I saw all the high ratings on multiple platforms (and my friend also recommended this place) so I decided to drop in for dinner after visiting Seara Pastry & Bakery nearby for a Yelp Elite event. The unit is very cozy. I talked to the guy on his laptop (presumably the owner) and asked him to hit me with a large plate of chicken shawarma and he hooked me up with the BIGGEST portion. Your boi ate GOOD. There was a ton of chicken and the meat was juicy. I also told him to add all the housemade sauces to my order. My plate came w/ 3 sides. I opted for pasta salad, some kind of herb salad and potatoes. The sides were bright, punchy and acidic which helped to cut back on the richness of the meat. I see some reviewers saying the sides were too salty or sour, but I happened to think there was a perfect balance on my taste buds (I'm on of those guys who loves pickles w/ his shawarma). If the potatoes were warm/hot I do think it would elevate their taste even more as they were kinda cold but that's a pretty much a nitpick (and I'm guessing the potatoes are supposed to be served cold?). My food was ready super fast and the portions are massive! For $15 I definitely felt like I got excellent quality and value. I'll definitely be back in the future when I'm in the area! P.S. The parking lot is wonky. You'll have to circle around the building to get to it as the closest entrance is actually a one-way exit. read more

My family and I were looking for a quick place to get some lunch and found this on yelp. we haven't had Mediterranean food in a while so we were excited to eat some. Once we arrived we saw that they were having a student special for a Shawarma pita with a drink for $6 CAD, which was pretty affordable. We also got a beef kebab plate ($14) and a chicken Shawarma plate ($13). Each plate comes with rice and three salad selections. We got the Tabooleh salad, potato salad, and Quinoa Salad. Portions were super generous but personally, I could go without the salad sides. Their sauces were super tasty though, and we loved all of them! The guy working was also very nice and generous with portions and was very informative about their menu. Food came out pretty fresh and the proteins had good flavor. There is also indoor dining available or you can just take to go. It wasn't busy at all when we went for a late lunch, but truly the quality isn't too bad for an affordable meal. read more

Been wanting to visit this place for years and on multiple occasions. Finally had the chance to on a Sunday afternoon. Was excited to finally try this place however it seemed mediocre from what I seen in pictures and heard from others. Maybe I was unlucky but it was interesting to see how the meat was lightly warmed up and the salads were nearly done. The flavour was lacking and portion was smaller than what I seen. Overall I enjoyed the meal but expected much better. I would definitely give this place a try again in the future! read more

An amazing hidden gem just 5 minutes from Canada's Wonderland and 6 minutes from Vaughan Mills! This place is seriously delicious. I had Eli's bookmarked for the next time we were in the area, and glad we finally made it. After a morning of shopping, we definitely worked up our appetites! The place is a bit tricky to find as Google street view showed a bunch of townhouses and parking garages, but that is where you want to be! There is a small plaza perpendicular to the townhouse complex where you can park. Walk around to the front of the plaza (Toyota dealership is right across the street), and you'll be at Eli's Table. The inside is a lot larger than it appears with ample seating, an open kitchen and an extensive menu written on huge blackboard walls. Abdul is the owner and he does it all. He was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the large chicken shawarma plate and large chicken souvlaki plate. I thought I heard wrong when Abdul said the plates include rice, potatoes and three types of salad! The salads looked very fresh and healthy. There were several to choose from including tabbouleh, fatoush, pasta, potato, coleslaw, broccoli and bulgar. We chose three different ones each, so we could sample them. Everything is homemade and super fresh. Eli is from Lebanon and has been in Canada since he was a toddler. He has over 17 years' experience in the food industry. He prides himself on offering fresh and healthy food based on the Mediterranean diet. We were surprised to find the food seasoned perfectly, not overly salty, greasy, garlicky or acidic. Normally when we eat this type of food, we're guzzling water all night long, and our tongues feel like the desert from the high sodium content, but not this time! This is quite rare when dining out! This is such a hidden gem near Vaughan mills. We had to do some quick errands and decided to stop by and grab something quick. We both had the chicken shawarma plate. One of the best falafels I had recently. I and my partner tried Falafel sandwich ($7) and Chicken Shawarma ($8) sandwich respectively. They even had a student deal for sandwich and drink in $6. Found it economical for both the size and taste. Loved how Falafels were made fresh and tasted heavenly. Normally Falafel sandwich can get dry but they made their sandwiches with healthy quantity of salads and hence it remained juicy and flavoursome. Being away from Ottawa for such a long time, I've been trying to find a shawarma place in the GTA and I think this is the one! High quality food for a great price. You get a wide selection of sides (salads, rice etc.) so it really is a "balanced" meal. I got 2 sides + rice with my shawarma plate which was fantastic! If you are done shopping or on your way to shop at Vaughan Mills, highly recommend you swing by this restaurant. There is no dine-in at the moment due to COVID, but you can always takeaway or order from doordash. read more

