During one of my shifts while in my scrubs and mask, I went for my dinner break. This is not the first time I have been to Gyro Bar. I have always enjoyed the food every time I have gone. But today it was different. When I went in, there was 1 woman working the cash register and packing up the food. There were two men cooking. The woman was not wearing a mask. I was a little concerned but I gave her the benefit of the doubt to be taking it off for a second to breath. I understand it's hard to wear masks, I wear it for 12 hour shifts while in full Personal protective equipment. My clothes and my face get drenched with sweat but I am still wearing my mask. The woman does not even make the effort to put on a mask and takes my order. I pay for it and stand back to wait. Alarmed by her and finally noticing the two men cooking who turned around, are not wearing any masks. At this point I am very concerned, I ask the cashier, "are you supposed to be wearing masks while prepping the food"? She is avoiding my question and trying to hand me my food so I would leave. Then the man who I am assuming is the owner got very agitated and aggressive. While I remained calm, I ask him again about the laws of wearing masks while preparing food. He screams: " It's 150 degrees back here. I have health issues I can't. I never thought it would be death caused by China". At this point I am shocked, at no way was I attacking the owner or making any accusations. I tell him his comment is racist. He screams, "NO IT'S NOT. You people are always causing problems". I ask him, "what do you mean by you people? I am a frontline worker I work in the hospital (I am wearing my scrubs). He tries to backtrack and said "Canada people". I am disgusted by this treatment, and this anti Asian racist comment. I understand the difficulties of working during a pandemic. My dad works at a small immigrant owned restaurant. Every day he wears a mask at work to protect the customers, his coworkers, himself and the community. The pandemic is far from being over. It's simple to wear a mask. It's painful to have your loved one in the hospital suffering from the consequences of Covid and dying alone. I will never return to this establishment.

When it came time to pay, the server tried to charge us for the wrong plate, which was double the price of what we actually ordered. I calmly explained the situation, but instead of listening to me, he raised his voice, argued, and refused to talk to me -- only addressing my husband as if my words didn't matter. It was humiliating, aggressive, and blatantly SEXIST!!!! Another group came to sit behind us and I was sitting with my chair a bit far from the table and the same server came to me and say "can you move?
