It's a proper neighborhood butcher shop on Butler Street, the kind of place that had mostly disappeared around here. They do whole animal butchery with meat sourced from local Pennsylvania farms, and you can feel how much the folks working there care about what they're doing. It's not a huge space, just a display case full of cuts, a wall of house made goods, and a small sandwich menu, but that's part of the charm. The staff were friendly and happy to point me in the right direction. The sandwiches are what really got me though. The smash burger is fantastic, a double patty on a challah bun with that special sauce, and you can actually taste the quality of the beef, which makes sense given the whole operation is built around good meat. I also grabbed some of their house made pastrami, and it did not disappoint, tender and full of flavor. Knowing everything is made in house, right down to the bacon and sausages, makes it even better. If you live nearby and don't have a butcher yet, this is the one.

When I asked about ribs and how many I wanted, his response was, "Well, that's going to be $300," delivered with a sarcastic attitude that made us feel unwelcome. Throughout the entire interaction, it felt like we were inconveniencing the staff simply by asking questions. Customer service was extremely disappointing, and the rude treatment completely ruined what should have been a straightforward shopping experience. I won't be returning and would not recommend this business to anyone expecting basic courtesy and professionalism.
