My family has a years-long tradition of capping our PCB vacations with a visit to local mini golf courses. We visited Pirates Island again (first time here in about 5 years!) and were not disappointed. We were greeted by patient employees who gave us a senior discount for my parents -- they were super helpful in sizing putters as well. The course was well thought out and had great stories and tidbits of information about pirates laid out across the massive location. The props and decorations were cute and immersive. This place was truly for the whole family. My only critique is the paths between the holes are uneven and a bit testy for older folks -- a woman behind us nearly fell several times throughout their trip. We will be back and we recommend this spot to anyone in PCB! read more

Such a good time! My husband and I went twice and played both courses. Employees were great and the courses were so nice including the music, signs, decorations and figurines. I had a hole in one on the lucky hole of the day on both visits so I won 2 free games. Can't wait to visit again on our next trip. Definitely recommend. read more

What a great mini golf course! The Blackbeards Challenge was a fun course offing some fun challenges! My suggestion is to grab and extra ball or 2 before you start. Pirates Island is super fun. My wife and I went here on a date and we can say it's honestly a great place for some old fashioned fun. We did the hilly course which has a decent amount of elevation gain going up and down so if that doesn't sound like something you can hack choose the other course. The place was well kept and looks like they take the utmost care of it. Plenty of variety on all the holes! There were a lot of people so it could make you feel rushed if you have a large group. A great place to take the family and enjoy the PCB area. read more

Had a great time wife and I stopped in after dinner played 18 holes and had a really good time, it wasn't busy we didn't have to wait for others to finish it went very quick. FYI dont forget to let the person that you paid know if you got a hole in one on e any of the holes, they will give you a coin to use for a free game if it's the hole they have marked. Would have given 5 stars but there was a lot of leaves and sticks on the course on a few holes. And also the cost to play 18 holes has gone out the roof $32 for 2 people I guess as long as people pay it they will keep going up on the price. read more

These courses are well cared for, challenging, and scenic. Pace of play can be slow when busy, which, may be often when compared to other courses. My lone complaint was that we couldn't add the multi-game package after playing our paid round. Our plans changed so we tried to add on the multi-game package but somehow they couldn't do that, and the cost of another single round was too expensive. read more

BEST ever adventure golf experience! We had a great time, there are 18 holes, each hole is designed very creatively. There are bathrooms easily available and the gift shop had reasonable prices. We were killing a little time and laughed and played our way through in about an hour. Nice breezes because you are so close to the ocean and I thought there was ample sitting at each hole if you need to take a break while others are playing. The design also includes a lot of shade as you walk through which was nice. All in all, highly recommend! read more

We did our annual family mini golf outing. We enjoyed this place and everyone had fun. We had a 3&4 year old with us and they got to play for free as well which was very nice of them. Check your entertainment books for a free golfer. The only drawback was that the lighting was not the greatest so some holes had difficult shadows to play with at times. read more

Lemme tell y'all... this was one of the best experiences of my life, and not for the reasons you might think. My girlfriend and I just got done having a lil beach day, stopped by B.F.Wangs in pier park, and ate our hearts out. We were looking for something to do to top our day off before we went home and Pirates Island Adventure was on the top of the yelp ratings so we went. Let me paint the picture for y'all: it's mid august, hot as heck outside, we smell from the beach, and my girlfriend won't stop talking about how she's going to smoke me in putt putt. The course was pretty cool, I really enjoyed the pirate theme. Around hole 12 the Tiger in me comes out, I bang a chip in eagle from the bunker to take the lead. By hole 17, the Buffalo Wild Wings is starting to come out if you know what I'm saying . I clutch the win by 3 strokes, but now I'm stressin because I'm hot, I'm sweaty, and I'm gonna have to lay one down in the same toilet Black Beard uses on a daily basis. I open the door expecting the worst, but I'm greeted by a breeze of nirvana. On the wall I see an air conditioner that I can only assume they bought straight from a Ritz Carlton hotel room. I walk over to the porcelain throne to not see one drop of urine on the seat... the Lord provides. The smoothest hole in one that Pirates Island Adventure saw tonight was in that bathroom. 10/10 would putt putt again. read more

