Let me start off by saying that the food at Pizza Como is above average and their menu selection is decent. That being said, their service and CUSTOMER service is abhorrent! We have been their numerous times because we like the food but have stopped going because 1: the prices on the menu ARE NOT the prices you pay! And they don't care. They simply say "our prices fluctuate because of the economy" -- I'm sorry, but that is NOT a good enough reason to not post accurate pricing or at the very least put notes in the menus saying that the prices have changed. There is NO warning until you get your check. And when I questioned it, the waitress told me there is a sign on the counter saying that prices MAY change. No offer was made to meet the printed price -- so I took it out of her tip. 2. When I asked to sit in a specific area because of a large group that was very noisy, I was told they could not do that. So, because they seem to charge whatever prices they want to -- we no longer go there. And I suggest to others that until PC posts accurate pricing that you don't go either... you may end up being charged $15 for somethign that says $12.50 on the menu! Buyer beware!!! read more

Have eaten here a few times (both takeout and dine in) and I have to echo what another reviewer said in that the service here can be pretty bad at times. Quite frankly the first time I came here I was treated so rudely, usually the kiss of death for me, that I'm surprised I ever stepped foot in this place again. Most likely it's because all the following times we went here was because we were with friends and the restaurant was their choice. Anyway, the service we had the last time we were here (dine in) was the worst ever and SO BAD that it's doubtful we'll ever step foot in this place again. This last time we came here for late mid-afternoon lunch on a weekend and even though the restaurant was mostly empty save for 4 other tables and there were a number of servers around it took FOREVER to get everything - initial order, drinks, appetizer, drink refills, our sandwiches, the bill, it was a good 15-20 minutes in between anything. Our waitress acted like this was all just business as usual - no comment about the super long wait times. We were a party of four that only got drinks, appetizers and sandwiches in a mostly empty restaurant and we were in our seats for 2 HOURS! Not by choice I might add. That's just ridiculous. The food here is pretty hit or miss in my opinion. Some decent stuff and some just so-so. I do think they have excellent cheese steaks if that's your thing. I had to update my review of this place again after going last night. We sat at their new outside tables, and no one came to serve us. So my husband went inside and asked the bouncer to send a waiter out, waited another 10 minutes, still no server. He went in again and asked, waited another 10 minutes, still no server. I saw a hostess, grabbed her and asked her to send someone out. No joking, 20 minutes til they took our drink order. Then we waited 10 minutes for the drinks. We were there for 2 hours and my husband had 2 beers, because the service was so slow. Didn't bother ordering food, I have eaten here before and its greasy, and nothing to write home about. I remember years ago PC Pub had a decent thing going. 3 star place, maybe 4 star place for the area its in. The food was never great, but it was passable. The staff was friendly. The place would be packed friday/saturday nights with attractive people. Fast forward to today and its no where near that. A friday/saturday night its about 1/4th of its original crowd. And its mostly drunk rednecks who shoot dirty looks at you. But you can tell why it has sank so fast, so hard.... This place need a major remodel. It's falling apart. It's ugly. They still serve beer in plastic cups. What is that about? Beer taste horrible out of a plastic cup. And its not like you have a spring break crowd at the beach. You're in Pennsburg, you no where near capacity, the cover-bank you booked for the 800th time is really bad and doesn't draw anyone anymore, your staff is getting slow and cranky. Your food some how jumped off the deep end and taste like, well I'll leave that part blank. If you want to order food here, do yourself a favor. Don't. Ordered takeout tonight for our anniversary. Always wanting to support our local, family-owned businesses, we selected Pizza Como. My husband ordered lasagna. When he got home, this is what we found. At first we were just going to let it go. But as he continued to eat he became very disappointed and said "if I would have known this, I would have just ordered spaghetti and meatballs." At that point I called to inquire. The woman told me they ran out of lasagna noodles so they used spaghetti noodles instead. I told her it would have been nice if they asked us to make an alternate selection. She said not a word. So I added that being honest with your customers is important. This is how you lose business. And then, she hung up on me. Yep. We spent $45 on our meal plus a tip because we know that servers aren't making nearly what they used to pre-Covid. I'm all for being patient during Covid. Went here on Saturday (I ate out all weekend yay me!) for my niece's sup. 30th party. They were packed...holy smokes. However, because of the size, it didn't feel claustaphobic. We were early and got drinks which were reasonably priced. And we watched a two foot-I swear- stromboli come out of the kitchen. OMG and boy did I want that. The party room was freezing, but I can overlook that. They served fried veggies and chicken strips as well as salad, pizza and mozz sticks (amazing). The food was decent. Not astonshing until......we got a chicken ceaser pizza to take out. HOLY HELL, it was the best pizza I ever ate. I kid you not. So if you're out in east bumble where this place is, head there. Tucked away in a Pennsburg, PA shopping center is unassuming sports bar and Italian restaurant Pizza Como. A dozen wings fit the bill for an appetizer to share. Talk about variety, their menu listed TWENTY different sauces (look at their menu online), but, being it was my first visit, I would gauge their wings according to the standard Buffalo. A brief consultation with our server revealed that the Hot is pretty hot for most people, and that, in fact, they were out of the Suicide sauce. The wings were brought out piping hot, but rather dry, with little sauce to be seen. Upon closer inspection there was indeed a coating of sauce, but I was in the mood for them a littler drippier. We were provided extra sauce, which made all the difference. The wings were a proper medium-size, crunchy (but not overly so) on the outside, and properly cooked on the inside. Their Hot was actually a proper hot. If you like your sauce hot, you'd find these are accurate in their description. I regret not being able to test how hot the Suicide sauce was, but that will have to wait until a future visit. Definitely recommended. read more

