I've now gone here so many times, and each time it's incredible. I've had every pita pocket, but one and every time, even after a 30 minute drive home, they are delicious. See you soon Pita!Decided to try something new for once, and my mind was blown. The chicken pita pocket was delicious, and the baklava didn't even make it home. I've definitely found a new lunch spot.

We got chicken shawarma and baklava. The shawarma was good, but the baklava was great. I really enjoyed the buttery flavor. A nice fresher option for food, and three orders were ready in about 10 minutes.

Amazing as always. Everything is fresh, has great flavor, and is some of the best looking takeout in town! Parking lot can be a bit chaotic depending on when you go, but it's worth it. Portions are so big you'll be able to eat for days and the prices are very reasonable.

I love this place! A quick pita pocket before work always hits the spot! The falafel pocket has been my go-to for the last few weeks. Hot, filling, and seasoned well! I usually get a side of hot sauce for an additional kick. A discount is offered to all Strong employees; just show your badge at the time of purchase!

I had been waiting to come here for a long time, and was in the area last week, so I stopped in. There is a sign outside, and right inside the door, saying 15% off for everyone from 5-8pm. And they also had a tv with their specials on it. They had an egg and cheese mankeesh special that I decided to get. There were only 2 other people in the restaurant, and they were already eating when I got there. I got a falafel pita pocket and the manakeesh to go. I was there about 7:00. and I didn't realize until after he swiped my credit card that I didn't get the 15% off. I didn't bother to ask about it because I thought it would be a big deal to refund me, but why advertise that and not give it to me? It really irritated me. Actually, it's still irritating me, lol. So, the food took about 15 minutes, and that was fine. I'd never had manakeesh before, but it is basically just a thin crust pizza. The egg part was pretty good, but lots of the crust was burned. If it hadn't been burned, I'm sure I'd have liked it better. I don't know that I'd get one again, but it was big for the price for 1 or 2 people, and we had leftovers for the next day. The pita pocket was ok. I actually liked that there was sauce on most of it. Falafel can be very bland, and having a sauce or something with it gives it some flavor. I had ordered it without turnips, which they did, but there were pickles on it, and that wasn't on the menu. I hate pickles, so I had to dig all of those out. Some bites of it were really good. Some of it was just ok. It was also pretty big though, and I ate the rest the next day. Overall, I wasn't really impressed. If they'd have given me the advertised 15% off, I might have felt more highly about it. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again, but if I was in the area or a friend wanted to go, I'd try it again.

This place hit the spot! Tasty, fast, reasonably priced, good portions, and friendly service. Small place located in the heart of College Town. Limited off street parking shared with a few neighboring businesses. We stopped in for a quick dinner with our one y/o. Order, pay at the desk, and seat yourself type of place. I had the chicken pita with feta...yummm. It was so dang tasty. Very well seasoned. The basmati rice dish was a good portion for the price and the sauces were delicious. It was all so good that even the fruit flies wanted a taste, hence, the four star rating. Instead of savoring every bite, I was shoveling food down and fighting off the two PITAs that liked the Greek sauce as much as I did.

Pretty good food, cheap, and convenient. I'll admit that I was only here for all of 5 minutes--I was trying to grab a quick bite before work and was in a rush. It wasn't busy when I got there (3:30 on a Monday) and there were only 2 other customers there. The employees were friendly and nice, and my food was done quickly. I got the beef shawarma pita pocket, which was huge and super filling. I got it with "everything," which included lettuce, (tsaziki?) sauce, and what I believe were shredded pickles. The only thing I didn't like were the pickles, but that was totally my fault since I didn't ask what "everything" included. The meat was well-seasoned; I'm not sure how else to describe it other than it tasted more Middle Eastern than Mediterranean.

I thought the price increases wouldn't be worth it, but than I tried the food again. I've been here a couple times before and the food and price were great. I had the Baba Ghannouj and Pita Chicken Pocket all three times I've been. The sandwich is large and filling. The chicken marinade is very flavorful and the pita is fresh and chewy. The Baba Ghannouj and accompanying pita are tasty and just right with garlicy.

Great zataar bread. Really great platters and friendly service. We stopped in after learning our favorite Sultan's is closed. Great place.

Putting in a couple appetizers, we opted in for the kibbeh, baba ghanouj, and manakeesh (za'atar w. cheese). The kibbeh was seasoned and fried perfectly. The baba ghanouj was creamy and accompanied with a very nice and airy pita bread, and the manakeesh was wonderful. It reminded me of a sauceless cheese pizza with the middle eastern spices. For mains, we opted in for the Mashawi which included a trio of meats. Kofta, beef kabob and chicken. All three meats were nicely seasoned, but the star meat for us was the kofta. The side of hummus was nice, and the salad was nicely seasoned even before pouring the dressing over it. Also opting in for the lamb chops, I found these to be perfectly grilled and incredibly tender. These were grilled closer to a medium-well, but still remained juicy and packed full of flavor. We found our server and the kitchen employee (perhaps the owner) to be pleasant and full of hospitality. This small-from-the-outside restaurant blew us away and we enjoyed everything we had. We look forward to returning in the near future to try other items on their menu.

Barg Wrap (Steak) Shawarma Plate…read more We stopped in today and ordered take out for lunch, after a friend had recommended this place to us. We spoke with the hostess and she was an absolute sweetheart. We did not know they have been around since 2008! However, there is new ownership this last year. I must say there's a reason people are recommending the food. There is free parking in behind the restaurant. The interior is cozy and has tables for dining in. We opted for a wrap and a plate; splitting both. The plate was loaded with rice, garlic sauce, hummus and lots of chicken shawarma. Topped with another sauce, this was the perfect combo. The meat was juicy and flavorful. There were multiple dressings to choose from for the salad. The Barg wrap was a steak wrap and my hubby commented on how tender the meat was. The wrap was an ok size and was a nice mix of veggies. All in all we had a solid experience and will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

Oh dear. I'm afraid something has fallen off the rails at Cyrus. We haven't been here for a while…read moresince we're not in Oshawa often but it was my husband's birthday and he wanted chicken shawarma. I never order the shawarma but he swears it's the best he's ever had. I opted for their barg because it's always been fantastic. Not so much this time. The meat was so over-cooked that it was actually difficult or eat. The salad and rice were great but the meat was like boot leather. Apparently the shawarma tasted as good as it always has however, my when husband dug deep into the rice and put a big fork full into his mouth, he chomped down on a rather large piece of crumpled up aluminum foil. For the life of us, we can figure out where it came from since the food was in styrofoam containers and the only other thing we were given were plastic utensils and napkins. Although my husband thoroughly enjoyed his shawarma (sans foil), I was rather disappointed with my dish. I guess if there's a next time, I'll go for the shawarma too.
