Pioneer Road Park - Parks Near Me - Tustin, California

Small park in the neighborhood but it's a cute park with a pioneer theme. They also have a small basketball court, a volleyball court, a playground and a splash zone (currently not open due to the cold) and a little trail. I like they have a huge shaded area with bbq that people can use for parties. Parking is small, so I took off 1 star. read more

It is nice quiet cute little park. You can walk around. Play with kids in western theme playground or have a picnic with few friends for a good chat and happy lunch. read more

Clean park. Had enough to do for my 10 and 6 year old for about an hour. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't too crowded.

Nice to visit a park for ages above toddler. My 5 yr old grandson loved being able to run in a large, marked area, play hide & seek with others and use a slide that's longer than his legs lol read more

Quaint little park in the heart of Tustin Aptly called Pioneer Road park, has a lovely rustic theme to it with 3 pioneer wagons There is a large play structure with mainly climbing equipment and 2 tunnel slides. Better suited for older kids. There wasn't much for a tot There is however a water play area which was off when we went but it looked like a simple but fun area. There is also a little trail around the park as an option if the playground is busy. Parking lot with free parking right in front of the park. read more

Such a cute little park! The play sets are shaped like wagons. There's also a water play area it seems... though I'm not sure how the water is turned on. Maybe during summer by the city? There was a volleyball net on the grass and a basketball half court. Other than that it's a pretty small but so not really good for walking your dog or anything like that. Such a cute and fun place to take the kids. Plenty of tables to take lunch and eat either in the shade or out in the sunshine.

Solid park in the area has clean bathrooms and lots to see and do in a great area. Jungle gyms, swings, basketball court, fields etc. Been coming here for years. read more

Great splash pad, all enclosed AND SHADED! Only giving 3 stars because of tiny parking lot and playground geared towards older kids. It's so high and open. My 2 yr old climbed up the big climbing wall to the top and I had to pull her off screaming. It was just way too high and open. A kids could fall off and get seriously injured Aviation. read more

The park itself was clean and large, but there are limited parking spots in the lot. I suppose as long as the Salvation Army church lot is open on the other side of the park, then you have ample parking. Unfortunately when we went, there was tagging on the playground on quite a bit of things (the horses head, the restroom outside wall). read more

This is my favorite park near me. It has a huge field for sport games and also many playgrounds for various ages. My daughter is 2 and she has so much fun on all the play sets! There is also an outdoor gym which I never realized was such a great addition until now when all the indoor gyms are shut down. The playgrounds are well kept and have always been very clean when we have visited. The park did used to get crazy crowded on weekends but now it's not very busy. A small downside to this park is that there are no lights around the playgrounds so during the winter when it is pretty much dark outside when school ends you can't really go to this park. read more

Super different then other parks, its old western theme and its a lot more creative then other parks. Kids love it

My kids love this park! The playground provides fun for a range of ages with great activities for climbing and sliding. There are plenty of swings, with also a hand court for basketball and a volleyball net nearby. I especially like how there are clean bathrooms available for us. There is also a shaded area with (4 or 6) cemented benches that would be a perfect area to host birthday parties. read more

Safe, well maintenanced, clean restrooms ( with soap and seat covers ) , beautiful greenery, two cool playsets, swings , wagons that are for climbing and exploring, half court basketball , volley ball net , lots of seating benches , shade, one gazebo , and a walking / hiking path around perimeter. Easily my favorite near me and in OC because my kids have so to do and so much fun and I feel safe and it's never crowded and always has nice families . Plus It's near lots of other nice parks including peters canyon. read more

Literally, a hidden gem! Secluded, clean, and has some pretty awesome amenities! This is one of my favorite parks in OC. Came here on one occasion for a birthday party and it felt like we had the entire park all to ourselves. The water feature was such a popular amenity with the kids (water shuts off at 4pm) while the basketball court was a hit with the big guys. I like that their jungle themed playground is huge with a mini zip line that even adults can play with. Their swings are ample (2 for toddlers and 6 for the older kids/adults). The covered wagons are pretty cool, too. Great for photo ops! Our second visit to this park was over the weekend. The weather was nice so we decided to hang out there with the kids. There were two other families while we were there. One was having a picnic on their grassy section while the other family was taking pics by the wagons. I love that it's not crowded even on a nice day. The covered picnic area is great for parties and can be rented for a fee. There are several picnic tables (with no shade) all over the park and lots of concrete seating available. We finally found the perfect venue for our daughter's birthday in the summer and we are nothing but excited! Restroom facilities, check! Parking, check! read more

Fun park with beautiful paths and a water feature! There's ample parking as well as areas for you to sit. Bring a book and relax!

