I am extremely disappointed with Pizza Grande. The pizza really had no taste. I ordered online yet I wasn't able to pick the flavor soda. I listed my number in the special instruction area. I also stated that I was unable to pick a soda flavor. I asked for them to call when they were making my order. I did not know what flavors they had. I tried to call cause I received no call. I was told by the manager that he sent Pepsi with the order and it already went out. We don't drink Pepsi. The manager told me when the delivery guy got here from grubhub to tell him to take the soda back and bring another one. The cheese seems good enough not too greasy and the crust is not super thin doughy enough. They do not provide parmesan but will give you red peppers to go. Staff is friendly but on some occasions the pizza has been extra chewy and could have used a minute or too extra in the oven. Parking is always available and the place does get busy. This is one of the closest pizza shops near me, definitely my favorite nearby. The prices are very inexpensive and the pizza is good. $5 pepperoni 6$ Hawaiian & $10 supreme pizzas. The customer service is always great when it's the girl working, she's super nice & friendly and to top it off she's usually always alone, Impressive! The wait is always about 15 minutes but that's why i always call it in and just pick it up! Pizza Grande is a relatively new low buck pizza take out joint located in the bowels of Nasty City. I was doing laundry next door when I happened to notice this place. I walked on over, went in & decided to order a basic pepperoni pizza combo with breadsticks & a 2 liter soda. For starters I have been a long time customer at Zappy's Pizza. 8 years to be precise & in my opinion they are the Kings of low buck pizza in da ghetto. After seeing these 5 star reviews on Yelp, could Pizza Grande really topple over Zappy's Pizza & take over the hood in the battle for low buck Pizza supremency? This white boy had to find out. Service was good & my order came out in 15 minutes. I quickly head to my car to check out the competition (sorry Zappy) & dig in. Breadsticks were good (better than Zappy's) & then I wanted to try the marinara sauce with the bread. It was pretty decent but I think my taste buds favor Zappy's a little more. So far each opponent has 1 point a piece in the early rounds of this matchup. So the big round comes up next & it will determine the winner in this all out slugfest in the ghetto. The pizza crust was indeed light & airy as described by other viewers & more crunchier than Zappy's Pizza. At this point I'm getting a little concerned for my old standby. I dig deeper into the pizza & realize that the sauce, flavor & amount of toppings is not bad overall...pretty decent for the price but not enough in the end to knock out the reigning champ. I have eaten here several times after that & I do enjoy the fact that they are literally right around the corner from where I live. Pizza Grande is a decent standby to an old favorite & the price is right if you are low on dough. PG may have not won the heavyweight title fight for low buck pizza in the ghetto but they did earn my respect for their efforts. As a person who used to only order from Pizza Hut, I was surprised at how much better the pizza was here, and for only $5. I come to this place very often, it's my favorite pizza place. If you like basic pizza and not all that gourmet crap this is a place for you. They have really good combo deals at reasonable prices. Their ranch dressing is better than the ones you buy at the store. I would give this place 5 stars but my pizza isnt always fluffy how I like it every time i buy from here. I'm from Dallas, Texas and in the south....It's AAAAALLLLLLL about Papa John's! I live 4 houses down from this place and thought I'd give it a try about 3 months ago... Since then I STOPPED going to ALL other pizza places because this place is IT!! I urged them to get a yelp page because I know good ingredients (because I'm a classically trained chef from Le Cordon Bleu) and I know good food! The sauce is absolutely fantastic!! And they don't put too much or too little of it either. And having worked in a pizza kitchen....That is VERY important! I truly can't say enough about this place. I ordered the Mexican pizza and it was delightfully tasty and spicy! I read on here that the beans weren't good on here and not knowing if the pizza actually came with beans I ordered it without, just in case :) And I am not much of a beans person in general. My son loved the cheese pizza as well. I would definitely go back here, but be aware you need to brush up on your spanglish as the front staff only speak spanish. read more

The pizza is good. But customer service needs improvement. Everytime I come here the man at the front seems to always have an attitude. I usually always order on the phone and am given a estimated time of when my pizza will be ready but then I am always asked to wait longer. (Almost double the time) Today I ordered in store early morning I drove by and their OPEN signed was on so i stopped by but when i ordered the man was a asshole and said it was going to take long (15min) bc the oven wasn't ready. Once your "Open" sign is on everything should be set and ready to start making orders. I said it was ok but still waited 10mins more! Ive only tried their wings and pizza but its my favorite pizza spot now cause its so close, cheap, and good. Its like a better version of little Cesar's for me lol just cause its mostly $5 and the crust tastes way better than little Cesar's.