This course was the wife's and my favorite spot we've visited for mini golf. The staff are cool and we even bought some shirts which were on discount for $10 each because we bought a round of golf. The holes are well maintained which impressed us the most. We'll be back! read more

Had an amazing time here! The girl (I cannot recall her name, but she was blonde and working around 5pm last night) was so kind and accommodating and hilarious. She told us about COVID Fred the pirate wearing a face mask in the gift shop. She actually seemed to enjoy her job which is a refreshing change from all other miniature golf places we have been on our trip. Our pictures speak for themselves. We had an absolute blast! The grounds were clean and well kept. They offer seating at each hole and plenty of photo opportunities with the pirate scenery. They offer two courses. One that goes under the mountain waterfall and the other goes to the top and over the mountain waterfall. We played the Blackbeard Challenge course (the more difficult one that went under the waterfall). This course was challenging, but not too difficult. They also offer discounts for Healthcare professionals on their website! They don't enforce masking or social distancing and staff weren't wearing masks. read more

We have been visiting Pirates Island Adventure Golf since I was a little kid. The course is well kept and the holes can be challenging and fun for all ages. Depending on which course you decide to take your adventure on, whether Blackbeard's Challenge or Captain Kidd's fun course, you will notice that the holes have little information kiosks that tell a story. There are a lot of photo opportunities throughout the courses and the prices are reasonable. Right now they are running a special where if you donate $5 to Putting for Progress, a child gets to play for free and you get bottled waters to drink. It's not a bad deal. It can get hot out there so make sure you dress appropriately or time your putt putt experience for cooler times of the day. They do offer shady spots throughout the course and there are benches to sit and rest if needed. You can also pay a little more to play both courses. read more

Well-maintained and fun course. Staff was knowledgeable and accommodating for our large group, which included several young children. Not recommended if you're pushing a stroller. We managed it, but there were several stairs. Adds lots of fun to the course, but makes strollers difficult and maybe dangerous. read more

came here with my friend just to kill time. It's very affordable and the staff are really great and helpful too. Just be careful hitting those golf balls cause my friend hit it so hard it went to the other side of the road. LOL. If you did one in a hole you get a free play next time. Have a lot of stairs so it's not good if you have a stroller with babies like me. This mini golf course is a lot of fun. Plenty of skeletons, pirate flags, and running streams. There's also a waterfall. Golfers can walk to the top and look over it. The best time to go with little ones is early- before it gets too hot or too crowded. If you go in the late afternoon or evening, be sure to use the bug repellent that is available. read more

Great mini-golf with pirate theming. Both courses are very well kept up with running water and nice greens. Unlike other places you can tell that the owners and workers really care about this place and make sure it is kept looking nice. Both workers that we interacted with were very nice. We even asked about the adorable kittens that they found near one of the holes recently and the workers stopped what they were doing and let us see the kittens in the office. read more

Three "freebies" got us to this venue. I'll try to not let that influence the rating, but obviously - I love free stuff. Overall, the course was clean and well kept. I can't hold the weather against the business - it was fairly hot (August in Florida - duh!) and pretty humid. Some fans around the course would have been nice to keep a breeze going - there are some low-lying areas that have no air circulation and it can be quite stifling. With all the water pumping around and the lights on the course - i wouldn't think a few fans would put them out of business. The greens were in excellent shape. We elected to do the more difficult course, so there were more bumps and obstacles to deal with - right up our alley. The staff could have been friendlier. The guy checking us in and out didn't look like he wanted to be there. I was trying to be nice, but I kept getting half eye-rolls from him any time I had a question or needed clarification (like, "which way to the harder course?"). He wasn't directly rude, but it wasn't a welcoming feeling. A smile and an upbeat attitude can go a long way. Would I come here again? Probably not for $12 per person. The round went quick and didn't provide us with $50 of entertainment. But for the $12 total that we paid, it was a nice night out and we did *something* besides laying on the beach or swimming. read more
