I came to Pioneer Trailer after this business was recommended by another local business when I was looking for a professional installer to fit my 2025 Ford Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid with a RoadMaster Baseplate and wiring components so I could flat-tow my vehicle behind my MotorCoach. I knew I needed a very highly skill team to do the installation since this is not only a safety concern but also involves working on a new vehicle with some fairly innovative features that allows it to be flat towed. After meeting with Sidney the owner and his wife I knew I had found the expertise I was hoping for, Sidney looked over all the components I purchased directly from RoadMaster and we scheduled the installation. Sidney and Harrison his installer have completed this type of installation many times but with Ford's refresh on this new Maverick for 2025 there were some unique challenges and of course some concerns on my part being I wanted a very clean and non-destructive installation. Well the installation was completed in one day and after meeting with the folks at Pioneer Trailer it's no surprise to me that their outstanding reputation was earned and a business that I will turn to for any of my towing needs going forward, I highly recommend visiting this locally owned business. I took my trailer (with the boat on it) to Pioneer Trailer with the hopes that they could replace my axle in the next week. They had it ready for me by noon the same day! They also replaced a broken tail light for me. They are very personable, affordable and super fast! I will gladly drive an hour to have them service my trailer every time it needs it in the future. I was sent to Pioneer by the New Smyrna Beach U-Haul dealer when his test light showed there was no power to my car's wiring harness. Sidney and his son quickly diagnosed the problem--poor work performed by another U-Haul dealer in MD who installed the hitch and trailer wiring. I arrived at about 1:45 PM on a Saturday afternoon, and though Pioneer normally closes at 2:00 PM Sidney worked on my problem for over an hour and solved my problem for a reasonable charge. Purchased an RV from them that they had on consignment. Sold our travel trailer and a van through them great place got the price we wanted and no hassle of people calling low balling, not showing up, or trying to find things wrong that weren't a problem in the first place. I took my truck here to get a 5th wheel hitch installed recently and was very pleased with the work the guys did. Other places were all over the place with the quotes, citing the air bags on the truck potentially causing problems. Pioneer staff was very knowledgeable, and installed the hitch and rails way quicker and cheaper than expected. Install was clean and professional. Couldn't have been more happy. TO: Owner - Pioneer Trailer I want to express my appreciation to Sidney for taking care of the problem with my enclosed trailer in such a professional and timely manner. After calling another shop who told me that it would be two days before they could address my concerns about a wheel bearing, I called your business and Sidney said to drop by and he would take a look at it. My team just finished working at the Volusia County Fair recently and we were on our way back to Michigan when we noticed a vibration, likely from the trailer. It is not uncommon for local businesses to take advantage of travelers passing through. After driving 35 minutes to your location, Sidney not only analyzed the bearing problem, he checked the other 3 tires, bearings, and brakes for proper operation. Not too many workers like being watched as they work (I like to learn), but he answered all my questions as he addressed each wheel. I was very impressed by his attention to every detail on every wheel so much that it appeared he might be the owner of the shop. When I asked if he was, he stated he was the manager and worked there since he was a boy. The amount charged seemed fair, like I lived in the area. As a long-time business owner; very impressive. I felt compelled to write to you to say that Sidney does all the right things, even when you are not around. He is the kind of worker/manager every business owner covets.
