Pineapple hard cider and a show

By far the best find in Oregon. We've been coming up to Corvallis and Albany for four years and just this weekend we found this gem. The owners Diane and Rod were fantastic hosts, and created such a magical space. The sound and picture quality were top notch, the seats were very comfy and they deliver food to your seat. Speaking of food, all their food is great and very reasonably priced... definitely not the stale movie food we've all grown accustomed to. We had a piping hot pepperoni pizza and a terrific medianoche cuban sandwich they call El Jefe. If you're in town I strongly encourage you to the make the time to visit, and if you're in a neighboring town...trust me it's worth the drive.

Recently we watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation at The Albany Pix Theatre! It was our first visit there, and it was fabulous! One of the proprietors introduced the film with heartfelt notes and then the entire audience of fans sat back and enjoyed the show! Imagine a laughing group calling out "I don't KNOW, Margo!", hollering "Shitter's full!", and singing along to Mele Kalikimaka like it was a bright Hawaiian Christmas day! The food and drink were a notch above normal theater fare, tasty and not cineplex-expensive! I enjoyed my half-caf latte and we both enjoyed hot dogs and high-quality buttered popcorn. The items that took time to prepare were delivered to our seats just before the show started. The theater is warm and welcoming, full of cinematic quirk, and decorated with self-referential cultural totems everywhere! It is a very worthy nerdy lair of the highest order, and will be my Theater Of Choice henceforth! Well done, Pix! Being in the same town as you makes me happy! We love you already!

Barbie movie decor, they also had an awesome Barbie box to the left!

This place is a gem. I always tell everyone I know to see movies here because it is always the best experience. The decor creates such a cozy vibe and the snacks are the absolute best. Some of my favs are the popcorn (of course), root beer floats, chai tea latte, and hummus and veggie plate. And chocolate dipped frozen bananas!! Everything is reasonably priced too. They often do special movie showings which is super fun, and they go all out decorating for whatever movie is playing. I come here any chance I get, I never go to other theaters anymore, it's just not the same. The staff are excellent as well, super kind and welcoming. I hope the pix stays open forever and ever! Support local businesses y'all!

Love the Pix! Thank you for having Wicked at your theater! You always have Wonderful displays for photo ops!

Absolutely wonderful local theater! Went for the first time today with my wife and our kids for a showing of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever alongside fellow NAACP members and supporters and had a wonderful experience. It has a great "nerdy" aesthetic which I loved and you can just feel the love for cinema which I find very refreshing compared to the corporate-feel of the nationwide theater chains. Also, they have a great menu for getting just about anything you'd want, including some of the best popcorn I've ever had. We will definitely be coming again and want to say thank you to the owners for hosting the event.

They have a really cute decor going on there. They have the best popcorn and their prices are so reasonable. Better then Regal.

It is nice to have a small town movie theater in Albany. If you like the historic, old time movie experience, you will like this place.

The…read morebigger woman in the ticket booth is rude and her behavior towards happy paying customers is just unacceptable. To tell me that I need to pull up my pants like my stomach isn't fully covered already. To call me inappropriate... She's the one who was being inappropriate and she nearly ruined my little siblings birthday present. That present being going to see the new Spider-Man movie. She needs to be fired. I really did like the food staff though. They were very friendly and the movie was a great time. So 2 stars. Minus the three because I'm still disgusted by such a display of behavior in public. Big girl to big girl where's the damn solidarity? Where's the support? Why am I not allowed to be confident in my body just because she isn't? I was wearing high waisted underwear that were in boyshorts style so it's almost impossible for them to show anything anyway. They were up around my belly button. My pants sat below it where my hips naturally sit. If I had been wearing lower waisted underwear all you would have seen was my stomach. Since when are crop tops not allowed in theaters? And it's not like I was sagging or anything either. My pants were where pants naturally sit on a lot of people. I wasn't exposing myself or anything. In fact it was tucking underwear so there was especially nothing to see. If she isn't fired or doesn't apologize next time we go we won't return. Why would we spend money where I feel that disrespected? I still had enough courtesy to give the extra star for the other staff and the overall experience but it can become one star so quick if that woman stays so entitled. Typically it's the customer who is a Karen but I think in this case she was entitled, annoying and very very white so that would make here a massive Karen. If she wants to have a personal conversation about it I would love to discuss her disgusting behavior. I was nothing but kind until she started botching about my fashion choices. And even then I sucked it up and bullied my pants up until I was inside where I immediately pulled them back down to my waist. If my shirt weren't cropped she wouldn't have seen my underwear. If my underwear weren't high waisted she would've seen my belly button. All I did was add another layer in between her and my belly button. Why was that even necessary? You couldn't see it anyway? Should I attend my local theater in my redneck town in a burka? I'm sure that will go over well too... She either needs to get here shit together immediately and understand that people my age dress far more provocative than I was and I don't think I was really provocative at all. If I were skinny would she have let me in like that? If my stomach didn't bulge like hers would she have treated me how she probably treats her own reflection? The photo attached is very close to what I was wearing accept I was wearing sweat pants and my crop top ran a little higher so you could see a sliver of skin above my stomach but below my breasts. I'm sure she's seen women in booty shorts. So how is what I was wearing inappropriate? Why should I be threatened to not have the tickets sold to me over it? Stay woke.

But on the spur of the moment, I decided to check out this festival, held in October at the Linn County Expo Center. It is a 'Body Mind Spirit Holistic Fair' and has a little something for everyone interested in matters of the mind and heart. In addition to those listed above, there were also masseuses, clairvoyants, artists, iridologists, and even crystals and tie-died clothing. Of the 3 people I consulted with, all 3 had spot-on feedback for me. It was almost scary. I didn't volunteer anything. Yet these insightful women were able to tell me things about myself that I rarely tell anyone. I was quite impressed. And a little overwhelmed, I must confess. Sandi Buchanan (Radiant Journeys). She is a medium I went to see in one of the special classes offered during the event. Enlightening. Shay Garrison. She does 'Aura Readings', where she takes your picture with a special camera that shows your aura and explains what it means. Very cool. Cheri Pang-Burghardt. Another medium who really impressed me. And an extremely sweet and sensitive person. And I opted for a massage, too. Why not! Andrea McCullough of Sacred Tempos has magic hands. This was just the kind of event I needed and I'm so happy I attended that day. It really was an eye-opener for me.
