This week decided to "test drive" this new studio with a small tattoo of two intertwining hearts in honor of my 20th wedding anniversary. Jaesun was very polite and did not talk down to me. It was not busy but probably because it is relatively new. It was clean and everyone seemed happy to be working there. I explained to Jaesun what I wanted, he designed it and we were inking it, baby. I had an absolutely fantastic experience getting tattooed by Brian Hemming at GITM. This was not my…read morefirst tattoo but it was my first "custom" tattoo, where I wanted someone to design my idea for me, and I was pretty nervous about the whole process. I searched for a really long time before finding Brian's work, and I pretty much immediately knew that his artistic style was what I was looking for. I booked an online consultation with him and he was super friendly, easy to work with, and I could tell he actually cared about understanding my idea. He sent me some preliminary sketches and I requested a few modifications to his initial sketch which he was totally cool about. Again, I could tell he understood the idea I had in my head. When he sent me the final design, I was honestly blown away -- it was perfect. We booked an appointment and he did the tattoo in one session. We even had to make one last-minute adjustment which he accommodated with no problem. The whole experience was super comfortable and super professional -- really, it pretty much could not have gone any better. Brian was able to take an idea I had in my head and turn it into something real and authentic. I literally could not be happier with the tattoo and how it turned out. I adore Lily (the owner), Daniela, Dulce, and the rest of the beauty specialists and staff members who work there. Also, the work that they do there is so professional and, quite frankly, the results are completely phenomenal (and better than at ANY other spa I have EVER been to, including for eyebrow services (wax, shape and tint, & lamination) and eyelashes (including lash extensions and also eyelash "lift, curl and tint," which is MY personal favorite service for my eyelashes b/c Lily and Daniela make my eyelashes look long, dark like my hair, and simply stunning for up to 3 months, during which time I don't need to do anything to take care of them!) And don't even get me started on the FACIALS by DULCE and the MAKE-UP TATTOOING by LILY! Firstly, the facials are the best ones Mom and I have ever had. The "platinum facial" is my favorite. It is a hydrofacial with lymphatic drainage--it cleans the skin extremely deeply ( removing all dead skin), hydrates more than you could ever get with a regular facial, and includes a soft/gentle chemical peel to brighten the skin and remove dark spots. And best of all, this facial removes puffiness and swelling from the face! I could not believe how much less swollen my face was (after only the FIRST Platinum Facial with Dulce). First Lash also offers "express facials" if you're in a hurry, and yesterday I had a dermaplaning facial, which was wonderful! I looked and felt like a completely different woman than the one who had arrived at First Lash earlier that day. Lily did my eyebrows yesterday as usual. I had a "wax, shape and tint," AND Lily also did my eyelashes for me (a "lift, curl, and tint") & she did an absolutely INCREDIBLE JOB. And her room is such a beautiful and comfy space. She even covered me up with a cozy blanket when she saw that I was feeling cold. I did not do the tattoo-ing on my lips and eye-liner until I was 46 years old, and I wish I had done it sooner. It makes me look younger and more beautiful than ever. All of the services that First Lash provide are done so very professionally and to perfection. And since so few things in life are perfect, it amazes me at how "perfect" Lily (the owner) and her staff, especially Daniele and Dulce, make their customers LOOK and FEEL when they leave their doors to come home. I feel like a princess after my various treatments there! First Lash & Brows has a gorgeous waiting room, too! My husband commented on that just yesterday. They have water bottles, soda, etc. in the fridge, and snacks for you to nibble on, too, should you suddenly have a craving for that! First Lash & Brows also does men's facials. My husband James has had one with Dulce and loved it. In fact, he wants to have a facial again the next time we go there (in March!) Once you start going there for all of your skin care needs, you will never want to go anywhere else. I did a bit of research about microblading before I booked an appt with Shania at Boston…read moremicroblading. Although there was more reviews elsewhere, I felt like Boston microblading would be the best place for me to get my eyebrows done at. The reason being so is because other places had different types of services and not just specialized in one area. Their overall reviews were high, but partially due to other services that were rendered. I went through every store's Instagram photos, hoping to get a feel for what I want. It seems that Boston microblading was the best bet due to it's diversity of clients and it seems that the brows were drawn specifically to help bring out the features of the clients face. That's what I wanted. My first impression at Boston microblading was that this place was extremely grandiose, even though the place is small. The waiting area felt very relaxing and cute. The store is well designed, the place is very clean, and it felt very welcoming. I definitely did not feel out of place at all. Shania sat me down during my first visit and we talked about my brows. My eyebrows were done by an unprofessional a few years back, and it finally faded enough to do a new shape over it. She took pictures of my brows and showed me the leftover strokes from my previous work, pointing out that it wasn't done correctly and how it affected the way my face looked. Although it was a challenge for her, she explained to me what she could and couldn't do. She made me felt at ease and comfortable to go forward. She didn't treat it as if I was another customer and that she can do what ever she wants to get it over with. I definitely feel the professionalism, the passion to do this work, and how much she cares for her customers. She explained the process to me in a very pleasant manner, her sanitary process, etc. When it comes to shaping my brows, she drew my brows in with a pencil stroke by stroke, and asked if the shape was what I wanted before starting the whole process. As I laid down, she went over the steps and what I probably would feel during the process. She understands the discomfort of the process (could be some pain from blade/needle or from feeling a bit claustrophic) and told me in advance if I needed to take a break, just let her know. My experience with Shania was beyond amazing. I don't think I've ever had such great service in my life. Well it's definitely better than my previous experience. Once Shania was done, she had me sit up and double, triple, even quadruple check her work. Making sure there's no missing strokes, making sure the shape is even, and kept offering to have me look at the mirror to see if she's missing anything. She was such a perfectionist. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that. My brows were my life! The same day after my brows were done, the color was so dark I was a bit worried. So throughout the healing process, I kept in touch with her here and there, and she was happy to assure me that the shape and the color will be better after a few weeks and to trust the process. If there was anything that wasn't perfect, the touch up will definitely cover it. I did, and no doubt it turned out so pretty!!!!! I had so many compliments. My friends loved it so much that they booked an appt with her within the few weeks of my healing process. My touch up with her, I pointed out that I actually want a higher arch, and she was able to achieve that for me even though my previous work had made it difficult for her. She spent a lot of time perfecting my eyebrows for me and I can't thank her enough. I'm so happy that I picked this place. And I would definitely recommend this place 100x over.
