So here I am, and best way to adventure on the island is, of course, tasting all the local culinary delights. After good recommendations from the locals, we chose this restaurant and came in on a Saturday evening in mid August - which seems to be their busiest season. Luckily we had booked our table days prior. Domaine du Vieux Couvent Is a medium class restaurant and working hard to become a classy one. We arrived at 5.35pm and the last main dish was served at 7.40pm. (Nice features on phone to capture exact location and time of every picture you take). So be prepared for a long wait, and I guess that's why they serve bread and butter when they hand out the menu. Luckily for us, we had ordered wine and were in good company. BTW, we poured our own wine, as the waiter was too busy. As we did so, we spilled some drops on the table. Not a big deal, as we just swiped them away with our napkins - hence the reason why there isn't any table cloth. (I think). We ordered mainly seafood and they were all delicious, especially the mussels. The sauce was well prepared, rich with flavours. Perhaps, not the kind of food if you were on a restricted diet. Pricey for what we ordered, but fortunately we were invited and were guests at the table.

La Patio was really the first viable option we saw, and even though it was not quite dinner time, we decided to eat there. They had a pretty decent beer selection and it was the tastiest, most refreshing beer I have ever had, and our waitress kept the water glasses full. The menu had a lot of variety, but I went with a mini cheese pizza. When it arrived it had a lot of sauce and unusual cheese on it (I think it was cheddar), but it was the right size and right price and it tasted pretty good. I don't speak French and the waitress didn't speak much English, but she was very nice and tried very hard to understand me. In a town this size there aren't many restaurant options, but if you eat here you won't be disappointed.

The place has a great outdoor patio with a fire pit for those cooler evenings and a roll-up garage door inside for those beautiful summer days. This place isn't very organized for larger groups and the staff could be a little happier if they are expecting a large tip. Food quality is ok but I would recommend somewhere else in town if you're expecting excellent seafood as this was just average.

It wasn't too sweet, had a smoothness to it, and melted so nicely. I also got a small crab cake on the side to eat later and it was flavourful and seasoned!
