After a busy day I wanted a nice glass of wine and it was delicious. I decided shrimp Alvino that was described as jumbo shrimp sautéed in butter on a bed of linguini. The pasta was delicious but the shrimp tasted like frozen shrimp that been thrown on top and was dry. I told the waitress that it was not sautéed and if I could have more shrimp. She was very young and said that they would probably have to charge me for it. So I told her that I would have to speak to the manager but since my husband doesn't like for me to complain I asked her if she could take my shrimp and have it sautéed. When she brought it back to the table it looked like it had just been tossed on the grill with no butter. To please my husband I ate about 3 of the 6 small pieces and dealt with it. I cook 6 to 7 nights a week and was looking forward to a good meal especially since we were kinda celebrating an anniversary. It was very disappointing. I will never go back there.

Ken's is a local place, so we dropped in. Server seemed nice and knowledgeable. Said they didn't have Hawaiian pizza. Since my friend and I have different tastes, we decided to order a medium half and half to share half pepperoni and half ham, onions and pineapple. I had glanced at the menu and any medium pizza was $16.59, so I figured it might cost a little more if they had to charge for the toppings on the Hawaiian half. No mention of the additional cost, so adding a small salad and two drinks, I expected the bill to be about $28. The pizza was good. We ate, went to pay. The total charge was $38! I asked for clarification. The server/checker, the young lady who served us said this is the only way she can ring it up. $16.59 for the medium pizza plus $1.49 for each ingredient on each side for a total of $24.04 for the medium pizza. Add $7.50 for a small plate of salad. Charged twice for onions because the half with pepperoni was not included in the onions for which the other half was charged. Server was callous and unconcerned about our shock at the cost. The night supervisor, saw us, glanced at the server who apparently has him bullied to the point that he ignored us and went back to the back. I have since learned there is a button on the register for Hawaiian pizza. So the only conclusion I can make is that we were lied to by a callous, and/or malicious teenager who took advantage of two old ladies. When we left she smugly said "Have a nice day" I bet she was laughing the minute we got out the door. I have a copy of the receipt if anyone wants to see it!!! I will never set foot in Ken's pizza again!

My two star rating is solely on the Pizza. I haven't had their pizza in at least 10 years. I thought they came free?? I was charged $0.75 each for two of them, after I saw them missing from the box. I guess it's Papa John's that includes them for free along with a couple peppers. That is one little perk I DO like!! I'm not dissing the place as I will go back to try their Pasta's, Chicken, and Sandwiches. I might find something I like there. A woman in tight pants that came in 20 minutes after us was the smartest. She left, but LeBron made her pizza anyway - stashing it in the warmer in case she came back.