Pizza Como is hidden in a strip mall which includes an Ace Hardware & a YMCA, which I frequent. When my husband and I moved to the area, we were looking for a comfortable, modern watering hole that served great food. Pizza Como has become a place where we can not only get great food, but also enjoy the overall dining experience. The last time that we went, my husband got the Pescatore pizza, which is a white pizza, that has shrimp, squid and other seafood. It's about $15, but it was worth the price. Not only was it hot, but the crust was soft, crunchy and all of the seafood was fresh. When I go to the Como, I usually get the pulled pork sandwich which has broccoli rabe and garlic, as well as freshly shaved parm....simply heaven! The service, usually is pretty dead on. There are two bartenders who run the bar, and are there Thursday and most weekend/weeknights. They fill our drinks quickly, serve the food at a fast paced and are social. I know that several other reviewers mentioned the bad service, which we unfortunately have experienced when we've sat in the restaurant area, however, we sit at the bar usually and are treated with the utmost service. So.. if you are driving on the turnpike, near Quakertown, it's worthwhile to get off the exit and make the time for this wonderful local hidden restaurant. We've taken friends and family to this place and have been pleasantly surprised.. I'm happy to go back anytime! read more

I call back and explain I was just hung up on and I get no apology or explanation just a rude girl asking what I want to order. My GF gets there pics up there order and notices it's not a white pizza and they lie to her and say I didn't order a white pizza. Mind you I know I ordered a white pizza because my GF is allergic to tomatoes so I would never order that for her. I have been getting food from here for a year and a half since I moved here and I have met both owners and they are great guys. But they need to get better staff that are ignorant and liars that work there. We all make mistakes, own up to it! Yeah, creative option, I know. The menu is more like a diner than a pizza place. My food was brought out after everyone else, which I couldn't quite understand. Seriously, a chicken Caesar salad takes longer than Philly Cheese Steak Fries (which looked decadently delightful, by the way)? I had to watch my friends eat while I awaited my salad. My initial impression of the salad was disappointment. There were big HUGE chucks of lettuce and it didn't appear to be Romaine, as I would expect with a Caesar. Maybe it was, but didn't seem to be. The chicken and olives were VERY generous. As I ate my salad, I started to enjoy it. How much of that was food quality and how much was the result of diet-induced deprivation, I cannot say. Still, it was fairly decent and satisfying. A quick tip--be sure to check in. I checked in right after we paid the bill. Had I checked in earlier, I could have saved 10% off our bill. I was here the other day taking my mom for an early Mother's Day. My parents like it and that is where she picked. When we walked in we sat ourselves and the place seemed nice enough aesthetically. The menu though was a little daunting, I have a rule of thumb that I don't eat at a place where the menu is more than 5 pages long. This one was 8! However, my mother picked this place so oh well. When I asked about if the pasta was made in house the waitress seemed confused and finally said no but they boil it here! I thought it was interesting that a place that served Italian cuisine did not have fresh pasta. So I got a wrap which was really good and mom enjoyed her chicken club sandwich. So the food we received was decent but the service was sub-satisfactory. Seemed like a lot of standing around and talking to each other and they did not have a great knowledge of the menu. I think my biggest advice to Pizza Como is downsize your menu! I don't think it's possible to prep a menu that large fresh everyday and so your quality will suffer. Overall though it was average and mom was happy so that made me happy! read more