What do you think of when you hear of the name Eli? The oh so lucky quarterback who played for the New York Giants? The biblical character in the Bible? Or if you go to Wonderland enough and is willing (or too cheap to pay for crappy Wonderland fast food) to make a trek across the street to get an affordable lunch, Eli's Table may be your personal point of reference to the name. Eli's Table mainly focuses on Turkish offerings...shawarma, falafel, etc. I would definitely not call Eli's the best. You will get a decent meal for a decent price but the food needs to be more flavourful and it's a bit more bland than I expect given the type of cuisine that it offers. Overall, I've given Eli's three tries, so it's not like it's a small sample size. However, one of the most appalling thing is the owner's lack of willingness to wear his mask during pandemic times (this is as per 4 months ago). I can understand that when he's alone in the store where he can choose not to wear his mask. However, even when he's at the cash to greet customers, you can see that there's no inclination to wear a mask. That's not cool. If things go back to normal and I'm on a budget for lunch, I may consider Eli's as an option. But until basic hygiene conditions are met, I think I'm staying away. read more

Literally writing this review minutes after demolishing our food. A bit of background, 8 years ago I used to work in Yorkville (bay/bloor) and used to buy the Mediterranean lunches from Xtreme Taste. They closed down a few years ago and I have craved it ever since. After doing some research I found out that they opened up Eli's table which had the same food as XtremeTaste and more! I bought two small platters-- one chicken souvlaki and one beef kebab. Prices are amazing, I can't believe it was so cheap!! You get rice, potatoes, and two salads. Omg it tasted just like how I remember it, if not better!! The son actually runs the place now and he was very friendly and very personable. I honestly can't wait to eat it again!! I order from here cause my sons name is Elijah and I need this place to be open after this is all done. lol second.. the owner is a sweetheart. great service and his cooking skills speak for itself. third... I did my first DOORDASH DELIVERY!!! and it was just as delicious!!!! chicken burger is soo damn juicy!!.. the beef patty is more filling than a mcdonalds.. The fries are not processed like ithers.. it was delightful. my 1 year old killed them!!! and the sweetest thing was it was on the house. If You havent tried it.. They make everything fresh at order, which was unexpected and an amazing bonus. Our meal tasted so homemade and fresh! We got two small plates, chicken souvlaki and beef kafta. The beef was so flavourful. It comes with potatoes, rice, and two side salads. We tried the pasta, fatoush, kale, and tabouli salads which were all very delicious. The garlic sauce and hummus was really nice with the meat. A small plate is more than enough for one person. We also tried the falafel which has a crispy outside! The inside of the restaurant is also homey with paintings on the walls. There's lots of seating but most people took their orders to go. A small plate is $8 and a regular plate is $10. Eli's Table definitely changed my perception about shawarma... I actually haven't had shawarma in several months due to a number of bad experiences (i.e. awful falafels, strange sauces). I was studying in the area and thought to give this place a shot. I was craving something fresh, yet filling, such as a Chipotle bowl. The plaza may be a little confusing to properly enter, as the parking situation is a one-way. Look out for the "do not enter" sign! I arrived around 7:00 PM on a Monday night. The shop was clean and had plenty of space. We were pleasantly greeted by the gentleman who was working at the time. He offered us a paper menu so we didn't have to strain our eyes looking at the chalkboard menu. He also asked if it was our first time and informed us about what was included in each item. I ordered a Chicken Shawarma plate, which consisted of rice, potatoes, a pita and 2 salads of my choice. I went with tabouleh (parsley, tomato, mint) and a grilled cauliflower and red pepper salad. After that, I was also able to add some apps/sides and sauces. I went with hummus and baba ganoush (eggplant, tahina, olive oil). Pros - The major difference I found when comparing this place to other shawarma joints was their selection of salads and portion size. The salads added a touch of "freshness" that you don't typically find at other places. In particular, you don't get that heavy bloated feeling, which you would get after AYCE sushi or consuming a hefty load of solely rice, potatoes, chicken shawarma, and a small salad. - Value! All prices include tax. My small plate was $8 and in comparison to other places, the quality at Eli's Table was exceptional for what I was paying. Cons - Not a HUGE con but this place is cash only (to my knowledge at least). They have a nifty portable card machine. - I believe the selection rotates daily. Confirm with the store if you have a long travel, and don't want to end up going for an item of which they are not serving on that day. Tips - Get the fried eggplant and cauliflower mix! - Ask questions if you aren't sure about the ingredients in a sauce or salad. I will definitely be returning to this place to try their other menu items. read more

