This is a restaurant that, if you are in the area, you need to experience. I've been wanting to eat here for years and just now got around to doing so, but let me tell you, we will be back! We started our meal with the Pimiento Cheese Fritters, which were perfectly crispy on the outside with warm, creamy goodness on the inside. For the main course, I had a muffuletta on focaccia with sweet potato fries. This muffuletta was as good as any I've ever had. My husband went for the pork belly pizza, which I sampled. The flavor combination was dynamite. Crispy, salty pork belly combines with hot pepper relish and pineapple for the perfect trifecta of flavors! Terrible experience! We came with a group of 6 at 1:30 pm and the place was essentially empty. They seated us way in the back of the basement. After inquiring about how long it would take to be served, we all ordered sandwiches because the server told us that the pizza "takes longer". 40 minutes after we ordered, we asked for our food to go. It took another 10 minutes for them to bring out the food. I wish I could tell you that the food was worth the wait, it was not. The sweet potato fries were soggy and gross. The ham and cheese was greasy and the ham was burnt. Maybe the pizza or pasta (after 4 pm) is better but I don't think it is worth the risk. read more

In the past this has been one of the better restaurants in town but as of our recent orders, it hasn't been of Pizza Grocery standard. We did a take out order and the pizza topping and sauce was sparse. Our order of wings was over cooked/ burned and had as many feathers on them as you may expect to get from a lesser quality restaurant. Rustic and charming exterior? Check. Active railroad track nearby, proving you are truly in the Crossroads? Check. Outdoor dining area for use in perfect weather conditions? Check. Ample seating with room to move about? Check. A dimly lit, but pleasing to the eyes basement/cellar? Check. Varied menu offering choices for all ages? Check. This one dining spot seems to have it all and is in the process of expanding upon the already expansive menu offerings, by building a coffee shop within or in addition to. I ordered the house smoked duck and sausage pasta. This was as perfect a pasta dish anyone could want. The ratio of sauce to pasta was spot on. The intensity and depth of smoke in the duck rivals any bbq joint. The flavor of the sausage was intense but not overwhelming. The duck was sliced and placed atop the dish and not buried in the sauce. I was truly awestruck at this dish altogether. I ordered a half order and it was an ideal amount of food. I didn't have leftovers, but I really didn't want to eat reheated duck, so with dogged determination I finished it off. I wish there were more "smoked" menu items than just the duck. I did notice that they have added a cornbread salad to the chalkboard. At least check seating availability before deciding to dine elsewhere, because you will miss out on a devine meal. I wouldn't recommend a sandwich, the Italian ordered was nothing exciting. They offer special menus weekly and checking Facebook before visiting could lead you to an even more exciting dining experience. This place was awesome. A lot of history in this building but the servers should know a little more about. They had to go ask. The eggplant sticks were just okay. The breading was great but the eggplant could have used a little more cooking. The homemade mozzarella sticks were soooo good. Pizza was very good. We usually receive excellent service and great food from Pizza Grocery, so we were unpleasantly surprised with our carry out order this evening. We both ordered chicken parmesan, but we got something very odd. Chicken parm is usually a breaded cutlet, but we both received dry, half-breaded, super-thick chicken breasts that were so over-cooked that they were nearly inedible. I also received an inedible piece of bread that was so hard I could have broken a window with it. I hope this was a fluke, because we have enjoyed this restaurant many times in the past. Bad, bad experience! Went here on the recommendation of the hotel we were staying at. I ordered a glass of $9.00 wine and it came out in a plastic cup. I was informed they were out of clean wine glasses. That should have been our first hint of bad things to come. We ordered a calzone and a burger. After we ordered our server came back out...good news she tracked down a clean glass for my wine. Bad news is they no longer had burgers. We just settled on sharing a calzone and salad since I just wanted food at this point. The large salad came out and it barely fed one person let alone being able to split between two people. We asked if it was a large just to confirm...she said yes it was a large. The calzone came out and we had to ask if this was the small portion. No it was the regular size. Come on a Friday night and have a reservation. Waitress never came by to say hi or anything took 15 minutes to even get drink orders. Then after trying to order various items was told they are out of almost everything on the menu. After ordering 3 appetizers was brought them out separately and two entrees then another 10 minutes for more and then another 15 minutes for the remaining entrees. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. My food was cold by the time the rest was delivered. Asked for mushrooms then after my food arrived was told they were out. NEVER COMING BACK!!!! Our group has gone to Corinth many times through the years. Often we have eaten at other places, but I had always wanted to try out Pizza Grocery - I had heard so much about it. Well, it finally happened. My wife and her brother wanted to try "The Works" pizza. Man, what a delicious blend of so many flavors and textures. The crust had a great chew to it, but that was only the beginning. As all the ingredients combined, they made for a super mouthful of pizza goodness - such an added treat. I was so glad to finally get there. You gotta try it yourself I almost forgot to mention the terrific staff they have. We arrived before they were officially open. Before we could get out the door, they told us to enjoy the Coffee Bar upstairs (which was quite good) and that they were going to work on opening early to accommodate us. Well, I told you how good our food was, but on top of that, our waitress was pleasant and she put up with our special orders. Nice touch. My absolute favorite place in Corinth- I beg my husband to take me here for special occasions because the food is just awesome. I'm not usually a pizza fan, but I love the Greek Pizza. The spinach artichoke dip is to die for- big chunks of artichoke heart, and it's so cheesy and creamy- I eat it with a spoon! My only complaint- no soda fountain, so if you order a soda, no free refills. Small complaint really but it's the kind of thing that's worth noting if you're a big soda drinker. read more

I was in Corinth, Mississippi, for a work function on October 21, 2014 and dined at Pizza Grocery for dinner that evening. I live in Atlanta, so Corinth seemed really rural, even though it is the biggest town in a 45-mile area. Pizza Grocery felt upscale for this laid back town, but still relaxed. It is one of the nicest restaurants in Corinth, located in the heart of downtown. The restaurant has ample tables with upstairs and downstairs dining areas, as well as a patio near the railroad tracks. I was in a group of 12, and our service was actually a little slow, even though the restaurant was not very busy that weeknight. The menu contained a wide variety of Italian fare: pizza, calzones, sandwiches and salads. My table ordered bruschetta, fried calamari and spinach and artichoke dip as appetizers. Each of these did the trick of keeping us from starving, but none of them really stood out as award winning. The restaurant had several craft beers on tap, which I enjoyed. I am not a wine connoisseur, but several people in my group seemed impressed with the wine list. For dinner, I ordered a vegetable calzone, which met my expectations. I was not "wowed" by it, but at the same time I was not disappointed either. Everyone else in my group was also pleased with their entrees. Overall, I would say that dining at Pizza Grocery was an enjoyable experience. I am spoiled by the variety of specialty pizza joints in Atlanta, but I see why residents of Corinth and nearby even smaller communities speak highly of Pizza Grocery and pick it for a date night meal. read more

I ordered pizza, chicken wings, and wine. The good: pizza was excellent. Crust was cooked perfectly, sauce was delicious, etc. The bad: I asked for the wings to be crispy. They arrived with black scorch marks so I assumed they were at least crispy. I assumed incorrectly. They were anything but crispy and in fact almost gelatinous.