What a cute little park. They have a splash pad that you can turn on when you go. I couldn't see any information about whether it is turned off at the mains when it isn't season. Unfortunately the water doesn't drain anywhere properly and all runs off on to the pavement and down into the car park. It seems a waste, especially as it's in a drought prone area. Very wasteful. The park itself is cute. AS usual, there are two areas - one bigger and one smaller. They are not shaded. There are infant swings and big swings. There is a large shaded pavillion with 4 big picnic tables and one big BBQ. Unfortunately there isn't a clear view of the play area because they put trees in between it and the pavillion. There's a volleyball area and a small basketball half court. There are also toilets with a changing facility in the women's. read more

Beautiful Park!! Love it for so many reasons! 1. It's off the beaten path. You need to drive a bit down a residential street to find it. 2. Gorgeous yellow flowers in bloom! 3. Play area is well maintained. Monkey bars are lower for smaller kids. 4. Covered wagon themed play area is awesome. 5. Covered picnic area is cool and shady. Lots of stone and concrete. 6. Water cannon and fountain area is FUN FUN FUN! 7. Lots of swings available. No siblings fighting over them! 8. Plenty of parking. 9. Lots of trees. Makes you feel like you're somewhere in the country. 10. My nephew loved it! And he's a playground connoisseur!! Please add this park to the list of "must visit's" This summer. Pack your little one's swimsuits and let them go crazy in the fountain area. There are 3 water cannons to play with, which randomly alternate in water pressure. My nephew had a screaming good time!! Do note: Bring some band-aids and antibiotic creme juuuuust in case they run and bite the dust in the water area. Unfortunately, its not equipped with the foam flooring, rather hard concrete. My nephew remained standing, but I can see accidents happening if they're running around in there long enough. read more

I found this park on here, and was surprised how wonderful it is. The whole park is Pioneer themed with Chuck wagons, a large playground with 2 huge slides, and a water splash area too! You don't see too many parks with splash zones. The water gets shut off by 4 so plan ahead. read more

This park so far is the BEST I have had come across in all of OC. Every structure here is cute and has this South Western theme to it. There are wagons, splash pad, grassy area with picnic tables and covered picnic area with a giant chimney. The place felt cozy with picnic tables surrounded by giant rocks. Everything is nearby yet not crowded. Neat! Definitely will book this place for any events except that it is bit of a drive to get here. ~sighs~ Parking is tight and not sure if they have street parking. read more

My 2 year old twins love this park the best. It's got all the best features like long high slides, ricky bridge, climbing stuff, swings, and water play area. The 2 downers is parking (park at the salvation army) and that the entire play area isn't shaded. read more

This is one of my TOP favorite parks in Tustin. The summer water play is our favorite. There isn't any paper towels in the bathroom and it can get hot during summer. But it's such a cute, well kept up park! read more

I wanted to check out Pioneer Park based on some other Yelp reviews. This is a very nice little park that appears to be underused. We were the only family there most of the time my boys were playing. The park has four climbing activity centers dressed up like covered wagons in addition to two traditional style jungle gyms. There is a pretty big covered picnic area. There is also a water play area that was not turned on the day we went. We will come back. read more

I love it here! It's such a beautiful & peaceful place to be. The playground area with Wagons were different from regular parks. They have a little walking trail to just ponder. Parking is kind of tight but I went on a Sunday around 2p.m and there was a few parking spots open. I'm definitely going back on a beautiful sunny day. read more

I agree with Rachelle M. This park is way cool. Its best feature is definitely the water play area. I noticed one area that was very cool that Rachelle did not mention was the very well covered picnic area. This is a great park for a party. There are many tables throughout the park surrounding the individual play areas, but it seemed that none of them provided any shade. I also agree that the parking situation is pretty lousy, but if you park in the Salvation Army Parking lot just above the playground, there are steps that lead down to the park. read more

This is a great park. Came for the first time and they have the best of both worlds. A playground area, swings, covered wagon jungle gyms,- and a splash pad. The park is clean and they have bathrooms along with covered picnic area. Only thing I wish they did have was umbrellas at the tables where the splash pad is . When it's sunny there isn't much shade unless you stand by the trees at the water area. Definitely coming back. Lots of fun . read more

Went to this park yesterday for a MOMS Club outing and the kids absolutely loved it! They had a blast in the water play area and we only had time to enjoy the regular playground for about 15 minutes. We arrived at around 11:00 and I wasn't surprised that there were no more parking spots left, after reading the reviews on Yelp. Parked in the parking lot up the hill a tiny bit and walked back down. It was only a two-minute walk down to the play area. Not bad! This park has no shade, though, except for the little picnic area. However, you can't watch the kids play in the water from there. So my ears got sunburned. read more