Decided to give this place a try after coming to Vaughan Mills. First off, top marks to Eli's Table for service. Super friendly owner and very inviting. I love that everything is fresh! Salads are showstoppers especially the potato salad and the broccoli/cauliflower. There's couscous, pasta salad, greens. Lots of choice for everyone. Large portions and well worth the price. Mom loved the chicken souvlaki, wonderful Mother's Day meal. Will be back again to try something else off their menu. This place is an amazing value for the location. I can;t think of another place around here where you can have fulfilling decent lunch for 5$. Now for the food it is above average for sure. You get a choice of 2 salads for the Chicken sandwich I ordered. I picked the potato and bulgur. The salads were OK and I am not big on Salads anyway so you might appreciate them more. Main was a nice chunk of grilled breast pieces I doubled up on the hot sauce and hummus so it was flavorful as well. I would not recommend sitting and eating here as the place is quite tiny and heavily cluttered. They offer free wifi and it's very spacious so it's a great place to bring friends. I got the Chicken Shawarma Plate for $10 and the amount of food you get is unbelievable. Absolutely scrumptious! We husband and I tried the vegetarian plate (which comes with 4 falafels) and the seafood platter. Each meal comes with either three salads of your choice and rice or four salads. I was blown away by the fact that the seafood platter is not just a big piece of fish filet, it's also a seafood medley of calamari and scallops! We got both plates for just 25$! It was a great price and the food was so filling I had enough for leftovers the next day! I highly recommend this establishment! read more

Came here for lunch after seeing high-rating review. There were 12 of us and all was excited to try. Nice clean place. Great friendly service. All of us ordered different food. Everyone gave mixed review (but no one say 'bad'). For me, it was alright. Chicken shawarma was too garlicky and kinda sour (maybe because of the chili sauce). I have tried many other chicken shawarma in many different places. This is the only place where it doesn't taste like the 'normal' shawarma. Maybe it's more authentic???? (I can't say for sure as I don't know what authentic should taste like). Also ordered lebanese sausage on the side (out of curiousity). Love the strong spices used on it, even thought it's kinda salty. Eating garlicky, 'soury' shawarma AND salty sausage is SO GOOD!!SO YUM!! Different flavour dancing in my mouth and they all balance out each other. Try to mix and match on your own so you know what I mean :) Oh, and the price is VERY affordable (i literally checked my receipt 3x to make sure it is correct, considering there were dozen of us). The most under rated & delicious middle eastern food in town. Went there last night, and the owner was so kind & helpful. He accommodated me and my boyfriend (no carbs) and gave us a huge quantity of different salads as the base of the meal. Fresh chicken.... YES. FRESH CHICKEN. no preservatives, no garbage.
