I am a bit of a pizza snob, having grown up in Detroit and worked in 5 or 6 different pizza places in high school and college. We made our choices, a pizza and two salads, and ordered. We were surprised to hear our meal included unlimited trips to the bread bar where one chooses bread and toasts it on a grate. Sadly the bread is mostly just mediocre loaf bread and a bag of focaccia-like bread. The bar offers several spread options, mostly generic semi-butterish-type spreads, including a very sharp garlic spread. Each time I toasted bread , it tasted burnt without actually being toasted. Our salads arrived and were fine. I've long since learned that real , home -made ranch is rarely served in New Brunswick, so I opted for the French. It was fine. I was disappointed by the appearance of our pizza, and its taste failed to improve my opinion. It wasn't terrible pizza, but it reminded me of frozen pizza--or the kind you might get at a roller rink or something. It had almost no sauce and little more cheese. I'm surprised the establishment survives with a Pizza Hut across the street, but perhaps the other offerings are tastier. I felt the prices were a bit steep, even for Canada, considering the product. And for some reason, a house salad is about 2-3 bucks more than a Caesar. The service was attentive; the decor pleasant; I just would have liked to have enjoyed the food more.
