This place makes amazing shawarma wraps and bowls. Their royale bowls are amazing and allow you to customize the meat, veggies, other toppings, and sauces. I've tried their chicken, beef and lamb, and their mixed meat. I can say that the meat quality is always superb and their veggies are always fresh. I've order fries, onion rings, and mozzarella sticks from this place as well and I've always enjoyed them. For this order, I got a mixed grill shawarma bowl with lettuce and pickles, and garlic sauce. It was amazing as always. The meat was juicy and had a slight crisp on the edge. I had some mozarella sticks as well which came out really good. Other things I would recommend here: - Their queen chicken wrap, which is a smaller wrap that I would recommend if you aren't super hungry. They grill their wraps really nicely. - This place has surprisingly good wings! In my opinion, it rivals that of a dedicated wing place. I've only tried their bone-in wings. The staff here are great and very communicative. Whenever they're busy, they always tell me how long it's going to take for my order to finish. They get a lot of Uber Eats order so be mindful that during a rush the store might appear empty but they are very busy. This place has seating but I always get takeout. They put their shawarma bowls in these round containers that are easy to seal and carry.

I placed an order for pickup on a food-delivery app for a Club Mix Wrap ("Pita and saj bread, chicken and lamb shawarma") and added Lettuce, Tomato, Onions, Parsley, Cucumber, Hot Sauce, Garlic Sauce, Tahini Sauce, and Pomegranate Molasses. (As an aside, I really hate it when joints like this don't have an option to just order a wrap or sandwich the way they think it should be made. How should I know what sauces or components work well together?) I arrived a short time later and stood at the counter for a solid minute before anyone offered to help, despite the fact that two separate people made eye contact with me. I'm going to chalk that blunder up to the fact that they just opened, however. I took my wrap home and it's good. The flavors are decent and the components work well together. I do have some complaints, however. I don't think the two separate breads do anything to enhance the concoction, while the meats, tender as they were, were completely lacking in the crispy bits one desires with good shawarma. Finally, the four sauces were just too overwhelming. The whole thing was swimming in sauce. Still, there's a lot of potential here and I'll certainly make an effort to give them another shot in a few weeks.

But if we could have a standing reservation, we would be first in line. Louf is an upscale Palestinian restaurant that is worth every penny. We were there for brunch with friends, and there was no bad dish. The dishes were all sharable, so we ordered quite a few for the table. Some of the highlights for me sujuk cooked in a pomegranate sauce which was so very rich and flavourful. The markouk bil qishta were delightful stuffed crepes and were highly contested at the table. The taboun (bread) was very obviously freshly baked and served as the perfect conveyance of the dishes into our stomachs. If you can think of anything past the food (which I can understand if you couldn't), the restaurant itself is gorgeous. It's located in a renovated house just past foot of the Baldwin Steps by Casa Loma. The renovations make the place feel modern but warm and cozy. It helped that we came on a beautiful fall morning where the colours of the trees added a lovely ambiance to the place. The service was exceptional -- our server, Youseff, was kind, generous, and guided us to the right dishes on the menu. He was so warm with us, even with a combined two toddlers and an infant. While we were there, multiple families with kids came, so it's clear that they take pride in being kid friendly. Also, shout out to Louf for being a no-tip restaurant and paying their servers appropriately. Overall, such a fantastic place, and I'm begging people to not make it so popular that we can never get a table again!

The service was quite slow - we ended up sitting at the restaurant for about 3 hours, since there were long delays between each course coming out. My friend ordered a coffee with her dessert, and it came out after we already received the bill. The ambiance was a bit noisy on the first floor, but it seemed more laidback on the second floor.
