We went here twice 4 years ago and went again a week ago. Love this place. Extensive menu of both traditional and creative dishes. You cannot go wrong with any of their salads or any tapas that comes with a hamburger. as part of the dish. I wish they would open up a branch in NJ. Located close enough to Plaza Catalunya and Las Ramblas but in a quieter area making the outdoor dining experience even more pleasant.

We were waiting for another restaurant so decided to go somewhere for a drink while we wait. We sat in the middle of the street and there was a guy playing his guitar outside on the park bench out front. Can't beat a bottle of wine on the streets while in Barcelona! We decided to order some tapas and they were good, just wasn't as amazing and hot as some of the other places we've been to on this trip!

Catalunya traditional bread, patatas bravas, calamari.

Stayed in Barcelona for 3 days and we went here at least twice! We love the service! Food is great! The vibe is chill! No one bothers you when your just enjoying your time. They have outdoor sitting as well. The inside is so spacious. We preferred sitting inside since it was a quite a windy night. tapas price range from 4€-11€. It is by far one of the less expensive places for tapas.

Came to Barcelona for a day and we happened to pass by and find this place. Service was decent but very friendly, but the food was great! Would definitely come again. Didn't give 5 stars because I wasn't fond of the "croquetas" but other than that everything was delicious.

I loved that this place was right across our hotel. It was my first time in Barcelona. The closing hours are till very late which worked out well after our adventures in Barcelona. I speak Spanish so there were no language barrier issues. The waiter was a bit pushy with trying to get us to order more and I realized they have two sets of menu. One with various tapas and another with a prefix menu. I noticed they would give it to customers who knew absolutely no Spanish and passed it off as their only menu. The prefix was at a much higher cost than the very reasonable tapas menu. It was our second time there as I said very convenient to Hilton where we were staying. That truly disgusted me to see them taking advantage of tourist! I was a tourist myself but I am Hispanic. We never went back again. Food was great but there are many other places nearby with just as great or if not better food than here.

If Barcelona had a taste, it would be a seafood tapa. I'm aware there might be more popular or highly rated places, but Piscolabis is my welcome to a city I love as it's five minutes from where I'm staying. After a tiring trip I take my time to look at the food pictures and enjoy a few simple but lovely tapas. Try fried artIchokes, calamari and spinach with goat cheese salad and enjoy the taste of Barcelona!

I came here recently with friends for dinner. We meet at Plaza Catalunuya and walked around until we found a place that we liked. Piscolabis has outdoor seating (somewhat in the middle of the street) that provides the perfect environment for sharing tapas with friends. While we were there they attempted to get the heaters working but it was to no avail. We all had jackets and it wasn't that chilly, so it all worked out ok. Some of my favorite dishes were the asparagus, the Japanese chicken skewers, and the grilled vegetables. You'll definitely want to get dessert here as well. I recommend the truffles. Piscolabis has an extensive wine list, so for the wino reading this review, you'll want to check out this place for that reason alone. My only issue was with the service. At times they forgot one or more of our tapas/desserts, and we ended up waiting about a half hour for the bill after requesting it. We had a great time here, but expect to be here about 3-4 hours for dinner.

    Mini burgers. Without the bread.

This was recommended by friends awhile back, I remembered the modern ambiance, amazing Tapas, friendly service and the place was as busy then until now. For this big restaurant caliber, it's pretty crowded yet they do a good job with a fast turnaround. We did the early Dinner and by the time we got out there was already a long line for late Diners. The fact that even after a decade, it's rare that I go back to the same spot let alone they're still around after all these years. You already know that tells a lot and I feel bad for those who didn't have the same great experience, hope they give it another shot. See y'all soon! Salut, Vermouth!

For an early dinner by Spanish time, we started with the croquettes. Crip and wonderful. Then the tenderloin which was taste as well, though we should have a sales what is on the top. It seemed like mostly a flavored fat. The tomato with toast was lovely. Soaked with natural tomato juice. The skewered prawns were the best. Get them. And we ended with coconut pudding. It was like a flan with a coconut base. All together fun and delicious!

We were happy to enter the cozy La Alcoba Azul and seated by a smiling host immediately & presented with menus. The interior looks almost like a wine cellar with brick vaulted ceilings. The offerings are best described as fusion tapas but there are a few traditional bites as well. Our waiter presented us with an amuse bouché of pumpkin hummus topped with roasted pepitas on an herbed toasted baguette crisp. DELICIOUS! We confidently ordered the tomato tartare with avocado cream, basil, olive powder and rosemary olive oil caviar as well as a half order of cured Iberican meats featuring chorizo, loin, sausage and ham, an order of the hummus with black olives, parsley, pine nuts and pita triangles. All were terrific! We especially enjoyed the meats and tomato tartare. I enjoyed a red sangria that was satisfying and happened to be topped with cinnamon...a first and welcome addition for me. La Alcoba Azul is a spot we'll keep on our tapas go to list! You shouldn't hesitate to visit.

We grabbed the only table open when we arrived at 1 on a Monday afternoon. We saw a Cava Sangria (a first) and had to try-light and delicious! They also had Majou Beer (from Malaga) on draft which is hard to find outside of Malaga so had to have one. We ordered a couple of starters and a couple of what I'd say were bigger plates. The pork belly marinated in lime was tasty but the fresh Mackerel stole the show! The Truffled eggs with foie and mushrooms was finished table-side and was amazing. We missed that the Cuttlefish had squid ink-no matter, so light and exquisite-only complaint would be to have more cuttlefish. Service was engaged and friendly from start to finish.