If you expect a check after getting your sub par food boxed up, expect to wait at least ten minutes while your bartender walks around aimless and speaks to other customers ignoring the non regulars. Waited ten plus minutes for a beer even after being asked if we wanted another. Plus food coming out before the app is even finished... Not the best at being a bartender or waitress. And the only time she stays to talk is if you are a regular or buying shots. Probably not the best attitude , especially for being the wife of the owner. She is rude and not personable... My friends and I have spent many a Thursday night here and always leave with a smile and good memories. This week, however, we decided to go on a Monday night. Instead of the waitress we're used to having, we got a young "lady" who all of us used to work with about a year ago. Generally when we sit down and order our meal and drinks, the waitress asks if we want a split bill. We always do. Our Monday waitress did not ask us and we assumed since she knew us, she'd know we'd want the bill split, since none of us are a couple or related. After we moved from the table to the pool area, we order drinks at the bar and the bartender says that we need to close the other tab first. That's fine. The waitress brings over one bill. We explain that we want it split. After calculating who ordered what, she catches a huge attitude, flips her hair, and walks away yelling that we should've known to ask for separate checks. I assume she decided she was done dealing with us and sent someone else over to give us our separate checks. Since we're upset, we explain the situation to this fellow. Instead of good customer service, he begins to point out that we went outside with our beer when we weren't supposed to (aforementioned waitress actually opened the door for and told us that we could, in face, drink outside). There was no apology. There was no sympathy. There was just a guy who could not care less about the way customers were treated. Needless to say, we left with no tip. One of the owners frequents my place of business often. I wonder how he would react if one of our employees spoke to him the same way his waitress spoke to us. My husband and I have eaten here, drank here and even danced here with friends. Here is my opinion...The service is terrible and the food is ok. It's a better place to go to drink and listen/dance to music. Every time I try to give this place another chance, I get disappointed. What frustrates me the most is the service. The waitress in the area where the bar is, really needs to smile, pay close attention to her customers needs and remove dirty dishes from the table when you see that we are finished eating. I have only ever sat in the dining room, I come here once in a while with my dad for dinner. Very large menu ranging from seafood and sandwiches, to pizza and cheesesteaks. I usually get a pasta dinner, very large portions served with soup or salad with rolls for a good price. Great beer list with many draft beers ranging from Lagers to Pale Ale and IPA. Service is slower, it's a place to go when you're planning to sit and chat during dinner but the wait staff is attentive and friendly. read more

Is rate this place negative stars if I could based on their service alone. They're always terrible and slow (think 2-3 hours just to order and eat here) which is a shame because their food is actually really good when you can get someone to take your order. My sister and I stopped in a week ago on a Friday night and went and sat in the bar area. It was relatively lively but not as busy as most bars/restaurants in this area are on a Friday night. We waited 10 minutes at a table before WE finally asked for menus from the bartender. You'd think that would prompt SOMEONE to come over and see what we wanted, but no one did - not even to take a drink order. After another 10 minutes of waiting we figured we'd get better service if we were seated on their dining area.... WRONG! We waited another 10 minutes there just to have anyone come and seat us, but no one ever came. We finally just tossed the menus on the counter and walked out. The thing that is the real kicker is that after a HALF HOUR WAIT there were two people just standing at the takeout counter that saw us waiting but never got anyone. We were here last night with a group of 6 of us and it was busy. The service was a bit slow and the restaurant is LOUD but that was all acceptable to me. What was weird is when our bill came the total was $103 so I whipped out my credit card to pay. When the waitress came back with my receipt I noticed she'd charged me $109. The service was so slow that the rest of my party was already waiting for me outside so I didn't say anything. However I did just notice another reviewer wrote of a similar experience. I never bothered to call over $6 but I do recommend you pay attention to your bill. read more
