We had to threaten to leave in order to get served. The filet was mediocre and the asparagus was inedible; it was so hard I spit it out. We were comped for the poor service but even with that I will never go back. There are too many restaurants with good food and great service that don't cost nearly as much as this place. read more

The food is delicious, especially the bree! Drinks are made strong, a mixology perfection. I love the blood orange martinis! The servers are friendly and professional, they go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a good experience. My favorite experience here when weather allows is sitting out on the patio. I was looking for a decent place to eat on a Sunday night at 8pm. Happened on Brick Tavern Inn for this reason. So we were completely surprised and delighted when it was an incredible dining experience from start to finish! Don't miss their homemade champagne vinaigrette, You can even buy some to take home. Tonight we had a dinner reservation for a dozen people. It was a special night for my future brother in law so we celebrated at the brick tavern inn for dinner. We got seated in a nice, private room and our waitress was very nice and attentive. The reason why I'm giving this a 2 star review is because of the food. The potstickers that we ordered off the menu were nowhere near a potsticker. Potstickers get their name because they are pan fried and "stick" to the pot, giving it a pan sear crunch on the bottom. The potstickers we got had no sear and felt like it was boiled. Maybe that's how they make their potstickers and if they do I wouldn't market them as a "potsticker". The elephant in the room was my entree. I ordered a filet mignon medium rare, as I always do at a nice restaurant or steakhouse. When all the food arrived to our table, my steak was cooked nearly well done. I didn't want to say anything because I never want to be "that guy" but everyone else at the table told me I should speak up because it was a $40 steak. Long story short I did and the waitress apologized and took my steak back and asked the chef to remake it to medium rare. 10-15 minutes later, everyone else finishes there meal and I finally get my steak and this time it was the opposite - it was very rare. As Gordon Ramsay once said, "it's so raw, it's still moving around the field." At that point I was just shocked and didn't want to say anything so i just tried eating it. I took 2 bites and everyone was already boxing up their meals and I just ended up boxing basically 3/4s of the filet and the potatoes and asparagus it came with to take home. The waitress did ask me if my steak was fine so I just lied and told her it was ok - I didn't want it sent back a second time for the chef to spit in my food. Two other people in our party did order steaks too but theirs came out exactly how they wanted it. It was a busy Saturday night, the restaurant was packed so maybe the chefs got frazzled and sacrificed quality for quantity/speed? What's nice is the waitress did give me a free dessert on the house for all the trouble. All in all, I would probably never go back. Everything else was fine though. read more

Very limited menu, they use to have great chicken dishes but not any longer. Nice atmosphere and good place to get filet.

Housemade Mushroom Soup served hot was delicious, esp with warm roll. Side Caesar Salad with housemade Caesar dressing was good. Not sure if House Salad with house vinaigrette dressing is same as Brick Tavern Salad with champagne vinaigrette dressing. I think friend ordered House Salad and it was so fresh and flavorful, I had to get it next time. Aglio Olio was good. Friend really liked Tavern Burger medium rare with caramelized onions and Swiss cheese. Grilled Rachel sandwich was good. Housemade warm butter cake with vanilla ice cream was very delicious. I prefer butter cake without caramel, sauce or whipped cream. Housemade key lime pie was very rich and made me realize what a difference scratch made graham crust makes! Tried decaf coffee. Many of the servers were so friendly and helpful, making the experience even more special. read more

My husband and I wanted to try a different place to eat dinner at for our 45th anniversary. After searching online four to five star places to eat locally, I came across The Brick Tavern Inn. It was a great choice. I made a reservation and mentioned it was our anniversary, that it would be our first time at Brick Tavern and requested a table in dining room near a window. We were seated at a nice corner table with a window. Our waiter was very polite. A carafe of water is first brought to table, I don't know of any other restaurant that does that. We ordered drinks, my husband had beer, I ordered the Blue Hawaii an excellent drink. The sweet dinner rolls, appetizer, soup, salad all very good and the main course meals were delicious and very large portions too. We give The Brick Tavern Inn a five star rating...except for the pesky fly that kept returning to our table. read more

Tried a ribeye steak for dinner, thought it was safe. Worst cut of meat I can remember. Will never go there again.

We chose to eat on the outside patio. Great choice due to awesome weather and the food was served hot. Waitress was very good. Blackened salmon was amazing as was shrimp scampi. Caesar salad was so so, lettuce was not crisp. Chicken parm was good but served in a bowl and hard to cut. Chicken was very thick. Apps were great - ahi tuna and fried green beans. This place is one of the best around but pricey. $281 including tip for 4 people. This inflation stuff has to end! read more

We had a dinner for 2 at Brick Tavern Inn before a local event. We started with solid shrimp cocktail and a really good French onion soup. One of us had the salmon (very good!) and the duck breast )which was tasty meat but could of benefitted from a more flavorful sauce. The service was pretty good and the prices appropriate. read more

OMG! Heaven on Earth. This place is perfect. Been here since 1818 so they must be doing something right. The food is amazing, the staff is very friendly and service was outstanding. We are at the bar and the bartenders are wonderful. They do reservations but bar is 1st come 1st serve. Don't miss this hidden gem. It had old school brick and wood charm. Loved it here! I sat outside on a Thursday evening, beautiful scenery and weather. The Host and the rest of the staff were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. I had the salmon which was cooked perfectly and a Cesar salad that was also tasty. The house Cab Sauv was a great choice And my husband enjoyed his Mojito. I will definitely visit again read more

