If I could I would give it zero stars. The pizza was not that good, glad I ordered an 11inch and shared it. I came with great expectations and service is good until they realized you're not enjoying their food, I made the mistake of ordering to dine in AND TO GO as soon as I finished the pizza( finished it felt bad to not eat it) I wanted to cancel the ones to go and NOPE she said they're already made can't take them back and after that her attitude went down, from a warm welcomed to side eyes and looks. Pizza, I find, is very personal. The pizza here is good. It's not what you may expect however in terms of the dough; the dough is fresh, but pretty straight forward. When I get it, I take it home and brush the crust with olive oil, garlic salt and grated fresh parm. If they did that there for me, I'd eat it there instead of getting it to go. Makes a big difference. I love going here for other things; the grilled cheese and tomato basil soup are my thing. I order it every time I go. My friend had the calzone, and she loved it. Also the Broccoli and Cheddar soup, really good. Excellent pricing, too. I love the down home country feel. I go there as often as I can. read more

This was our first time ordering pizza here. We ordered a large pizza and salad to go. This was the worst pizza we've ever eaten. My wife and I each tried it and threw it away. It was so bad, we made a Red Baron frozen pizza to eat for dinner. Strongly don't suggest ordering pizza here. read more

Love. This. Place. Hadn't been here in so long but it was just as good as we remembered. We had a works pizza and a couple of dinner salads with the incredible creamy Italian dressing. Best pizza in Gentry (only pizza in Gentry!). They also have salads, pasta, sandwiches, soups and wings. Most of the sandwiches are made using pizza topping (yup, the goodies are all chopped up). Soup and wings are pre-fab, packaged stuff. Pasta and meatballs seem like they're nuked. They do baked potatoes too. The decor is rat race car and they have model cars lined up around and around the place. I suggest that you avoid the BBQ meat - way over sauced and way to salty! The chili (with beans - ok, I'm a chili purist and don't think chili should have beans) is also not something I'd recommend. However, the pizza is pretty good (I think the crust is better on the larger sizes - the personal 6" size is a little too thick). The Reuben sandwich is pretty good. And the baked taters are a little small but well cooked (don't you hate undercooked potatoes!?!?)! Love the cheese sticks! You may have to ask for the marinara sauce to dip them in. So, to sum it all up - solid small town, dependably average food. I wouldn't drive far to eat here - but the prices are pretty good and the food is several steps up from Sonic & McDonalds. read more

I absolutely adore Pioneer Pizza. It's a small, locally-owned, non-chain pizza place in Gentry comma Arkansas. They hand make their own pizza crust, and I think they put magic dust in their pizza sauce - it's amazing. I usually get the lunch combo, which is a small personal sized one topping pizza and a salad for less than $8. The wait staff is super friendly and very pleasant to talk to about the goings on in Gentry and NWA. The interior decor is race-car themed, and very unique. I not only enjoy the food and wait staff, but the regulars that are always in there add spice and a familiar feeling to a local eat place. I've ordered take out from them several times as well, and I've never had to wait once I got there to pick it up. I have chosen this establishment many times over the others in Gentry just because of their friendliness and quick service. But the pizza - the pizza is outstanding! read more

I've eaten here only a couple times. The food was great. It's not a chain restaurant so you get something unique. The pizza is really good. I ordered cheesy bread or something and I can't remember exactly what it was, but it was cheese on wonder bread or something weird like that. Seemed like it was an after thought. That part was not the best. Overall though, I would really recommend trying the place if you want a pizza that's great and something you can't get elsewhere. Overall the atmosphere is a little funny too. Weird trinkets that the owner probably has collected their whole life adorn the walls. Kinda fun if you're into the quirky. Service wasn't the best, but if you know that going into it, it's fine. I'm an adventure person, so I think this is a great find for anyone looking for something different. read more

I find the other reviews to be very rude and untrue. I may be only speaking for my family and myself (which i'm pretty sure i'm not, in that, i'm pretty sure i'm speaking for many, many others in saying that Pioneer Pizza is THE BEST PIZZA RESTAURANT NOT ONLY IN GENTRY BUT, IN THE GENTRY, SILOAM SPRINGS, hell who am I kidding, why lie and be dishonest?? I've eaten at Pioneer Pizza for years. I love their pizza, but it is unique in the current "fast food pizza" world. You'll either love it or hate it, I've found. That being said, I have had some of the worst "chef" salads here the past several times I ordered one. They used to be chock full of ham and diced cheese, extra veggies, and of course club crackers. Your basic club/chef salad, but it was so good and fresh. However, the past three or four I've gotten have had barely 2 tablespoons of ham, this one I'm looking at now has maybe 1/2 teaspoon of cheese (literaly less than ten tiny 1/8 inch pieces of cheese. ONE package of crackers. What? There is also one cucumber slice, a quarter tomato, and 2 baby carrots. I was charged $9.99! Needless to say I won't be returning for salads, and they used to be a great lunch option. I could have purchased the ingredients to make 5 salads for $9.99, and they all would have been better than what I'm looking at right now. read more
