The rooms were motel-style, each freshly renovated, with a window view of the lake. Mine was clean and comfortable. I also enjoyed the walking trails around the camp. Gorgeous nature setting and trees galore. If it hadn't been raining I would have hiked all the trails. Bathrooms and showers super clean but designed by men. Hooks are more than 6 ft off ground. No benches or chairs. Water from shower runs out so do not put anything on floor!!

When I was just out of surgery needing transportation to my doctors, they were always on time. I was having severe difficulty getting into the vans and their drivers very gently picked me up and put me into the vans. They were always timely, courteous, and good drivers - and since I used to drive medical transport, I know what a good driver looks like. I still use them for local transportation as they are very reliable and cost competitive with the local cabs - which are not nearly as reliable even if you book ahead. I cannot say enough good things about Arkansas Journey Tours. They are the best.

I heard that the Little Rock High museum was a must see while there so I decided to check it out…read more The museum/visitor center is about a block away from Little Rock High, so it literally took a couple minutes to walk there. I'm not sure if they have a parking lot since u walked there, but it seems like they have plenty of street parking since I saw a lot of people parking on various sides of the museum. The museum itself was really interesting and even though it was small it was very informative and provided ample methods of learning the information, including videos, audio, timelines, and other information.

Visiting the Little Rock Central High National Historic Site was a must for me as I feel it's…read moreimportant to bear witness to history. In 1957, nine Black students integrated Central High. This integration was considered a test of Brown v. Board of Education that found that "separate but equal" was unconstitutional. The National Historic Site consists of the Visitor Center/Museum, Little Rock Central High School (which is still an operating school), the Commemorative Garden, the Magnolia Mobil Station (which served as an impromptu press base), and the Elizabeth Eckford Bus Bench. It is managed by the National Park Service. Admission is free and they allow photos. The museum is small and does not take very long to walk through, though it will take some time if you read all of the panels and watch the videos. They offer guided tours on certain days. If you're doing a self-guided tour, you cannot enter the school. Central High School is very beautiful. The architecture is a blend of Art Deco and Gothic Revival. Climbing the stairs was an extremely heavy feeling that I wasn't prepared for. As I ascended the stairs, I imagined what it would have felt like to walk through angry mobs just to go to school. It was honestly overwhelming and I don't know if I would have been able to endure such hatred and discrimination. I'm grateful to the Little Rock Nine for their courage, perseverance, and resiliance.

The area is quiet and serene with a back porch view of the woods. Jon, who manages the property made sure to communicate every aspect of our stay. He even greeted us when we checked into our villa. This campsite looks like it's in a "sketchy" part of town when you pull in, however the riverfront sites were a pleasant surprise. They were so scenic and pretty, and you could leave your front windshield uncovered because the views of the river were so pretty and private. It was really so nice!

Also, pay attention to the emails that they will send you a day before you arrive as GPS does not get you to this place with the easiest of streets, their directions are correct, follow them. All of the sites by the river were back in and they all had grassy areas in front of them. This would definitely be worth it to us as the pull through slots do not have enough space on either side to open your awning the entire way or have anything setting on the normal side.-you have to pretty much have your chairs and such sitting in front or behind your vehicle in order to enjoy the full space. It's not a problem- It's just the way the campground is laid out. There is a pet park and right next to it is the walking gate that will let you take the steps up to the walking bridge. That walking bridge will take you over to the Clinton presidential library as well as the Riverwalk district. Just take a right after you exit the gates and keep walking about a half a mile and there you are. They do have a wonderful view for the Fourth of July celebration. Take the time to go down to the pavilion as you will get the best views at this end of the park. We did a load of laundry today and everything worked as expected It was two dollars for a wash and two dollars for a dryer although I will say it didn't appear that there was any air-conditioning in the room. It was extremely hot in there. We did not use the bath or shower houses as we are completely self-contained. All utilities, work as expected. Staff was exceptionally friendly when we arrived. The gate has a code and they state they have cameras 24 seven on the property so we felt safe here. We paid $57 per night for a full hook up, paved pull through site and it was well worth it. There is a planet fitness about 3 1/2 miles from here that was very convenient. The walking bridge takes about 10 to 12 minutes to get over to the Riverview District and there are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and things to do over there as well We would definitely stay here again!

This is an all around travel management company that offers transportation, tours, wedding and event planning. Normally, they work with large groups that come into Little Rock for conventions, marathons or large events but Arkansas Destinations also offers small group bookings. They accommodated me--a solo traveler--by arranging an outing out to Hot Springs and back which included a small Little Rock historical tour. My tour guide was local travel agent Felicia Moore, who was very knowledgeable about the area and did a great tour. AD has a website that lists the many interesting tours they feature such as Garden Tours, Historic Homes, African-American History, Plantation Tours and Clinton Library excursions. AD goes out to Oaklawn Casino in Hot Springs, to wineries, Caverns and Passion Plays. They have a trolley they use for weddings, events & tours. They are an excellent hospitality company to utilize to enhance any visit to Little Rock with their stimulating offerings of fun, yet educational things to do. 5 YELP STARS.

The bus arrived with our guests in time (but later than the expected time) for the wedding, but the return service was not what we agreed upon. There were to be 3 return pick up times: 8:00, 9:00 and 10:00 pm. The bus left Cold Springs sometime after 8:30 and did not return until 10:00, leaving many of our guests stranded and waiting for the return ride (9:00) for over an hour. When it finally did arrive, the bus ended up overcrowded (people standing in the aisle) and the air conditioning did not work. Several guests commented that the bus swerved around the road and one guest politely asked the driver to stay on the right side of the road. One guest suggested that the driver was not comfortable driving such a larger vehicle. Fortunately, our guests were safely delivered to the hotel, but the ride was more than frightening for many of them. We were disappointed in this service, for which we paid over $1,000. We would not recommend them to future brides.
