I'm here visiting family, and thankfully they are supportive of my love of fresh sea food, so when I found this place, thankfully it was new for my parents as well. We were lucky enough to be able to sit outside, which if you are a Midwesterner like me, you can appreciate. Our server was very friendly, and we also had some great views of the water! I loved my martini I thought it was made very well, for my meal I decided to have the steamed mussels that were in a delicious buttery garlic sauce, my dad had some tasty peel and eat shrimp as well! I was there for a one night stay in April and booked a Poolside Room thru their website. Under rate details for the room it clearly says there is a daily RESORT fee of $20 charged. I was charged $30. When I asked why I was told that is the current rate and they keep trying to change it in the computer but THE COMPUTER puts back the rate that they had 3 yrs ago. Then the first thing on the bill is the convenience fee of 3.5%. It is automatically added so you have to ask to have it removed if you pay cash. Then the person checking in before me apparently used EXPEDIA to book his room. The clerk gave him a 20% off coupon she said was good for his next visit IF he booked thru their website. After booking this time thru their website I asked for one for my next visit and I was told "they are only for the expedia people." She made a lack luster attempt to contact the manager but in the end told me "she did not have time to argue with me over a 20% off coupon!" Check out is 11a. And I was up late and was looking forward to sleeping in. Well at 8a MUSIC was turned on at the pool and woke me up! The only person at the pool was the maintenance guy cleaning it. The room has a mini bar set up with very high prices!! A candy bar was $2, small can of Pringles $3.50 and a 4 OZ can of cashews $7!!!!! A small Fiji water was $4 and a large $6. Then there is a pop machine across from the ice machine in the hallway with NO prices listed on the products!! There is NO coffee pot in the room, I really missed that. I really hate to get completely dressed to go downstairs to get a cup. Of course they have breakfast items for sale there next to the free coffee!!! Had dinner in the restaurant. The food was nothing special. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars because it was VERY CLEAN and I liked the view! I will not be back! read more

We had the best night at pirates cove last night! Went to check out the song writers festival which was organized so well. The service at the bar was great, the restaurant put out extra seating which was a plus and the live music was amazing. My group ended up getting a table upstairs to eat dinner with only a short 20 minute wait. Our waiter was Charles which we all wanted to shout out. He was the best waiter! Super personable, very quick with getting stuff we needed and overall just a great person who seems to truly love his job. He recommended the French dip (which I was planning on getting anyway) and it was delicious!! If you don't like salty food, I would steer away from this sandwich, but it was exactly how I love a French dip. We will definitely be back for more events and dinner in the future! read more

Nice view of the water, after you figure out where you're allowed to park. The layout, although confusingly chopped up, seems to be ample enough for large parties. It always seems to be stuffy hot the few times I have been here. Not enough fans or air-conditioning...making it hard to enjoy the space. Watered down cocktails served in cheap plastic cups. Food was so boring & tasteless. They charge a quite expensive 'service charge' fee for using credit cards. Kitchen manager, Oscar is terrible...he refuses to swap fish in any dish...even when the patron is willing to pay the up-charge...absolutely ridiculous...some of us do not like haddock especially when you are at a restaurant on the the water in coastal Florida. I am a born and raised Floridian who is a fish snob and only wants certain fish ...like Grouper!!!! Dude you serve grouper in other entrées, stop being lazy and be accommodating to your patron...I've never had a restaurant not accommodate a swap of fish for an up charge... these same kind of reviews are sure to follow or mine will be enough to deter enough business to make an impact!!! Place has potential if they can get a new kitchen manager who can be accommodating to their patrons rather than a lazy rude arrogant prick...oh and be honest about what fish is being served. Risotto balls were good. Mom's baked seafood platter...except the fish wasn't grouper as indicated on menu...guess that is why Oscar was so adamant about not giving me grouper on the entree I wanted. Guac was surprisingly decent too. Florida restaurants should ONLY serve fish that can be caught along the coast either in the Gulf or the Atlantic. This is apart of why tourists come to FL...for the fresh fish! Update. Let me start by saying that this place is the MOST accommodating restaurant that I've come across in the Stuart area. We decided to surprise our mother for her 50th bday at the restaurant next to the hotel at the Pirates Cove Resort. They let us hide in a part of their building, they talked to us while we waited for our parents to arrive and they made sure to let us know when they were seated. Once seated they even filmed the surprise for us as we walked to find our mother. They had live music that night. Didnt stay that late but I've heard nothing but good things about their live music. The menu isn't as large as some of the nearby competition BUT I'm completely okay with this because every single item I had on the menu was mouth watering. We had Mahi bites and loaded Nachos for appetizers and I had their Chicken Piccata. Wow was that Chicken good. The best Chicken Piccata I had ever ate. Service after the surprise was good. The food is in the $$ range between like $15-40 (a/o 12/19) but the money spent is WELL worth it. I would go here again but maybe not pick up the full bill next time . Dont waste your time with other restaurants in the nearby area and spend your hard earned money with food worth its weight. read more

