At that individual therapy session not only she had forgotten everything abut our case, even my race, but also she outright suggested my partner to leave me. My partner decided to stop seeing her after that single session.because Ms. O'doherty was so scattered brain and disorganized and she was injecting her own bias in our case instead of listening to her and our problems. Finally, after Ms. O'doherty told my partner to leave me, she had the audacity to call me once a week for almost month to try schedule a follow up appointment, until I finally blocked her number. There is something wrong with this lady and I am frankly flabbergasted to see so many positive reviews about her. I wouldn't be surprised if she purchased those reviews.

In my opinion, that response speaks volumes about the program's integrity. The director's tone is invalidating, dismissive, and shockingly inappropriate given the seriousness of what former participants are describing. It also raises serious concerns about the program's hiring practices and its apparent distrust of young women who reported unwanted sexual attention or advances. And then, on top of that, for the director to comment on financial concerns in this kind of setting feels deeply inappropriate. When a program is responding to allegations of harm, trauma, and mistreatment, minimizing or reframing the issue around money is not just tone-deaf -- it reinforces the very lack of accountability survivors are trying to describe.

We all have our stresses: Work, relationships, family, friends ... and you can't always turn to close friends and/or family because A) They're your stress triggers or B) They can't give you unbiased feedback. Shana Clark is a licensed professional counselor, and she specializes in so many issues: relationships/couples counseling, anger management, career counseling, problem solving, drug/alcohol abuse, grief/loss, anxiety ... I like that she has a spiritual background, and she is one of the few in people in Houston who uses the Thought Field Therapy/Emotional Freedom Therapy (TFT/EFT) and Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT) aka "tapping" to clear of any negative emotions, energy and thoughts. Bait and switch. I…read moremade an appointment with Dr. Cadenhead because she seemed to have extensive experience in treating children with ADHD. When I called to make the appointment I even spoke with her to determine that she took my insurance (stated she did) and how a prescription could be written for my child (she cannot write prescriptions, but assured me she could recommend the prescription to my pediatrician to write). I made the appointment and spent hours filling out the required paperwork and making copies of other paperwork. After about a 6 week wait, I arrived at the appointment to discover that my child had an appointment with a Licensed Master Social Worker INTERN (so she wasn't actually licensed yet and had very little experience at all). She stated all future appointments would be with her, and she doesn't take my insurance (though she stated they could for that day even though Dr. Cadenhead was out of town). Also, she'd have to talk to Dr. Cadenhead about referring us to a psychiatrist to get prescriptions written. Totally unprofessional and unethical, and complete waste of time.
