At first I assumed the job would be too small for a moving company, but after umpteen delivery services sent me quotes with high rates-- *and* wanted us to help load and unload! -- I decided to call Boomerang, since they did such a good job moving us into our home earlier in the year. Boomerang actually charged *less* than what all those delivery services were asking for, and of course they did a careful, professional job, because they actually know how to move furniture. Nathan and Christian got these extra-tall bookcases down a curving flight of stairs, around tight corners in a narrow hallway, through the doorways and into their places without putting a scratch on either the bookcases or the walls. Moral of the story: Even if you just need to move a few pieces, hire professional movers -- specifically, hire Boomerang!

I came in by myself (with my pup) in a 20 foot UHaul, intending to unload a tiny house kit weighing thousands of pounds by myself. Richard offered his help without any prompting when I checked in (and I demurred because I'm terrible at accepting help). Then he just walked out once I'd moved the truck to my storage area to offer help again. I really don't know what I would've done if he hadn't helped me, as several of the items definitely shouldn't have been unloaded by one person. Richard spent a good couple hours out there with me on the truck, and he made the job SO much easier and more pleasant. I'm new to the area (I'll be building the tiny house on land I bought less than a year ago), and it was wonderful to experience the sort of kindness to a stranger that Richard showed. The lingering advantage of the good service regarding any kind of rental is knowing that it will be there down the road if needed. Was in a time push - day before went online - very clear and instructive, easy to manage website. Found what I needed made the reservation in a few minutes. Did the contract and made the payment on line. Few minutes. Within the hour I got a call from Joanne to make sure all was good and to coordinate accessing the unit the following day. Got to meet Joanne the following day - she got me checked in - we unloaded into a nice good sized, clean unit and on the way within a half hour. COMMUNICATION / CUSTOMER SERVICE -- someone replaced my cut lock with a company lock, but did not reach out to alert me (I have some thoughts about who actually broke in, based on this) -- zero response to my emails about the break-in and theft -- locked me out of my unit when I was a few days late with a payment, actually while I was communicating with them about it and arranging for payment -- hard to reach a manager; their phone system seemed designed to protect the manager from having to fix any problems (one phone employee actually told me in a shocked voice that the manager was not supposed to have to deal with this kind of thing) -- twice claimed I had not made payments, even though my bank told me my checks had cleared CLEANLINESS -- mice got into some of my boxes Keep in mind that if you have an issue with a storage company, they hold all your belongings hostage, and it can be very hard to maneuver when they have that power over you, especially if you can't afford a mover. Make very sure you have options. I have now moved my things to a different facility run by a company that requires insurance and is much more professional, so far--and still costs less. Hope I never have this experience again.

I ended up with a corner unit after everything else sold out three summers ago. I didn't think it would be a problem. However, my unit has been so neglected that every time I return I'm left in tears from frustration. Regularly, if the property weeds are mowed, the weeds around my unit are left. Now they are growing around and into my unit. This is not the first time nor the first year I have called about this. During the winter months, the snow is cleared and whoever clears them makes pathways. Of course, there's always a heap of snow left blocking my unit. And there's some random car that showed up a year ago, but now no longer blocks. I also reported a bug infestation (they keep bug poison things in the unit) winter 2021. Today, I'm crying in my car because there is a snake skin and random bugs in my unit after I had to fight the weeds to get into the unit in the first place. I am so hurt and disappointed by the mixed customer service I have received hitherto at this location (I did have positive experiences at the beginning). However, if I pay as much as everyone else, I don't understand why my unit is continuously neglected and I have to be scared every time I open my unit for what's next. When my mother died during open heart surgery at Christmas last year I had to hire someone to move…read moreher things to my home and close out her affairs. ideal Movers attempted to take advantage of this situation and charge me $5000 more than what was initially agreed upon after sending pictures to the broker and to the Movers plus having a three-way conference with Ideal Movers and the broker. In the conference, by both of them, I was told "Unless there is a golden calf in the living room your invoice will not increase." on several occasions I asked the broker to speak with the movers and I got the runaround and basically got one phone call an hour before they were supposed to be there from Ideal Movers. in this phone call before the movers even got to my mother's condo they were trying to hustle me for more money, talk over me, steamroll me and intimidate me. Once they were all there they stayed for three hours in their truck arguing with me and it went from bad to worse. They tried to con my uncle into signing an acceptance invoice that they would do the job for $6000 after I refused to pay $8000, and then tried to con me and into sending a text message that I canceled. They told me I would never see my deposit back from the broker and that they had other jobs the next day when they were supposed to be working in my mother's condo that weekend packing and loading their truck. At one point they attempted a $5542 proposal to take only one bedroom of furniture, a few Pyrex bowls and a coffee table. This moving company is a complete scam, the owner is in Israel and good luck reaching him. It is a felony to attempt to coerce and threaten a federal employee. They have been reported to the Better Business Bureau as it was such a traumatic and unprofessional experience rife with racketeering schemes to intimidate and extort money-- particularly out of women.