My wife and I visited on a Thursday night, not really busy and we sat outside. Karaoke inside was noisy and not pleasant. Sitting outside looking at a very limited menu waiting on a server, one never came. We left and went elsewhere. It did not seem like they were a very effective team for the establishment. This is a laid back and enjoyable hotel. We have stayed here many times. We like the rooms facing the water and marina which are further from the pool. Everything is close together though, so not a far walk at all to restaurant and pool. The rooms are clean and well sized. We enjoy walking the marina and looking at the boats. The pool is busy with lots of kids. We prefer to walk the neighborhood and enjoy the laid back vibe. The bar below and at the restaurant attracts smokers, so we dine inside with a view overlooking the marina. Everyone is friendly who works here. read more

Terrible service, Mother's Day was our first and last time at this place. We had reservations at 1:15 and they got us in on time. But our food just came in at 3:15pm and during this wait period just got our refills one time. We called a manager and as soon he came over to our table he didn't let us speak the issue and kept interrupt mom of speaking, I asked him to let her talk and he could talk after. His reaction was hit me on my shoulder to shut up. The tables around of me was my witness and their food also was all over 2hours late. His attitude was terrible and I just didn't pressed charges on his because it was Mother's Day. No one shouldn't hit or keep touching anyone. The right thing to do is listen the customer and after without Attitude explain what is going on and what u guys cloud do for us and not treat like that. Our manager have anger issues. read more

Pirates Cove is the best place ever! We have been to their restaurants their tiki bars and enjoyed the DJ in the Safari lounge as well as listen to the live music with our family outside at the bar downstairs. This place has everything. Resort where you can spend the night with family and friends and enjoy the swimming pool!!!! We love love love this place. The staff is awesome and it is so easy to make a reservation. We hang out at different places nearby and call them and see if we can secure a room and it is just such a wonderful place to hang your head or party with your family and friends. We had plans to be there for New Years - Unfortunately we came down with COVID and had to cancel. We asked for a credit and they wouldn't even offer us a free drink for our next visit... Not the Mother's Day Brunch we were expecting!!!! Our server was so slow and forgetful!!! The food was horrible!! When you pay $20 for shrimp and grits, you definitely don't expect 61/80 sized shrimp (popcorn shrimp) and only get 10 of them, with a disgusting tomato sauce with 2" size pieces of raw bell peppers. My daughter's pancakes were inedible because it sat under the heat lamp so long and scorched them, not the mention the burnt pieces of debris from the flat top covering them. I tried to send them back, but was told they no longer have any batter and wouldn't/couldn't make more. My husband Benedict was so pathetic and his home fried potato were raw inside. My mother's mimosa came in a plastic cup. My father's beer came first in a Pilsner glass and second one came in a mug. We were a party of 7, so our tip was already added in at 25% and then we had a service charge on top of that. This was one of the worst meals my family has had. I do NOT recommend this establishment if you want good food, good service and if you have any standards. read more

We were in Stuart for one of our motorcycle meetings and Pirates Cove blocked several rooms for us. We loved the place as soon as we walked into the lobby to check in. The front desk staff greeted us warmly and were quick and efficient with getting us situated. They offer free coffee in the lobby, which is also a gift shop. Our room over looked the marina and was a big room with a king bed and a nice comfy sofa to make a cute little sitting area. The room had a balcony which served us well to have a cup of coffee in the morning. The resort also has a very nice restaurant and a little bar upstairs that is quiet and intimate tropical themed. Then they have a larger outside bar downstairs that is perfect at night. Saturday night they had a very good band and great 2 for 1 prices on select drinks. So add that to a bunch of motorcyclist and you get a great night to be there. We both decided that the area is the perfect combination of the Keys and St. Augustine. It was just so relaxing and nice to be there. We hated to leave on Sunday morning but we know that we will absolutely be back to stay for a nice weekend. read more

The view from the tiki bar on the lower level is out of this world. You're sitting at the edge of the marina where have a close up view of the boat's passing by. Smoking is allowed too, and the 70s music makes it the perfect get away for a boomer like me. Also thought the chicken burrito bowl was delicious and the staff friendly. read more

We drove by boat to eat at twisted tuna but sadly there were no boat slips anywhere bbt pirates cove. We were starving so we stopped here. The calamari was so undercooked. I ordered fish tacos and fries and the fish tacos were absolutely frozen. You would think that being on the water that it would be fresh.... everyone else in my party said their Cubans were not good either. Wouldn't recommend this place to eat. My Bloody Mary did not have any vodka in it at all. No way did it. read more

We stayed for a night on our way to the Erie Canal. Friendly staff, very accommodating, very fun place. On the night we arrived, they Just happened to have a party for all of the guests and we were invited as well. When we checked in and asked where to get supplies, they actually gave us the use of a loaner car! Wow ! We didn't try the restaurant but heard from the guests that it was a super fun place. The docks were good, water and electricity included. Rates were reasonable. They even took a photo of our boat and sent us a copy. Highly recommend read more
