Worst experience of my life. First time buying a car on my own. Car salesman verbally explained the contract. Pointed out only the payments per month. This seemed accurate at the time. Was lied to about the price. Had the salesperson went over the document completely, I would have probably realized the price was over $12k more than he verbalized. Silly me didn't read the entire document since it was being explained to verbally, or so I thought. When I spoke to the finance person in person, he only cared about how the car was doing for me. Completely disregarding my issues and emotional distress. The sales manager listened. Explained that he would get to the bottom of things and call me the next day. Still haven't heard from him. Was attempting to purchase a car at Marietta pioneer easy credit auto. I was pre-approved and was expecting an answer by close of day yesterday October 16th. No one bothered to contact me to inform me that they would be closed today October 17th. Made a wasted trip from Clarksburg. The kid that took all my information didn't even give it to the manager. And this was 2:00 yesterday afternoon. I am in Marietta now. They are closed because they are being bought out by somebody else. My mom purchased a vehicle there in 2016 with an extended warranty. Vehicle is in excellent shape and well taken care of but the transmission failed. They refused to honor the extended warranty on a technicality, which is arguable. My father recently just passed away and mom is on a fixed income. They strung her along for a while letting her think they would take care of it. They even charged her for replacing some parts that were not needed. You will regret buying a vehicle from this establishment when it comes time for service or warranty issues. Take my advice and "steer clear". read more

They sent me a letter that they would give $3,000 over Kelley Blue Book. Called Pioneer Chevrolet and set up an appointment, they told me to go to the GMC dealer, when I got there they had no idea I had even called. The two people at the GMC dealership were helpful, but they would not give me the $3,000 over KBB and so I went here to figure out what was going on. Only one person in this dealership and he had no idea what was going on. They really shouldn't be sending out these letters if they don't plan to honor them. read more

Took my truck in for warranty work. When i picked it up it had grease smeared inside cab and out. The tailgate had been hit off something scratched to bare metal. When i asked about it they told me it was my fault it was backed into for not picking it up as soon as it was done. Now keep in mind this is a 2500 silverado. It was hit at the top of the tail gate near the plastic top cover. I would like to know how it was backed into at almost 5 feet off the ground. Will not be going back. Caused damage to a brand new truck and will not fix it. read more

Do not buy anything used from these guys. They sell at JD powers "clean" retail price but the trucks I looked at were anything but. I only test drove two trucks, both were in the 30k range. Had a check engine light come on, a dead battery, saw some DIY under coats which were covering up who knows what. If I'm going to pay top dollar for a vehicle I expect a vehicle that's in top notch. No warranties either. I might take a gamble with 5 or 6 grand but your out of your mind if you want me to pay 30k for something with no warranty AND a check engine light! read more

bought a Honda CRV at Pioneer Honda in Parkersburg. While we were there getting paperwork/financing done, I was looking online at their other used cars and saw a Jeep that I was interested in that was at Pioneer Chevrolet in Marietta. I told the salesman that I was interested in it and would like to trade in my truck (that was bought at Pioneer) and buy it. The douchbag sales manager in Marietta would not transfer it to Parkersburg so I could buy it. How is this good business? I was going to buy two vehicles in one day. I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH PIONEER AGAIN. The staff at Pioneer Honda were excellent. Marietta, not so much. I went the next day and purchased a jeep from Astorgs. I purchased a new Chevy Colorado from Pioneer Chevrolet. The purchase, with one minor problem, was excellent. Pioneer did not have what we were looking for in stock, they found what we wanted in North Carolina and by the next day, it was on the lot in Marietta. My wife and I had researched and knew what a fair price for my trade-in was, we decided on the number and was shocked that was the exact amount (and I mean exact) that was offered. There was no hassle on the price of the truck, we were able to come to a quick agreement and the deal was made. Rick, the salesman and Rod, the sales manager were very good to work with, they made the purchase a good experience. And that is saying a lot considering how many vehicles my wife and I have purchased over the decades. Aside from delivery of the vehicle, the entire sales experience was great. I was not happy when I showed up at 4:30pm (sales manager knowing full well I had to be gone from the dealership by 5:45pm no later) and it took almost two hours to do paperwork. The issue was the dealership had someone out sick in the title/loan department putting all the work on one lady. Having expressed by crunch for time the sales manager should have had this info ready for me to sign and/or told me ahead of time that they would not be able to get me in and out within my time constraint. I was consequently late to a meeting because of the dealership's lack of attention to detail and overall inefficient delivery process. The actual duration of signing the papers was quick (15min tops), it was the almost 1hr wait for the paperwork lady in title/loan that was un-necessary, un-professional, and disheartening. Again, things happen, but attention to detail would have been earmarking my paperwork to the head of any backlog due to my time constraint. The vehicle that was being titled in front of me was probably valued $20,000 less than the sale I just gave your dealership. I will definitely be less likely to immediately jump to doing business with Pioneer in the future if this is a recurring trend. This is my 2nd new car purchase from Pionner and my first somewhat negative experience with them. read more
