what happened with St. Mary's during the early morning that day went home feeling a little better knowing that I wasn't going to die anytime soon, but the problem is still there, and I am looking to follow up with a gynecologist and a gastrologist for the pain in my stomach and lower right growing area overall they took care of business and were able to leave me in the direction. As we walk in first point of contact was front desk girl who looked so upset that we were walking in. I get it, sucks to work on a Saturday but if you are the first thing a patient sees as they are hurting maybe you should be a little more welcoming or compassionate. We got help by person sitting next to her who right away greeted us with a smile. My sister felt worst in Monday 5/12 so I took her back as she had said she felt like something had snapped in her knee and this time she was not able to put any weight on it. As soon as Sierra saw us she said and I quote" You were here Saturday, we aren't going to be able to do anything for your today" I work in healthcare and I would never just off the bat refuse service to anyone. Front desk staff should not be giving out medical advice! This girl didn't even let us get a word in before she even shut us down. And once again she had that annoyed/ mad expression. My sister asked for a doctor's note and she said " I can't provide that for you, the Dr. Has to do it" Sierra if you would of let us just speak you would understand we were not asking YOU for the note as you are not the provider that saw her or treated her! But since she obviously looks like she hates her job she ushered us out fast. We were able to get seen in the ER as my sister did dislocate her knee and from Saturday to Monday the situation changed!