The brick tavern use to be-a fine dining experience right up there with Trainers if anyone remembers that . Yelp asked me to review! - Last time we were there service was terrible so we never went back! That was over a year ago! Because it was close to closing, waitress did not even offer us dessert! When we asked about dessert we were told they could not offer, they were closing in 10 minutes! We had Attitude the entire night and no dessert was just icing on the cake for the entire experience! To whom it may concern, I am writing to express my displeasure with the customer service at your establishment. My wife and I were looking to enjoy a nice dinner out. We were sat promptly upon arriving at the restaurant, but after being sat, nobody acknowledged our presence for over 30 minutes. We never even had our drink order taken. Several parties sat after us received prompt attention as multiple waitresses continued to walk past us as if we were invisible. We tried to remain patient but enough was enough we had to eventually get up and leave. Our first visit did not disappoint! The food was fresh and flavorful. The service was fine. Without reservations we were able to sit in the comfortable bar. My Cabernet was perfectly portioned. I tried a make reservations for 6pm but couldn't because it was full and that's not always a bad thing. Ended making reservations for 7:30 and we were seated promptly after we arrived. The hostesses were very cordial, nice and the waiting room was clean with a bench to wait for your party. There were plenty of places to park in their private parking lot. It was pretty full as well. Building, grounds and parking lot looked to be well maintained. We both had a fish entre, it's been a while so I can't remember what the specific dish was. Rainy Friday nothing to do, looked online for best lunch places in bucks county PA. The name and pictures attracted me so off we went for lunch. Upon arrival the place looks like an old farm house with over grown trees that puts your hopes up for a lovely country experience. Once inside we were greeted by very nice hostess and seated on an older enclosed porch area. The decor to me is Victorian with a little country feel. Our waitress approached and we advised her this was our first time here. She explained the menu and told us the popular items. She was excellent. I started off with mushroom bisque soup which was thick and definitely home made. My GF Andrea had the French onion soup that was very tasteful with plenty of cheese. Both were very good. With the soup came rolls and butter. The butter was a house blend with honey that was excellent. For lunch Andrea ordered the Ahi tuna appetizer which was done perfectly and contained 8 slices. It was amazing. I had the Pilgrim turkey sandwich with Cranbury mayo. The sandwich was a good size and everything on it was so fresh. You can tell the chef takes pride everything including the coleslaw was in house made. All in all I will return when in this area for an entree which I'm sure will be excellent. My family and I were driving through Quakertown on our way home from the Lehigh Valley area and were looking for some place to eat. We had a few options but ultimately ended up turning around to stop here. The outside has a lot of curb appeal which gave us a good feeling and inside the little lobby area is nice. When you're inside you can tell that the restaurant is of a higher quality, it's older so some people would consider the decor dated but it was so clean and well kept and very cozy feeling! The menu was limited but offered both sandwich and entree options and had a good variety. My family and I settled on entrees all priced around $30 or so, they come with bread and soup or salad. They had a soup of the day which is what I got, chicken barley and it was packed with flavor! My mom got French onion (there was an up charge for this which we weren't told, but my mom really enjoyed it) and my brother got the mushroom bisque. Aside from soup of the day they also do a spring roll appetizer of the day and one entree which was mussels. My family and I all ordered either the filet or crab cakes and having tasted both were so delicious! If you ever want a good steak come here because it was hands down the best steak I've ever had, it was cooked perfectly! The meat wells tender, juicy and they didn't overlook it like most places and the flavor of the actual meat was SO good! I said I will be back for the steak because it hands down was the shining star of the meal. The steak came with potatoes and green beans and the crab cakes came with a wild rice and green beans which was also really tasty! The crab cakes also came with a really nice remoulade. Our service was excellent, our waitress was sweet and put up with my crazy family and I! I'm honestly surprised to have found such a quality restaurant in Quakertown and I will recommend this place to everyone! read more

Great service and excellent food with a midcentury vibe

This place is out by itself. Charming old style building with a lovely outdoor patio (covered) Our waitress "Rachel" was as nice as they come. We ordered the Batter dipped Grean Beans = heavily seasoned batter with about 12 beans + dip. The Manhattan Clam Chowder = was very good. I got the Corned Beef Rueben = decent, but the meat had little flavor. My wife got the Ahi Tuna (starter) = not so good, that looked amazing, but, was not a good cut of tuna & only a few bites were taken & we both agreed to not eat it. Food is no where what it used to be. Quality just isn't there any more. My friend and I went 40 min before closing and we both ordered the filet. We should have left because we were snarled at by the hostesses again. -but I told my friend that's nothing new. The steak was clearly microwaved and spongy. Chef came out to see how our meal was and by his appearance - I wouldn't have said anything but "it was perfect". He was clearly ready to go home and looked it. I brought the steak and mushy over done veggies home to my dog. At least she enjoyed it. Hostesses have always been consistent on being the rudest but the wait staff are all nice.
