It's actually really good Detroit style pizza! Located inside of a brewery, this spot will take your eyes and stomach by storm! Great taste with a nice cheese pull and a caramelized crust - this pizza is comparable to other Detroit Style pizza places I have tasted all over the country over the past couple of years. If you're ever in Wichita Falls, TX go by and get a beer while waiting on your pizza - you might even be lucky to be around when they have trivia night like I was!

If you like so so pizza and lukewarm beer, this is the place for you! Stopped in tonight for dinner after seeing Progress Pizza when we went to the ramen place next door. I had the fig and prosciutto tavern style pizza and it reminded me of an artisanal frozen pizza. The menu said it had fig spread on it but I couldn't find it anywhere. My husband had the Detroit style carnivore. He said that the cheese and the crust were good but that was about it. His Dos Equis was also lukewarm... The staff was really nice though! There is better pizza in town. Stone Pizza, Half Pint and Bricktown make great pies. Would I go back to Progress? Maybe but only to try a salad.

Wow. Detroit style deep dish pizza. Deep dish cause you're gonna be so deep in this dish you will never want to eat any other pizza again. A classic pepperoni pizza that progress pizza elevates with the sweetness of honey. Upon the first bite you're met with an explosion of flavor, crisp crust, warm cheese, and sweet juices flowing through your tastebuds. I know gluttony is a sin but i will ride to hell for this pizza and lather myself up with the grease. The experience of eating this pizza is what some would call a spiritual awakening, you will see the creation of the universe through the crunchy yet juicy bites you take. If you have failed your entire life, do one thing right and eat this pizza. Your sins will be forgiven and you will be reborn. The ranch is what really makes you question, is there a divine maker living among us and crafting such a perfect complement to an already perfect pizza? Yes. I can't put into words how it feels but maybe this is love. Thank you for showing me how to laugh, forgive, and show some humility. The place itself is cool and a nice bar. cozy upstairs loft. but the pizza.... i'm telling you man

Ordered brisket nachos -cold. Literally not even kind of warm-chips we're soggy greasy with three pieces of "brisket". So gross just walked out.

First impressions, Progress Pizza is hard to find. It is a restaurant inside a bar with no signs on the outside to show it was on the inside. Atmosphere: 2 Stars. Most of the low rating is because if you don't know where to find it you have to go door to door until you see it. There are plenty of tables and the ceiling is high. Most of the credit for the place goes to the bar and not Progress Pizza. Service: 5 stars. The receptionist showed excellent customer service skills. She was friendly, thoughtful, and attentive. Quality: 3 Stars. This is a hard one. I only had the pepperoni pizza, chicago style, with that I consider the crust, sauce and cheese. Starting with the crust, 5 stars. It was thick, definitely NOT for thin crust lovers. I enjoyed it immensely. It had a bit of a smoked flavor around the edges and was crispy. So there's that. Now the sauce was dabbed on the top of each slice in large portions. I had seen it before at other places but I don't like it that way. The sauce was not bad but not great either so I will give the sauce 3 stars. Cheese, however, was a disappointment. Mostly the cheese is forgettable. Portions of it were small and its flavor was hard to taste. For this reason, I give the cheese a score of 1 star. All in all, the quality of Progress Pizza's pepperoni was 60%, so considering the price I regret not ordering it with extra cheese. That or ordering something else. The rest of the menu looked pretty delicious. Value: 2 Stars. This is another tough one. I paid $15.16 for the pizza which could get me almost two pizzas for the same price, from a chain store like Domino's Pizza. I really felt like I got my money's worth for the crust but the rest of it left me begging for a good portion of quality cheese. I felt like I paid too much for a pizza that was missing cheese. The size of the pizza was not remarkable for the cost. A large pizza could have satisfied me with half to two-thirds of it. I ate the whole thing and well it filled me up but the chain pizza store would have satisfied me. I admit that the quality of ingredients is better at Progress Pizza but the value is not, at least on their pizza. Overall, 3 Stars. I highly suspect that their salads, sandwiches, and meats are something I would have enjoyed more. The pizza, as is, was a disappointment. I couldn't know it unless I tried it. Now that I have, I regret not trying the other attractive options on the menu. It's the name of the business, Progress Pizza, that and my love of pizza compelled me to order it. I think that with the quality of their ingredients I could have really enjoyed the other items of the menu.

Bonus--the 2nd floor has a bar, so it's a whole experience getting up there. The food overall was really good with a few standouts. The deviled eggs were so good--definitely a must-order. My son loved his burger, and my meatloaf was solid comfort food. The mac and cheese was delicious and probably one of my favorites on the table. A few sides were a little hit or miss--the sweet potato casserole was good, the dill potato salad was just okay, and the okra was a bit over fried for my taste. Overall, it's a fun, unique spot with good food and a cool atmosphere. Worth checking out if you're in the area!

