Sadly my review does not aline with the reviews that enticed us here. The baked ziti was not very flavorful...needed garlic, basil, oregano, pepper....as did the eggplant parm. More like canned sauces .. How sad. The slightly frozen tiramisu was delicious. The bread was under proofed and heavy. I don't think we will drive up here again for this dining experience. read more

3.5 Came here with a friend for lunch. The inside was quite and dim. The staff was very nice and helpful. I ordered the sampler, a sweet tea, and garlic bread marinara sauce. My price with military discount was about $18.00. My friend got a calzone, sweet tea and it cost $13.00. The salad is lots of lettuce, some shredded carrots and a tomato. We ordered food to go online. The staff was very nice when the food was picked up. Mozzarella sticks were delicious. I know some people think those can be hard to mess up, but they definitely are! If you like breading and cheese you know the difference between good and bad! The pasta trio was good. LOTS of cheese. The lasagna was my favorite part of the trio. The chicken parm was okay. I think they should add more sauce. I will say, the chicken tasted like one large chicken nugget. It was not chicken breast. The breading was good, but the fact it was processed chicken kind of ruined it for me. They did also include 4 dinner rolls which I did not picture. They were fresh and delicious. The food was packaged nicely, so it was still really warm 20 minutes after it being ready (email confirming it was ready), the drive there and home. Overall I think the things we ordered were good. We wouldn't order the chicken parm again, but we definitely will return to try some other menu items. read more

All of the food we ordered was excellent. Staff was very friendly with just the right amount of attentiveness. If it wasn't almost 5 hours away I'd go back and try everything on the menu. Had the Eggplant parmigiana, chicken Florentine and shrimp diavolo for main course...all made from scratch! Oh my-lanta! Everything was amazing, run by a humble Italian family in a small town. Was so upset we couldn't take leftovers home! This was the biggest surprise and so glad we made the trip. My wife and I are foodies and as a rule never order to go or take out. We like our food fresh, hot and eaten immediately when cooked. Unfortunately in this case my ailing parents made this impossible, so wanting to give business to a local independent restaurant, we called Genova. We ordered a variety of dishes including dessert for a group of 8. It was early Saturday evening and we were given a 45 min window. The owner explained that he had just reopened because of the covid restrictions so business was slow and he would prepare everything right away. We arrived to pickup, and the food was just being loaded up. The meals were individually packed in expensive aluminum containers and a paper plate was thoughtfully placed on the bottom of each dish to prevent the hot item from burning our hand when removing. The ceaser salads & desserts were cold and packed separately. Everything remained at the right temperature for the short ride home and after unpacking and serving the only words I can say unbelievably great!. The food far exceeded everyone's expectations. The quality of the ingredients, flavor and aroma equaled anything we had eaten back in Houston. 5 stars, best kept secret in Burkburnett. Please patronize this establishment. OH MY GOD!!!! My wife and I just moved to Texas from Massachusetts, the trip sucked, the first hotel we stayed at sucked and driving for 26 hours sucked. HOWEVER, we looked for a pet friendly hotel and we found one, a great one. We were hungry so we started looking for food. We wanted something new so we tried the Italian restaurant GENOVA ITALIAN RESTAURANT. And I must say, this is THE BEST place I have ever tried. The food was delivered hot and fresh, the shrimp was cooked just right, the stuffed mushrooms were flavorful and delicious, I ordered the Margarita pizza and I must say I have had pizza from numerous places but this one is by far the best! I don't care that one of my items was not delivered because with food this good I will let it go. I don't care about other reviews, in my opinion this is a great place with perfect food. read more
