STAY AWAY, ATROCIOUS WORK. This company is overpriced and they have no integrity. They were the highest estimate I got, by double. I made the mistake of hiring them only because of the name recognition and year warranty, along with their own, fake, made up ratings. They were ineffective upon hiring them and when I called back a few months later with the same problem they did not fix, they sent back same shotty subcontractors AND STILL DID NOT repair my roof. I would have had to pay a lawyer to fight them in court to get back my $7K. I paid another roofer 1/3 the price and the problem was fixed in one visit. We paid Pioneer roofing, approximately 88,000 to provide a new roof. What we got was a contractor -within two years we had two leaks. The first was minor and was fixed pretty promptly. The second the company failed to acknowledge and said was debris on the roof. They claimed they would come out and seal the roof and never did so. Within a couple months, I realized the whole wall in the bedroom below the leaky roof was caving in. It had gotten so wet from the bad roof job that I had to take out the wall. Pioneer did come and fix it - it took them three months to do so and they never offered to pay for the interior damage. When they came to repair the roof, Pioneer 's, Roofer said that the job that was done was Jenkee, and that paper was never laid in the area where the leak was. Pioneer is supposed to be one of the best roofers in Miami. I don't know where you go from here, but if you're getting a contractors work, and they don't stand behind the damage, why use them as they are the most expensive. read more

I first called Pioneer to check on some questions about facia boards showing water damage. They told me it was not the roof, but the gutter. Other roof companies were ready to tear 3 rows of my tile roof off to fix this problem. I knew I had an honest roof company and was able to fix this problem ourselves with some calk. 1 year later, when my insurance required a roof inspection, I called Pioneer and Mike Saifman came to do the inspection. He did a great job and found some cracked tiles and a flat roof that was at the limit in age for insurance but no leaks. We used Pioneer to do the repairs and also got our flat roofs re-sealed which added several years life expectancy. Overall, everyone I interacted with at Pioneer was professional, knowledgeable and reliable in their work, communication and follow-up. I highly recommend them! and feel grateful to have found a reliable roof company! read more

Jimmy Cefalo announces these guys like the best thing after melted butter. We are closing on a home that needs a roof however, since we haven't closed on it yet we would have to pay these guys a $350 estimate fee (Because we don't own the home yet) The current owners are ok with companies going out and checking the roof. We advised the lady, we have 2 bids and were looking for quality and people that have been in business a long time not so much the price. This and every other explanation provided to Pioneer waste no avail. So, if we want an estimate it's $350 (which will be credited if we do the job with them) I have never heard of such malarkey in my life. Poor business practice! Hey Jimmy, advertise this or at least mention it as a disclaimer. I guess, no one else here has encountered this. So, wait until you close on the home and then call them not 1 week prior. SMH! Beware! I chose Pioneer Roofing after one year of researching and six different estimates from other companies. The owner Nathan Dapeer is a sly one. He gives a low price for a new roof, then adds extras on the final bill which is hard to dispute because of an ambiguous 9 page contract that even the most diligent consumer can't dispute because of all the loopholes in the 9 pages! My final bill was $2,777 (12% higher) over the agreed and signed price! He price gouged the permit at $1060.00 (not included in the total price of the roof). So I called Dade County Building department to find out the cost and they said Pioneer paid $210 for the permit on my property. I was shocked to see the $1060 exorbitant permit price on my final bill. When I asked Nathan Dapeer for a breakdown and why it was so expensive he said "permits aren't cheap!" and never gave me a breakdown. He charged me $700 extra for a piece of L flashing which was supposed to included and $390 for re-nailing which the supervisor said I didn't need. I was never made aware of these extra charges until the final bill arrived. I DO NOT recommend this company! read more