Last time our group came we realized that the menu prices didn't match the tickets that we received. Wayne gave only 1 of us a $5 coupon. We received our dollar back, so it was not a problem. Our group came back today, saw our favorite waiter Juan who already knows what drinks we like who needs a military discount and what we will order normally. When it was time to go, one of my lady said that her bill was wrong, because it didn't match the menu. I looked at it and realized we just had that issue last month which meant for a month people paying an extra dollar on their meals. Last time we came Wayne said he going to be fixed. So we had four bills that did not match the prices on the menu. I asked Juan to let the manager know since we had already done this dance the last time we got food here, but wasn't worried or agitated, because I was heading out to work. When the manager Wayne comes he hugs and greets one of my friends who he gave the coupon to last time. I was about to leave, but said that the menus don't match the prices again and we already talked about it last time. Even though Wayne has tons of attitude on a regular day, he said that I needed to be Kind like I was a kid!?!? I looked at him I said this is his kind with no loud voices, no frown. If somebody tells you that you need to be nicer to them when they made a mistake and didn't correct it the first time, while people are paying extra per ticket. He was hostile, but made it seem as if i disrespected him. I picked this place for lunch, now I am being mistreated by the manager for pointing out an error. Then he asked me my name, I was paying the bill and was over the altercation. He would not let up and kept telling me that he's having a busy day and how I need to Be KIND.... It wasn't a big deal to me, but he made it one being loud in the Restruant standing over me. I don't really speak to Wayne, because we don't joke the same I am here to eat and leave, but he is a bit extra. I was just telling some friends how I liked the vibe of the restaurant this weekend, I have given some good reviews. Wayne was beyond rude and unprofessional, we all agreed. It came out of no where, we thought he was joking at first as he does a lot, until he kept taking down to me. My group will no longer come here, since you never know how you will be treated. I come in order pay and leave there's not much conversation as I've written in a previous post. My crew and I agreed and informed Wayne after each of us felt he was avoiding the Brown skinned patrons, he would go around the restaurant speaking to everyone except our table multiple times. It has been better, with playful banter the last few months. The salad bar price is rising it started off at $10 w/a big and small plate, but is now $13, but you pay $14 on the receipt and they want to take your tiny plate away, unless you request it. I understand things cost more, so it's fine. Since it's close to where we work and most of us are trying to have healthy options, grabbing a salad for lunch makes good sense. The salad bar is usually clean and fresh. Like I said Juan has amazing customer service and is always super kind and nice to us no matter how busy or crazy it might be in the location. FYI, there is a store at the bottom that is extremely political and can make many people uncomfortable to walk through, if that is not your party. The way that I was treated today was overboard and unacceptable instead of squashing it the manager kept wanting to speak to me as if I was a child when I wasn't speaking to him at all! The only brown table in the room and he kept belittling me saying that I need to be Kind when I wasn't even talking to him and he doesn't know me at all. I have a friend that comes with me that literally yells and screams, but it seems as if he only has an issue with those he chooses to have an issue with. I have spent quite a bit of money in this restaurant, but I will no longer come again, but will miss Juan. It is unacceptable to be treated in this manner because a customer had to say more than one time that there's an error on the menu and you don't like to take accountability. A dollar isn't much, but they add up. Whatever the price is that you were telling people to pay that's how much the price should be. It may take a moment, but staff should adjust the price at the register to prevent confusion. I was told by 3 of my ladies on Saturday that during the nighttime they get a smaller plate than the daytime for the same price, which would be not worth $14, it if that's the case. I don't eat anything else on the menu, because I I have not found anything else appetizing and fulfilling for the price at this restaurant. I hope and pray no one else has to deal with anyone treating them the way that I was treated today, and will drive a little further to Jason's Deli for the best salad bar in town.

From the inside, still looks like any other small diner in a strip mall setting. The tables are either booths or wooden tables with wooden chairs. The place was very busy for 7:30 on a Friday night and the atmosphere is uber casual. Greeted by a seat yourself sign, we found a table in the front corner, by the window, and waited for our server. Within a few minutes we were waited on and given our drinks. First place in a long time that carries Coke products and offered diet Dr Pepper- good start. We order onion rings as an appetizer and I got the soft taco basket while hubby got the crunchy taco basket for dinner. We hopped up shortly after we ordered and moved to an empty table a few feet away because the AC in the area we were sitting was unbearable. Way too windy and way too cold. Found our new seat to be better from a warmth standpoint. Onion rings came out and while there were only 6 in the basket, they were huge and cooked to a nice golden color. Unfortunately, they were a little bland, but with some salt and ranch, not too bad. My soft tacos were delivered open face on a large plate. Interesting presentation for sure. There were 3 and each came with ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese. I ordered sour cream on the side and am happy to say, they were delicious. I only ate 2 of the 3 so proportionally they were a very good offering. Hubby's order included 4 crunchy tacos, same fillings- except no tomatoes for him- and I took a small bite to taste the shell. No complaints from either of us. Our server was really sweet and other than a slight delay between getting our drinks and ordering dinner, service was fast and efficient. Dinner cost about $45 in total- with tip- so not too bad for a quick stop in a little town. Hope you enjoy
