We planned a bachelor party for Pittsburgh Paintball Park and it was perfect. The staff was super friendly, supportive, and funny. Our referees (shoutout Evan and Cole) did a great job of making sure everyone was set up and ready to go each round. Outside of the staff, the equipment that PPP supplies is great for beginners. We were able to each get a paintball gun, paintballs, and a mask for a decent price ($45) plus around 4 hours of gameplay. PPP offers 7 different arenas and we played 5 of them. Each one was well taken care of and provided a different type of experience. A variety of gameplay is available too. With over 20 different styles of play, we never had to play the same game twice. Wow, what a great time. We went Saturday for a bachelor party and had an absolute blast. Maps were awesome especially Vietnam and Ultimate Woodsball. Our host/ref was awesome too and the place let us take our time and order pizza. I forget her name but she was friendly and helpful while making sure we had fun. We all had a blast. When I pull into the Pittsburg paintball parking lot i feel a comforting wave of freedom and relaxation wash over me. I find that when I'm here I can put all my worries from the outside world aside and think only about getting shot and shooting others with balls of paint that release a painful yet thrilling shock of adrenaline throughout your body. But it's not just your typical paint-balling experience. The options here are unmatched by any other paintball destination in Pittsburgh. They have 5 fun maps for you to enjoy with engaging games like capture the flag and domination all of which offering a unique way to play. My favorite is domination on the map "Vietnam", a big map with cool structures like part of an airplane and lots of different angles of attack. The smaller maps each offer a different way to play and new challenges to take on. Pittsburgh paintball has a group of fun and energetic staff who make sure everyone is safe and playing clean. Came out with my cousin for their official opening day and unfortunately there was a wicked storm that wiped out a lot of progress that they made on their speedball field. Despite that, they had their woodsball field up and another open field with spools, which I would have to argue was my favorite. The weather was absolutely perfect and most of the mud had dried up in time for game play. Good news for all the cars trying to come up their driveway into their lot as well. Lot btw is pretty big and you fit a few dozen cars in there. I was told they plan on putting down stone so that it's easier too. That would be a great addition. From what it looks like they do both capture the flag or elimination games on a rotation. We mainly played elimination. The woodball field in the center is pretty open with a fewk bunkers, each team starts on opposite sides of the field, obviously. It's still early in the season so the green wasn't quite grown in. I think it would be a lot better once it finally does. A group of 30 is the perfect size for this field I think. If they decide to open it up they could do some pretty large games up there. Once you're eliminated there no real good area where you can sit out in, you're basically right on the field on the side behind a few trees. I've gotten tagged twice not even in the game just standing on the sidelines. I'd suggest maybe a net to designate a 'safe zone'. Spool field was great. It's open but the spools provide great cover. I will admit the right side has a huge advantage over the left. On the left you have to mad dash to the closest spool for cover. This was the better of the 2 fields in my opinion because it's constant play, not too much room to just post up for extended periods of time. I'm excited to see what their speedball course looks like once it's up. Since it was their first day 'officially open' and got a pretty big crowd I'm sure they were still working out the kinks. Just from my day there I would definitely suggest more refs or have designated posts for them. There was a lot of back and forth - and some games the players would ref themselves because one wasn't around. Walkie talkies would probably be a great investment. Also since they are newly open, their equipment is fresh. We seemed to be the first ones to break it in and all the rentals were of good quality as well as their masks. Refs carry around rags so when you need a nice wipe you can do so without messing up the masks. Fogging wasn't a big issue either like other places I've experienced. Definitely plus. I think this is definitely a place to come back to and would recommend people in Pittsburgh who are looking to paintball to come check it out. read more

I took a group of 14 friends to P3 for my birthday - before they were officially open for business - and we had a really fun time! The fact that they opened early was indicative of their service orientation, which also made itself evident via prompt replies to my calls and emails, and perhaps more importantly the fact that they bought us pizza! While the location has some work to do before they are fully up and running, we were impressed by the fields that were already finished: one wooded and another in more of an open field environment. They have others in the works, which will make them a well-rounded site for a variety of scenario-based games. Their equipment is also good. It's brand new and my little brother in particular was enamored with the kick-butt look he had after donning a mask and wielding a gun. They even had protective vests and gloves available to rent for our more timid participants (many of us were new to paintball). The staff asked us for feedback following our play. We only had a few small suggestions for improvement, all of which they have plans for addressing prior to the full launch of the site. We look forward to returning when they are fully operational! read more

What can I say? This place was AWESOME. The Staff at PPP maintained a safe atmosphere while still being laid back and friendly. This place was amazing!!! The staff is all very friendly and knowledgeable. The owner was awesome, all the way from calling him weekly with my questions to arriving and being taken care of. There are multiple fields, loved them all. We did variations of games. Beer is allowed as long as you don't act crazy or make it an issue. Check out their zombie games coming up, they sound bad ass! The pricing is great, Groupon has a deal too to make it even better! When we were leaving, I even got a bunch of vouchers to come back for free as long as we pay for 500 paintballs. Such a cool place overall, friendly staff, and we are beginners and were well instructed on safety, rules, and the fun aspects to it! Recommend and we will be back!! read more

I had my child's 11th birthday party here and was sooooo happy with everything. The staff was very nice. There were 10 kids ages 10-11 and they still cant stop talking about it. There were also 4 dads that got out on the field with the kids and they had so much fun that they went back the next day. I've been to many different field across the east coast and this is one of the most professionally run fields I've been too. I made a reservation for my best friends bachelor party and he loved it. The staff had the field set up and ready to go. They gave us a quick safety briefing and then we were got all loaded up and playing paintball in no time. P3 is the best! The staff is extremely helpful, knowledgable and friendly. There is a variety of games to play on several different fields which are each carefully crafted for maximum excitement. Each of the four fields: Speedball, Castle, Jungle and Vietnam, has its own unique experience as they have different advantages and obstacles. I love to rotate between the four every time I go. P3 is in a great, convenient location and has the most reasonable prices for what they give you. Whether you go by yourself and join other ballers' teams or bring a private party, you will have the best time. The paint washes right out of any clothes and you can get a load of protective gear (even though getting hit only stings for a moment) so there is nothing to worry about! just left zombie paintball and for 30.00 a person i saw maybe 10 zombies. we were lead by a guide who was nice but not what i was described when i called twice about it. it was my nephews birthday and i hyped him up and talked him out of going to a haunted house to come here. my suggestions more zombies and let the customer go through the maze on their own. we basically walked on a dirt trail for 30 dollars. we picked the place because all of the other paintball parks just rode around shooting zombies. i loved going there with friends and open play, but i will never do zombie paintball ever. i really hope it improves it will be amazing if they do. # feelingcheated read more

This place is wonderful for either private party, or public games. Stuff is very helpful, pleasant, professional. Refs do keep your safety in mind, reminding people how to play safe. Equipment is well taken care off. If it malfunctions, fixed fast, or replaced. It has 4 great fields, fifth is in construction. The public is usually friendly. Some competitive players come for public games too. As the weather worms up, it's more difficult to schedule private parties, but they make everything possible to make it happen.