Do not use this company!!!! Just saw their ad in the Herald stating they deliver the highest quality service. Nothing could be farther from the truth. We had a leak in our roof. The salesman who came to our home presented a detailed repair plan for over 5000 dollars. Based on reviews, we hired them. They never did the work!!!! Instead of removing the damaged roof area, they sent 2 men who basically sat in their truck or under a tree for the 3 days spent at our home. Finally, the two men went up to the roof with a bucket and did who knows what! They then billed us for the full amount. We know the work wasn't done since we saw only the two men and the bucket on our security cameras. No materials brought in or other repair tools. Nevertheless, they insisted on full payment!!! When Icalled and asked when they were returning to work, they said they were done. We were unable to receive any documentation of materials used. This area was left blank on the final invoice. They refused to adjust the invoice!!! We finally had to get an attorney to settle with them. They continued to insist on full payment even though the owner saw the camera clips of their workers doing nothing except going up to the roof with a bucket and then testing it with a hose. It cost us several thousand dollars for work never done just to settle. We had to hire another contractor to actually do the work. Maybe the reviews from 2-3 years ago were good-but right now this company is the worst. Stay away!!!! read more

I called on Feb 20/2018 to make an appointment for a tile roof estimate, Linda answer the phone and took all my information and told ne that Bill will be calling me. Bill called me and make an appointment for Thursday Feb 22/ 2018 between 8 and 10 am. He was there around 8:30AM took the measurements and gave my son a booklet with the different types of tiles and told him that I was going to get an e-mail with the proposal estimated, I called today Monday Feb 26/2018 around 8:30am a gentleman answer the phone and told me that bill was across the street and will call me, he did and I explain to him that I was still waiting for the estimated and he told me that I was going to get it either by e-mail or regular mail, is 3:00 pm and I still have not received the e-mail, apparently they have more work that they can handle. Called up on a Monday and asked for an estimate on a flat roof that needed repair/replaced. Was told someone would come out and give me an estimate, told them I worked during the week and gave permission while I was not home. The lady that answered must have been having a bad day, was like I was bothering her. A few days later I got an email with the estimate, nothing about damage just an estimate to do flat and main roof, complete. the cost was 13.9K, my house is around 1200 Sq foot gable roof, the main roof seems to be in good condition. Was amazed at high cost and no information about what i asked for, totally disappointed. ended up calling J and K roofing, they came out same day, gave me a price for just the flat roof and said main roof in good shape. Just wanted to say I had a great experience with Pioneer, just got a new roof installed (tiles) - I was the last one on my block to replace it (homes built in early 90's), my neighbors on both sides gave glowing reviews (and they also gave the names of the other roofing companies they spoke to, I called them all), and I saw some recent ads for Pioneer so decided to give them a call - service was outstanding, everything was clearly explained, price quote was consistent with the other companies I spoke with, and most importantly they delivered on what was promised (and on time!) - the new roof looks amazing, I would definitely recommend this company - thanks Pioneer! read more

We interviewed tons of roofers to get a quote on our house and kept hearing conflicting opinions on whether we should repair or replace the roof. One company's "estimate" was literally a one line item and a huge price tag! On the recommendation of several friends we chose Pioneer, and I am so happy we did. They came out, throughly explained the job and although it was a little more money than other estimates, it was money well spent. They did a great job and I'm glad I finally made the investment so I won't have to worry about any issues coming up (which we've had in the past with other companies that don't make quality a focus). I had a similar experience to the one noted previously. Based on referral from Jimmy on WIOD, gave them a call. Although woman who called was not rude, she wasn't a stand out on customer service either. Pretty much stated if you want an estimate, you have to pay over $300. I have used other roofing services before (D'Agostino Roofers, Chase, Paul Bange etc) and have never been charged for them to come out and provide an estimate. Needless to say, I called D'Agostino and they are coming out tomorrow to provide an estimate for roof repair. Pioneer roofing is going to lose many opportunities to earn customers with this "pay for an estimate" policy. read more

Although WIOD had announced them stating they gave like most other companies free estimates.
