To my surprise making the appointment online was incredibly easy and I was able to complete everything without any need to call and speak to anybody. That was awesome! I don't have a lot of time in my day to call and go through the endless back-and-forth of trying to find a date which works. Of course with any medical provider the equality of service is the most important piece. I felt as if the doctor took the time to understand my problem and to learn what activities I wanted to get back to that I wasn't able to. He suggested physical therapy exercises that I may not have tried before and quickly made a referral to get an MRI after I told him all of the different things I had tried before coming to see them. While no one wants to go see a doctor, if you do need to see a sports medicine doctor, this is the place to go.

The surgery I had here in 2018 somehow fell apart, so I needed it done again. If I had any…read morealternatives, I would be crazy to go back to this clinic - but since I don't, I went to them again. I already knew before I even got started that I needed surgery, but I still had to go through FIVE appointments just to get the surgery scheduled. This stretched out for well over a month, with me being in pain the whole time. Every time I needed an appointment, I had to call them, talk my way past a useless robot, and then get put on hold for an obscenely long time. Then at the office, they kept me waiting 30-60 minutes past my scheduled appointment time every time. Maybe your office wouldn't be so hopelessly swamped if you didn't force people to go through a ridiculous number of unnecessary appointments. When I finally got the surgery scheduled, I had to go to a hospital very far away in Oregon City, even though there are plenty of closer options, and communication on the day before the surgery was not as clear as it should have been. On the day of the procedure, I was forced to wait outside in the cold and then walk a long distance around the outside of the hospital, while starving, all because of blatantly wrong signage on the hospital. After the surgery, they referred me to physical therapy, who refused to take my insurance even though it is a division of the same company, forcing me to enter another round of phone tag and ultimately figure PT out on my own. They gave me a brace with pads that fall off way too easily, and told me that I was required to wear it everywhere at all times. Well surprise surprise, some of the pads got lost. When I called them to ask for help replacing the pads, they were unable to help, leaving metal digging directly into my skin. I ultimately had to remake the pads myself using supplies from a crafts store. They also failed to provide me with the crutches I needed, and I had to supply my own. I needed multiple doctor's notes for my work and for the Employment Office. Are you sitting down? ROC charges you $30 every time you need a note. My insurance already paid them over $60,000, but why miss yet another opportunity to nickel-and-dime patients and kick us when we are down? I think this is disgusting and greedy (although it is not illegal). ROC subjected me to every hassle they possibly can. This experience was extremely stressful, and the whole process could have been completed in just the time it took for the surgery to be scheduled.

Dr. Cole spent maybe 7 minutes with me. He recommended a brace and sent me to a durable medical equipment (DME) company. I was measured for a custom brace, but the DME company needed updated orders from Dr. Cole to bill my insurance. DME representative started working with an individual at ROC, then the communication went silent. Roughly a month later we learned that the ROC representative resigned and no one monitored her emails. Found a second person to talk to at ROC and they have now gone silent. Finally reached Dr. Cole's MA and he has now gone silent. Original appointment was in June. It's now August and we (me and DME company) still have not received a response from ROC or Dr. Coles office with a response to a very simple question. I still do not have my brace. This is beyond horrible. There are many good orthopedic alternatives.

After performing the exercises, the "therapist" had no information about what the problem might be and just advised me to come back to the gym. Following this non-productive visit, my insurance company was billed for hundreds of dollars of therapy services, and my bill for a single visit was over $100, and I still had no idea what the diagnosis was or how to address it.

As a patient seeking help for pain, communication matters. Before my appointment, I tried to confirm the details but did not receive a clear response by email, text, or phone. When a medical office is difficult to reach before you are even seen, that raises serious concerns about how responsive they will be once you are actually under their care. After receiving no confirmation, I contacted the office. When I did not receive a confirmation of the cancellation, I called a second time and left a voicemail message canceling my appointment a second time. Despite that, I was later billed as a "no show", which is unacceptable. If the office fails to respond, fails to properly confirm an appointment, and then fails to process a cancellation, the patient should not be penalized for that breakdown. I cannot speak to the doctor's medical care because I never made it that far. But I can speak to the office experience, and it was poor enough that I chose not to proceed. For anyone dealing with pain, the last thing you need is added stress, unclear communication, and billing issues before care has even begun. This experience left me with the impression that the practice is more focused on collecting fees than making patients feel heard, supported, and properly cared for.

I was referred to this clinic by my surgeon due to some post op nerve pain complications I was…read morehaving. It took about a month for me to get in so when I went in I was not even 2 months post op from my ankle surgery. I met with Jacob who is Dr. Ho's PA. After about 10 mins of telling him about the issues I've been having, I was told I had a rare pain disorder and then offered an array of options that could help with my nerve pain ranging from injections to a very invasive nerve stimulator that could be implanted after a trial period. The nerve stimulator was really being pushed and I felt overwhelmed the whole appointment because I wasn't even 2 months post op and I'm being told that I had this pain disorder and would need to get a nerve stimulator implanted if my symptoms didn't improve. Which again, I wasn't even 2 months post op. During this appt I did meet with Dr. Ho and he said that he agreed with Jacob on the plan, which was prescribe an anti inflammatory and order a lumbar MRI. when I asked the Dr. how long it could take to recover from this CRPS and he said, "it could not get better and last forever" and "sometimes PT can help like you're doing already"then was pushed on this nerve stimulator again by him. I was told to consider the injection and other treatment options they offered and that they would call me back when my MRI results came in. Fast forward to my MRI being done and scheduling another appt. It wouldn't be for another month. On 6/12/26, I called the clinic due to my sciatic pain getting worse and asked if I could make my appt for 6/24/26 to an injection appt instead since that was offered to me at my first appt. I was told that I had to have a follow up appt first before I booked an injection appt and that if I did an injection it would have to be on a different date. I shared my frustration of how I feel it's a waste of time and a co pay for me to just drive all the way out to Tigard to talk about an MRI and that since an injection was offered I don't understand why I can't just do that. I got nowhere with that conversation and was offered a virtual appt instead so I didn't have to waste time driving out to the clinic to go over my MRI results. I really tried to give this clinic a chance but it seems like they are just looking to string you along to get as many co pays from you and sell you on really expensive procedures and equipment. It's unethical and unprofessional. Needless to say, I will be cancelling my future appts and will be seeking a second opinion from another pain management clinic. Don't waste your time and do what's best for you, this clinic does not care about you. They just want your money.
