Hidden gem alert! Paul and Vinny's is always high on our list when we're in the area. They are welcoming and very dedicated to serving fresh, hot food. If I lived nearby, I'd probably be on a first name basis with the staff. They're all lovely!

Very thankful for Yelp assisting me in finding Paul and Vinny's. It's a cozy pizza spot at a small plaza. We went there maybe an hour before closing but they were happy to seat and feed us. I get the vibes this is more of a takeout spot, weren't too many tables inside which is a shame because the food here is terrific. My wife and I started with some garlic knots. Knots were small shaped, good amount of garlic on them and we really enjoyed the marinara to dip with. I would more call them garlic bites because of their size, they need to downsize the amount of oil they put in there, but it was tasty nonetheless. We also got a large pizza which we enjoyed the most. We got half cheese, half pepperoni. Great crisp on the pie, tangy sauce and reminded me of Vinny's pizza that is close to my home in Bridgeport. Anyhow, I'd like to think this is one of the better pizza spots in Berlin, hope to see them keep it going, will return one day.

Lunch special is a great reason to check this place out. It's $10 for two or these huge pieces and a drink. Crust is crispy and delicious. I was sitting there telling the person I'm with that I felt like I was in New York and then saw the picture of a building in nyc and it felt so appropriate with how good the food was.

Amazing pizza and one of the best cheesesteak we have ever had. I would highly recommend for anybody looking for great pizza to try this place. The service was great all the staff is friendly. Ambiance is just like any other pizza place.

The Turkey sub...look at that bread!

14 AUG 2024 The Italian sub that I got here on my second day in town was almost certainly the best sandwich I have had in 40 years! The fresh bread was excellent, just firm and crusty enough to contain the ample fillings. The meat was excellent, quite packed they did not skimp on a single item. It was well balanced though, sometimes there can be a bit much of one of the meats and it overpowers the bite. The first bite was really dripping all over (you must be sitting somewhere with napkins) and I thought that maybe there was too much "juice" but, Oh I of little faith, these artists know what they're doing, it was the exact right amount to get through this man filling sandwich. I got fries and as decent as they were that's a rookie mistake I would never make again they just get in the way of this incredible sandwich. It's a little too far away to come back for one, but if we lived anywhere east of the bridge I would be back for sure. 16 AUG 2024 (still in town for a conference) Came back to try something else, since it was a little later in the day, although I wanted another Italian, I chose discretion. If the Italian sub is the original delicious sin, and introduction to Paul & Vinny, the Turkey sub I got on this visit is the Redemption. It is still a serious man filling sub, don't take this thing lightly. However, it is a perfectly balanced, healthy mouth feel, tasty, clean sandwich. Same excellent bread, just enough fresh lettuce, tomato and a bit of mayo that is just right. I wanted to come back and take an Italian back to Fort Meade with me but needed to hit the road before they will open. I may need to figure out a "reason" to come back over here. This little place, this wonderful family of people who care about what they serving are the small business backbone of America, support them. You lucky folks who live in the area have a gem, cherish it. Your closest option could be an Army Base food court Subway!

Classic Italian and Turkey & cheese sub trays. Toppings on the side.

Equal parts package store and legendary deli counter, Anthony's is an iconic OCMD staple that has perfected the art of beach lunches. History & Ownership Year Opened: The original property traces back to right after WWII as a drive-up stand and fried chicken carryout. The family bought the business in 1965, gradually expanding to add wine in 1970 and merging the store concept in 1982. The Full Deli Debut: In 1987, Anthony's officially expanded into a full-scale deli, which quickly became as famous as its liquor selection. Ownership: Operated as a beloved family-owned business for over 55 years. Awards & Local Acclaim Anthony's frequently earns local accolades--including Best Subs and Best Carryout honors--thanks to its commitment to quality. Rather than skimping on fillings, they load their sandwiches with premium Boar's Head and Citterio meats, freshly sliced cheeses, and house-made salads. The Sandwiches & Fan Favorites Anthony's sandwiches are renowned for their staggering portions. The 12-inch hoagies are packed with over a half-pound of meat and cheese on freshly baked rolls. The Shrimper: A massive sub loaded with house-made Maryland-style shrimp salad, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. The Nautilus: A gourmet Italian sub layered with mortadella (with pistachio), prosciutto, sopressata, and provolone. House-Cooked Roast Beef: Tender, rare roast beef sliced thin--a staple that locals swear by. The Flagship: The Crown Jewel If you only order one sub on your trip, make it The Flagship. The Flagship Sub Over 1/2 lb of Genoa salami, capicola ham, pepper ham, and sharp provolone cheese. Shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, onions, and spicy hot peppers. Dressed with olive oil, red wine vinegar, and oregano on a 12" freshly baked hoagie roll. It's the quintessential Italian cold-cut sub--salty, tangy, slightly spicy, and sturdy enough to hold up in your beach cooler all afternoon. Pro Tip for Beachgoers When heading to the beach or driving back home, ask the deli staff to assemble your sandwich "semi-deconstructed" (with oil, vinegar, and tomatoes on the side). Your roll won't get soggy, making it taste just as fresh hours later.

The short rib sub was absolutely delicious served with Kettle chips. The meat was perfectly cooked and must have fallen off the bone before being put on the roll. The ribeye cheese steak was good with American cheese served with kettle chips. The ribeye was juicy and flavorful. I only wish the rib eye was sliced and not crumbled with more gooey cheese. Forgiveness because the short ribs were insanely good. I opted for a side of coleslaw (dixie style) however just a tad too sweet for my taste. They offered traditional bratwurst and kraut with mustard for Oktoberfest weekend. Definitely a must do in Berlin. They sell beer and wine. Customer Service: Hands down the best we experienced during our 9-day family trip to OCMD. Karri, our waitress, made us feel like family, loved her. Jeff & Mike were professional, friendly, and made a point to engage with every table. Breakfast? PHENOMENAL. Best we've had, not just this summer, but in all our years visiting OCMD. My wife and son agree. Everything was homemade and cooked to order. No frozen shortcuts. Portions were just right, flavors balanced beautifully, and nothing overly sweet. Nashville Hot Stuffed French Toast: The bourbon and caramelized apples stole the show. Chicken was a fun twist, though next time I'd get it on the side to keep the sweet and spicy separate. You can skip the chicken altogether and save $4 if you'd like. Banana Foster French Toast: Mind-blowing. The kind of dish that makes you question everything you've ever called "breakfast." Plate was licked clean. Already dreaming of it for summer 2026. Creamed Chipped Beef over Biscuits: Shared this one. Generous portion, nostalgic flavor, clearly a recipe passed down and perfected. Triple Decker: My son had the chocolate chip pancakes, huge portion, perfect texture, and he loved every bite. Only minor con: straws come unwrapped in your drink. Not a dealbreaker, but something to note. Final score: 25/25. Solid A+. Verdict: Highly recommended. We'll be back in summer 2026, no question.
