It was a little pricey, $31. The lobster mac and cheese was as much as the sandwich for a container the size of a to-go soup bowl which seemed like a little much. There weren't that many lobster pieces for the price, like 3 or 4 decent-sized chunks, and the mac and cheese itself was pretty bland. The fish sandwich was the best part but I still wasn't wow-ed; I was also charged $1 for one slice of american cheese. I'm fine with paying extra for things, that just seemed excessive. The hush puppies and fries were clearly just frozen, and the fries were cold. For the price, I wouldn't come back here during lent but may visit the food truck at a different time to see the bigger menu.

It has everything going for it: quality fish, perfectly prepared rice, beautiful presentation. My go-to is the sushi regular which includes 8 pieces of sushi nigiri and one tuna roll. Often, this is sake, toro, hotate, hamachi, and/or buri. If you order this, you'll also get a small miso soup. I'm not exaggerating when I say that each piece of sushi is substantial; I'm frequently not able to eat the whole order all at once. I compare this experience to others where Japanese restaurants attempt to serve Barbie-doll sushi that wouldn't satisfy an ant. I can recall places in NYC and Brooklyn where this was sadly the case. Over time, I've had a few other items on the menu, including the sashimi deluxe. One of the most memorable highlights was freshly sliced watermelon served complimentary as "dessert" with my meal. The restaurant has to be experienced in-person to get a sense of the quirky ambiance. There's always a music video playing on a monitor next to an aquarium and huge paintings on the wall depicting different types of Japanese cuisine. The dining room has a sushi counter where I have not had the opportunity to sit. I've tried a pick-up order once (maki roll combination), and it was ready and well-packaged when I arrived, not to mention delicious. The tuna was melt-in-your-mouth gratifying. We wanted to measure Pittsburgh against the delis we've visited in Chicago, New York, and San Francisco so we decided on the Italian Hoagie as a familiar item. Patsy's OVER DELIVERED! The owner gave us his reasoning for each ingredient and why he uses the vendors he does while making the sandwich. It was fun to learn the history of where everything came from and why he sourced those particular items. When we arrived home and opened up the wrapping the bread and ingredients smelled just as fresh as the deli itself. The meats were fresh and each had a distinct flavor, the vegetables were crisp, and the bread was everything you hope for from an Italian deli. Unfortunately, our experience at the counter was disappointing. The young woman who helped us was noticeably rude, unhelpful, and carried herself with an attitude that made us feel unwelcome. She didn't smile, seemed frustrated to be there, and it really overshadowed what should have been a great visit. What made it worse was that her customer service was not only rude to me, but also dismissive toward my senior father-in-law, showing no respect or manners whatsoever. Even he, who is usually very positive about this place, mentioned how unfortunate it was to encounter such poor customer service when the business itself is otherwise top-notch. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, but my mother-in-law said she's always like that--which makes it clear this isn't an isolated incident. I normally don't write negative reviews, especially for small businesses I want to see succeed. However, customer service plays such an important role, and employees who treat guests this way don't reflect the hard work and dedication of Chris's hard-work.
