This is more like a playground that you see at a mall than a park. It's smaller than it seems on pictures. It's situated in the parking lot of a few businesses. Park isn't gated entirely but my son was too distracted with the playground equipment to notice (1 1/2). It has a boat, rocks to climb,a slide,a lower cave on the floor toddlers can crawl into,an upper cave older kids can crawl up to.But recommended you go up with them as that upper cave has an exit you have to jump down from,unless you come back the way you came (which we did the latter). read more

Oh my gosh. My kids LOVE this park. I found it through Yelp and decided to go check it out. I had never heard of it before. The park itself is a little run down and the apparatuses a bit dirty, but it's a public park. Children are constantly running and climbing everywhere. We went 2 days in a row and stayed for a full 3 hours on the second day. My kids cried both times when we had to leave, then promptly fell asleep on the way home. Score. Some cons: there is a water fountain near the entrance and kids can run back there and can't be seen. It's right by the door so I have to constantly make sure they don't go to that area where I can't see them. Also, there is no restroom on the premises so on one day I took them to Subway even though it says it's for customers only, and the second time I just took them to our car where I keep a small toddler potty. read more

My favorite park to bring kids! They can come as young as crawling age, and I've seen big kids have fun here too. The city maintains it as best they can. The park is nice and small, with lots for kids to climb on. Really a unique and attractive park. Oh and plenty of shade! read more

It is tucked away in the heart of Bellflower right behind friendship square. I've been coming here with my daughter since she was 5 dressed up in her nightgown playing Wendy and Peter Pan, or In her tutu pretending she's tinker bell saving and helping all the other kids. It's located by many restaurants so most often we would come here for lunches and walk on over for play dates. This park besides the entrance the park is fully gated keeping it safe for the littles. There's no messy sand (although I love sand), or wood chips. The floor is nicely covered with soft foam which is awesome! My since my littlest love to explore and climb. In addition to my eldest I started bringing my littlest from the moment my baby was able to run, walk and climb (9months) and as a parent you know at that age safety is not a concern to them and they will climb and explore just about anything! So thank goodness for the foam from preventing bumps on my curious child. LoL now at 2 years old my toddler enjoys playing with the other kids here and man do these kids let their imagination run wild. It is so fun to watch. There is shaded areas on the side where we can sit and watch our minis but you'll usually find me chasing after mine still and trying to prevent a jump off the skull rock cave. This park is a child's dream come true. It's an enjoyable 4000-square-foot fully-enclosed park that is obviously Pirates themed (hence the name). The park includes a large pirate ship fitting multiple children, a fort, skull cave, climbing bridge, treasure chest and a row boat as well. Although this seems to be thee most awesome place a kids party, unfortunately Pirate Park does not rent out for private parties. But I guess that is also a plus because it would be definitely be booked until forever if they did and we wouldn't have any playtime for sure. IF you want a place that you know your child for sure will have fun at no cost. This is definitely the place. read more

First time to this park. I found it online. It is very cute. It has a pirate ship, a small boat, a cave, a bridge that leads up to a walk way over the entrance. I love that they are surrounded by tall bamboo trees. It offers lots of shade. The only inconvenience is that there wasmt a restroom. We had to drive down past artesia to the Dollar Tree so the kids could use it. Almost everything was closed early because of the holiday. Id definitely come back here. Great place for kids to pretend and use their imagination. read more

This park is so cute !! Came across it looking for a great way to take the kids. I am a care giver so I take the kids to all kinds of places and I have to say the kids loved it . I think it's a bit small but it's okay . We are totally coming back here it is also gated so that you can feel a little bit safer that your kids can run around and it's easier to keep watch on them as well as play with them. The children want me to take them again and it's gonna be so fun when I do :) read more

Very nice park, cute for the younger kids. The city needs to come in more often to clean and maintain it I think, but it's nice to stop and sit and watch the kids play on the Pirate ship. It's also nice that they lock it up at night so there is no unwanted elements found in the morning. read more

Love this park! We finally had a chance to check this place out with the kids and they loved it! It's clean, and has enough things to keep the kids busy. They also created a sufficient amount of seating for adults. There's some shading but parts of the park can get pretty hot on warmer days. I would stay away from the little bridge on hot days! There's plenty of parking right next to the park, a Subway close by for a quick lunch, and a super cute bakery for a treat afterwards. I will definitely be returning to this park, and highly recommend it! read more

Very small pirate play ground, not a park. Cute little place hidden in the downtown bellflower neighborhood. My 5yr and 2.5 yr old kids liked it. good place if you're close to the area. My daughter always has a blast coming here! This park has water fountains and plenty of space for children to run around. It's also gated so you don't have to worry about you children running off. There's one area that is a little dangerous for little children because they can fall of the big stairs so watch out for that. It's a very safe place because it's next to a police station. I love it. Small, hidden cute park. My grandson loves it and it's not crowded. I have met family members here so that the kids can play and it's great because of how easy it is to keep an eye on the children. The floor is padded, the ship, skull cave, treasure and fort are awesome to play, climb and use their imaginations. Just note, it's not a regular park with a bathroom and picnic area. There is a Subway across the way so you can buy lunch and use their facilities. They close the park around dusk which is great because it maintains the area clean of graffiti and other elements. read more
