I am updating my review. I know it's been a few years since I first tried Pinos. It was delicious on our last visits this summer. I have a huge amount of respect for any small restaurant owner that survived the pandemic and is still in business after my review ten years ago. I was too harsh, and I apologize. Kudos to you Jim. July 2025 | Costly mistake... (Updated Aug. 2025, please continue to the bottom) Unfortunately, Pino's dropped the ball this year. We ordered a 28" half bacon, half pepperoni pizza--$51 base plus $10 topping, total $61. What arrived? Full pepperoni. Disappointing, especially since my wife can't eat it due to heartburn. We disputed the charge via Uber Eats. That said, the flavor and quality were outstanding. I enjoyed it on the beach, but it's hard to overlook a mistake that left my wife hungry. Pino's, please get it right next time... UPDATED: Jim, the owner, reached out immediately and took personal responsibility for the issue, proof of why this business thrives. As I write this, he's remaking our pizza from scratch and even gave us the choice of toppings. It'll be ready for pickup shortly. Jim, thank you for your professionalism and genuine care. Yelp placed them recommended over others in OCMD. Not true. Recommended for service-- quick to greet with a smile. This is pick up only unless you want the curb in the parking lot tables. Space is small and cramped. They don't answer phone so you must order thru 1/3 apps. Note: pick Slice with cheapest surcharge. Pizza was eh. Nothing special, sauce was eh, nothing special. Others said generous toppings, I disagree. The crust, meaning truly the crust was good but the crust under the pizza itself, soft and squishy. Lot of sauce. The wings are fatty and GMO big. Bite into them and get the wiggly, squishy, yellow under the skin. Don't worry about special requests-- they mark it, see it-- don't follow through. I asked for 'well done' wings. If that was well done, the regular fry time must be just at food safety minimum. Not returning, do or recommend. Go elsewhere to get better crust and flavor. read more

This pizza tasted like nothing, not a single ingredient had any flavor, it was almost amusing how bad this pizza was.

It was one of those vacation days that you're wiped out and hungry, but you don't feel like going out to eat. We decided on pizza. After reading reviews for a few places, we agreed on Pino's. And I'm so glad we did! This pizza was delicious. The crust was spot on and it had the right sauce to cheese to topping ratio. We got a 16 inch pepperoni and a 16 inch Pino's special (pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and green peppers). Admittedly a little pricey, but it was worth it. We were nursing a pretty bad hangover from the Oceans Calling festival and we wanted a pizza. Pinos caught my eye as a "safe" bet being from out of town. This exceeded my expectations. The pizza was ready in twenty minutes! When we went to pick it up they even included a bunch of extra condiments which was a really nice touch. The pizza was absolutely delicious. It was fresh and the sauce was just SO good. It actually tasted like fresh tomatoes. We got a pepperoni and it had a nice char on top which added a crispy texture. We thought we were just getting a "basic" pizza but they managed to make it delicious and with a true pizzeria flavor. We got it to go so I can't speak for the ambiance but we will definitely be back next year. read more

We were in town for Oceans Calling and on our final day and wanted something easy and opted for pizza. We are from the Buffalo NY area and are very particular about our pizza and we chose Pinos because of the reviews and it was not a chain pizzeria. The pizza was PERFECT! We got a 16" all mushroom half pepperoni pizza and the only thing we disagree with is that 2 people could eat a 16". Best Pizza we had outside of Buffalo by far!!! This is hands-down, the best pizza place in Ocean City. Pinos makes pizza to perfection. They were very generous with the toppings and the sauce. It was a nice heavy pizza with a nice crunchy crust. This. Is. The. Place! Okay, yes...it was on the expensive side, but no more so than the other surrounding pizza spots. I'm from NY, so I am genetically engineered to be a pizza snob. I have nothing bad to say about the pizza here. The crust was perfect- not too thin, not too thick. The sauce wasn't acidic, or sweet. Everything tasted fresh, not some freezer BS. After a long wait after a phone order, we arrived in the parking lot where we were told to wait 5 more minutes. After waiting those few minutes, they managed to give our pizza away to someone else, but not before they tried to play it off and say"only 10 more minutes". My husband Pete and I picked up a delicious Pizza tonight. The owner is doing an amazing job during these Covid times. There is a sign up sheet outside and then he works down the list bringing guests in one at a time to take their orders add then hand delivered each pizza to the customer outside. They even offered free bottles of water, hand sanitizer and places (spread out) to sit and wait for your turn/pizza. When the owner Jim hand delivered our pizza he told us all about the custom cheese bland and homemade sauce. I will attest that the sauce was the best I have ever had and the cheese incredible. My only negative is on myself. I wish I had reheated my pizza in the oven to attain that crispy crust. Outside seating to wait for delicious pizza and cheese bread (not pictured) with tables and chairs spaced out with hand sanitizer and wipes for tables. I felt very safe. We saw this place across the street from where we were staying. I looked it up and it was rated No.1 in OC............hmmmmm. Going to give it a try. I called and the individual said 15 minutes is that okay? I was like yes I am across the street and will walk over. He said he would have it ready in 10 minutes then! Small place, the owner is there active in the making of the pizzas. My pizza was pulled out and he said no, not done put it back in for 3 minutes. Attention to detail! When I got back here and opened it up my wife and I were really pleased with how it looked. I haven't seen pepperoni cups in years, the crust was super thin and it just looked like a New York Pie. The Pizza was delicious, the super thin crust held up well and was crisp. It tasted great, deserves No.1. Very very very good pizza. A bit pricey but this isn't Papa John's and is well worth the cost. You get what you pay for and we certainly got our money's worth. Try it. read more

The service was exceptional and you can tell they love what they do. I waited 30mins dogging the rain standing by their door just because of the distancing restrictions and it was worth the wait. 5 stars for service and pizza! We have a place in Fenwick and rarely get pizza down here, as frankly it all is pretty terrible. After visiting a brewery in Berlin, our toddler was screaming for pizza, and after doing a Yelp search of the area between Berlin and Fenwick, Pino's by far looked the most promising (thanks yelpers for the photos). It was ready within 10 minutes for pickup, the owner was super friendly and personable to my husband. While the place is small and take out/delivery only, don't pass it up! We will be going out of our way (and passing about 15 pizza places) in the future to come to Pino's from now on. read more

Pizza everywhere in OC in overpriced. Let's just get that out of the way to start, but this is the best pizza in OCMD as far as taste goes... I grew up on Dough Roller pizza, but have been let down by their consistency of quality in recent years. Including, since their addition of some "Pepperoni Extravaganza," or whatever they call it, which used to just be their pepperoni pizza. Just another way to milk $4 more out of tourists to skimp on a cheap topping. Then I remembered that place on 82nd that used to sell slices late at night, which were amazing! This was 15-20 years ago, staying with family on 87th. Pino's! That was it. Don't let this little strip mall storefront fool you, the pizza is good! If you're from the Baltimore Area and you're familiar with Pizza Johns in Essex (not Papa Johns) then this is the pie for you in OC. I recommend the pepperoni. They are the small ones that curl up and pool a little grease, just like Pizza Johns. The cheese is real and laid on thick, just like Pizza Johns, and the sauce is so darn close it crazy. The only difference is Pino's is slightly sweeter and doesn't have that slight red pepper flake bite that Pizza Johns does and the crust doesn't have that same hand kneaded love, but a solid pizza! Also, the lady at the register has the greatest people skills I have encountered in OC in years! Her customer service is top notch! Such a sweetheart! read more

We saw reviews on Yelp! And knew we needed to try it. We called at 5:00 (open time) and 5:15. The answering machine stated they weren't taking phone orders and may be low staffed. No issue with that. We drove the mile to try this pizza. We signed in outside along with one other person. The other person received theirs after waiting for some time. Again, no biggie. We were on beach time. We noticed a girl inside taking phone orders... we were a bit concerned as when we called we were under the impression they weren't taking phone orders... at this point we had been waiting 55 mins and we were the second on the list. I can't wait to go back to OC just to go to Pino's. My boyfriend and I were in town the other weekend. We had walked past pinos on the way to get Icecream. On family vacation and was referred from a Facebook post. Was off-season so only the owner was working but I've never been so impressed with customer service. Not only did he have our 28" pizza out to us in record time, while tending to other customers, but he hooked us up with napkins/plates and personally brought the pizza out to the car and loaded it for me. Aside from that the pizza itself was fantastic! Dough had a great chew and was crisp in all the best ways, sauce was very well seasoned AND the right amount.
